NOT THE USUAL CINDERELLA (Season 2)
WANT TO MEET THAT GIRL
Seeing Vincent's condition, it felt like Deanda wanted to run over and hug his father-in-law, trying to provide comfort to the man who from the beginning of their meeting had been so kind, like his real father. It makes Deanda seem to have a father again.
Alvero could only take a deep breath while closing his eyes for a moment. The man can feel the sadness, regret and heartbreak that Vincent is going through, but Alvero is not someone who has the ability to say sweet and comforting words to others, unless that guy is Deanda. Making him choose better silence than he misspoke and make others misunderstand with his good intentions that are meant to entertain.
For some time Deanda and Alvero were both silent, letting Vincent let go of his grief and regret by crying as much as possible, while lapping his chest.
"Son..." After being content to spill his emotions in his tears, Vincent said softly to Alvero.
"Yes Pa..." Alvero immediately intercepted a call from Vincent.
"I know for sure, Larena couldn't possibly give the pendant to just anyone, let alone someone who didn't have any relationship with her. Bring the girl wearing the locket to me. I had to meet the girl and ask her how she could get the locket from Larena." Vincent said in a voice that sounded so hoarse because he had just cried out loud.
"Good Pa. I'll arrange for that soon. The important thing is to control yourself Papa first for now. Don't make this a burden on Papa's mind so that it interferes with your health." In a slow motion Vincent nodded his head as soon as he heard Alvero's words, although in his heart he was not sure, he could do that easily.
After decades of separation from the woman he loved so much and missed so much, how could Vincent have calmed down when today he heard the news of the possibility that the woman he loved was still alive, even had a daughter from him.
"I have sinned enough for Larena to let her go from the palace and experience something terrible that night. If Larena was pregnant at the time, I don't know how I could have atoned for all my sins and wrongs to Larena." Vincent said as he tried so hard that his eyes would no longer shed tears.
But no matter how hard he tried, his tears still fell little by little followed by his breath that was wheezing and his body slightly shook because it tried to hold back his crying, making Alvero actually feel misbehaved, making Alvero actually feel, it was as if he caused all that.
"Pa, whatever your mother did that day.her decision to leave you on that day, you must have thought about it with a long and long thought. For mama, it's also not easy to leave you two. And if it may turn out to be true the girl is the son of Larena's mother. Mama Larena must have had good reason to hide the truth about it all. To be sure, he did it so that mama could protect Papa and his highness Alvero. Who is the woman who does not want to see her beloved husband and children living well and safely, also happily?" Deanda tried to give the words he hoped would calm Vincent and Alvero.
"If the girl is the child of Larena's mother, it means that at the time of the fire, Larena's mother survived. And for now, we can hope that Mama Larena is still living healthily somewhere even though there is no one near us. I think that would be the happiest thing for all of us compared to us having to keep stuck with our past that can't be repeated and changed again." Deanda's words succeed in making both Alvero and Vincent take a deep breath and hope Deanda's words are a reality.
Both Vincent and Alvero felt much calmer after Deanda had spoken her words about the reality they had to face at the moment, rather than thinking too much about the past they would never be able to change again. Whether it's regret, mistakes or bad things that have happened, now all they have to think about is finding the truth in order to make things better in the future.
Even if possible, make amends for every mistake that has ever happened and correct it.
"Tomorrow we will meet the girl and invite her to meet Papa." Alvero said as he looked back at the phone screen in seriousness, he was relieved to see Vincent's face which looked much calmer after hearing Deanda's words.
"Who's the girl's name?" Vincent asked while taking a deep breath.
Ever since Alvero told about the whereabouts of the girl wearing Larena's necklace and pendant, it felt like Vincent couldn't stop thinking about the girl. And his heart felt so curious about the figure of the girl, as if there was indeed a connection between him and the girl who used the locket owned by Larena.
"I forgot what the girl's last name was. To be sure, as I recall the girl's surname is not the name of any of the nobles in Gracetian. The girl's first name is Alaya." Vincent again gasped in shock at the name mentioned by Alvero.
"Al... Alaya?" Vincent repeated Alvero's words again with a face that looked so shocked and immediately looked so panicked, making his face pale again.
