My Yakuza Boyfriend's

My Yakuza Boyfriend's
Chapter 5 - The Show

The day of the show arrives on Christmas Eve. Me and the other colleagues have been in the hall since morning. The show started at 3 p.m. We wear costumes in the dressing room. I followed Makoto's advice to use contact lenses. It was a bit difficult at the beginning of the installation because I was not used to it. But I set myself to put that little lens in my eyeball. Many people have colorful contact lenses, but I prefer the clear ones. I put a Cinderella costume on my body. Very comfortable, the material is smooth and does not make me itch. This dress must have been deliberately made so that I could move freely. Apparently they know I don't really like tight ones. Then, I put a blonde wig on my head and made myself look like a scarecrow.

After everything was plugged in, I went out to get dressed. They see me like they see a ghost. Yes, of course I'm ugly. My pale skin doesn't match any color. And this blonde hair is a shame.

"Come, come. Hurry up you guys move! There's 2 hours left to go" Taguchi-sensei ordered the stage stylist and the rest of the crew. "ah! Cinderella, you're so beautiful" she continued, happy to find me.

"I'm prettier, sensei," cut Koizumi who suddenly appeared from the front of the stage. He wore a costume with a lot of colors and ribbons.

"I thought the costume was for you" Taguchi-sensei clapped, then walked over to Koizumi, while I went to the dressing room.

The role of stepmother, and the two half-sisters each have 2 kinds of costumes, namely costumes for the house, as well as dance costume, so the makeup artists dress them with 2 kinds of makeup as well. I have 3 costumes. You can imagine how troublesome I am and my makeup artists are. However, I accepted whatever they put on my face because I basically couldn't dance. With the boss style, Koizumi protested a lot to make them upset.

Each of us can invite one person from outside the school to watch. Since Grandma was far away in Hokkaido and Misaki could not get out of the hospital, then I invited Tora, if she could come. I know he's busy until he gets an impromptu call in the middle of the night. If he doesn't come, it's not a problem for me.

At exactly 3 p.m., the stage curtain opened. The audience seats were full and only the stage lights were lit. We, the players, are backstage, waiting for our turn out.

"You ready?" whispered Seiji who I didn't realize was next to me. That handsome fellow was wearing a dark red Prince costume. Basically, it is handsome. Wearing any costume, Seiji definitely remained handsome as ever.

I nodded steadily, then came out from backstage. I can't hide my worry about being here. My eyes are watching me. My role now is as Cinderella who has a new mother and 2 half-sisters. I saw Koizumi was glaring at me from earlier. He must have prepared everything to oppress me. They all told me to do this and it was like in a scenario. Then, the stepmother got an invitation to the dance from the kingdom. The prince is looking for a wife.

We went backstage, replaced by the Prince inside the palace. I was amazed at the stage crew. The decoration is very nice and interesting. The atmosphere of the palace is felt with beautiful lights and antique furniture with carvings in the corners.

I changed the second costume, which was a dance costume that would later be torn here and there by my two half-sisters. Costume makers have prepared which stitches will come off and overlay them with fabric on the inside. I just stay to act as a weak, whiny, and downtrodden Cinderella. I never liked this part.

Koizumi has also changed her costume. She was very beautiful wearing a gold dress, while her sister felt inferior in pink. Oh my goodness, Koizumi Rina. She really wants to be the queen.

The female actors returned to the stage. Cinderella prepared everything for her mother and her two half-sisters, but she was not ready. Cinderella's friends, the birds and the rats, had made her a feast dress. However, as soon as he wore it, his half-sister was immediately beavering.

Koizumi looked at me sharply. She must have loved the part where I would be the tormented one. I could see from the light of his eyes that wanted to make me suffer. At first, she pulled a ribbon on my skirt. The ribbon simply dislodged according to the scenario and seams. My step-sister pulled next to my dress sleeve until it came off easily. Then, Koizumi stepped closer to me and pushed me down.

I don't think this is in the scenario.

I rise to my feet. Kulirik Taguchi-sensei is watching from behind the curtain. He just shut up. Maybe he thinks it's improvisation. Koizumi. Luckily I clamped that blonde wiggly hair tight in my real hair. Then, Koizumi pulled the neck of my dress with all her strength. That part was torn to the point of showing half my chest. The audience cheered.

Very absent in the scenario.

"What are you doing?" I whispered to Koizumi while trying to cover my chest.

"Felt!" yells. His eyes are wild. He must be crazy.

Next what? Kulirik once again Taguchi-sensei. This time he looked worried, but still did nothing. If I had to think about it myself considering the success of this drama, I would rather run away.

It turns out my actions were right. They continued the story to the dance. The stepmother along with her two children came to the palace in a horse-drawn carriage. The prince became acquainted with the three of them, then danced in turns, while I was still struggling with my torn costume. The costume stylists put hooks on the inside of my costume so as not to show my chest again.

I also came out for the scene of Cinderella meeting with a kind fairy. It's hard to pretend to cry. The last time I cried was when I was abandoned. The fairy came and swung her magic wand. I went back to the stage to change into a costume.

"Cinderella, come here" called Taguchi-sensei as I was just coming out of the dressing room.

"Yes, sensei," I walked up to her with great difficulty, as it turned out to be difficult to walk in high heels in this long dress.

"Do a kiss scene with Seiji!" his orders.

"Haaa? It's not in the scenario!" my protest.

"I've discussed it with Seiji, and he doesn't mind."

I didn't want to talk about this, so I went straight into the dressing room to get dressed. But it turns out Taguchi-sensei was following me.

"This is for the sake of the success of the drama" he persuaded.

"That's no effect."

"Listen, Ayase," Taguchi-sensei finally mentioned my name. "The audience has been shocked by Koizumi who brutally tore your dress. We have to give a sweet surprise at the end of the story."

"No! I don't want to!" I said without looking at my teacher because my face was being polished. I just glanced at him from the mirror.

"I'm sure the audience will like it. And you'll be the most popular student in school for kissing Seiji."

"What's? I've been quite popular for showing my chest in public" I said pessimistically.

"It's over" said the makeup artist to me with a smile. "You're so pretty."

I noticed my own reflection. My eyes grew round, my nose looked sharp, my cheeks blushed like peaches, my lips were light pink and looked full. The blonde wig that had been tangled due to being grabbed by Koizumi, was now neatly carried on my head. In fact, they added a blue bando, matching the sleeveless dress I was wearing. Cinderella's glass shoes have been prepared for me. It is not from real glass, but still sparkles.

"You are beautiful like this. It's a pity that it wasn't done" said Taguchi-sensei, then patted the makeup artist's shoulder in satisfaction.

"Do what? Waw! Princess, you are so beautiful!" Seiji appeared in the dressing room and was immediately excited as soon as he saw me. His eyes glistened at me from top to bottom.

"really right? Encourage him to do the kissing scene!" pinta Taguchi-sensei to Seiji. The tall slim man immediately came out to take care of the other things.

Seiji approached me. "If you don't want to, we'll pretend" he said. "I'll cover your face with my head. That's it."

"Yes.in that case, I'm okay. Promise yes! Just pretend!" I'm not overconfident and don't trust Seiji. But considering that he used to have a crush on me, I became a little cautious of him. It is possible that he still harbors feelings of liking even though he never expressed it directly. The proof, he agreed - just agreed when Taguchi-sensei added the unimportant scene.

Seiji get out first. He was waiting for me on stage. The lights are on him. Now it's my turn. My foot must have approached Seiji. The audience immediately fussed, whether they were laughing at me or praising me. The prince smiled, then extended his hand, asking me to dance.

Cinderella and Prince circled on stage with 2 other pairs of dancers. When the clock rings 12 times, Cinderella's magic will disappear and she will return like before, with torn clothes. His glass shoes were off the stairs, but he could not pick them up again. Cinderella really left the Prince. However, the Prince keeps Cinderella's shoes in hopes of meeting her again.

For the last round, the Prince looked for the idol of his heart, the owner of the glass shoes. He traveled all over the country, until he arrived at Cinderella's house. The poor girl could not get out because she was locked by her stepmother in the attic. The stepmother and her two half-sisters tried the glass shoes, but they didn't fit. Later, the rats rescue Cinderella by stealing the key from her stepmother's pocket. Cinderella can try on the glass shoes brought by the Prince. And it turns out he still keeps his partner. The prince took Cinderella to the palace and they lived happily ever after. Finishes.

That's an unrevised scenario. The word 'finished' was crossed out by Taguchi-sensei and added 'Prince and Cinderella kissing on the balcony of the palace. Finish'. Uh! I don't like this part. But that's okay, as long as it's just pretend.

"Can I do it now?" whispered Seiji who had hugged my waist.

Faintly, I nodded. So Seiji tilted his head, turning his back to the audience to cover my face. I closed my eyes to make this scene look real. I can feel Seiji breathing on my cheek. And right then, Seiji's lips stuck to mine. My eyes immediately opened wide in surprise, while Seiji hugged me even tighter. Why is it like this?

Seiji let go of his lips, then smiled. We both stood facing the audience who gave a lively cheer to our performance. They stood up while clapping. The entire cast and crew appeared on stage to greet him. We all bowed and waved our hands. The stage curtain began to close. And when between the right and left curtains stayed 30 centimeters away, I caught the figure of Tora standing near the door of the hall.

Tora's coming. Tora came and saw everything.

It made me popular, as Taguchi-sensei said. A large-size photo of the impromptu scene was displayed on the notice board under the title "Cinderella or Bad Duck?" It must have something to do with my performance on stage. Yes, I turned into a pretty blonde girl there like a ugly duckling that became an earthy white goose. Next to her is a photo of Koizumi taking my dress. The photo is not titled. Maybe because it's a secret.

But, on top of that, I'm grateful the stage went well. I owe a lot to Makoto and Tora. "Ah...Makoto-neesan and Tora.." I muttered on the roof of the school building. I was having lunch. A cool breeze hit my thin body, but I don't mind, because this is what I need. Fresh and clean air. I haven't visited Misaki in a long time. "What is he? I'd better call Tora. Who knows if he can drive me." My fingers have memorized Tora's phone number so often I call to report Misaki's progress.

"Hello, Tomomi," she said. The heavy sound I know of Tora.

"Tora-san, I want to visit Misaki. Do you have time?" my many.

"certain. I'll pick you up after school."

"OKAY. Hatchy!" I sneezed.

"You're okay..."

"What are you doing?" Seiji Voice. I looked over and found the handsome guy. He looks so happy.

I hurriedly disconnected my phone and put my phone in my skirt pocket. I'm still upset about that kiss. So I hurriedly cleaned up my food and intended to get out of here. Seeing Seiji's looks made my head dizzy.

"Oi! Where are you going?" call him. Knowing I wouldn't answer, he followed me. Retracting my arm from behind, successfully made my food box fall apart. "Aah!" Seiji looked at me. His expression indicates that he was unintentional. "I'm sorry." she said slowly. I snorted, then cleaned up the food scattered on the roof cement floor. "Let me help you."

I stood up, intending to leave.

"Hey! Wait, Tomomi!"

Actually I feel sorry for her if she has to clean up my food. It was his work, but it was my food. I don't know where my pity comes from. Leaving Seiji gave the impression of being irresponsible, so I went back to help him. We cleaned the floor without saying anything. Maybe Seiji felt bad for me, not expecting me to be this sorry. There is obviously confusion between us.

That time was like that too. What I meant was about 2 months ago, when I had to stay away from Seiji for Koizumi's request. Until now I regret it. I just want to have good friends at school. I thought Koizumi would be one of them if I was being nice. But it turns out he doesn't appreciate what I've done. I even lost Seiji who always accompanied me from the beginning I sat in the class seat I-A.

Seiji Hiromitsu. I-A class students are quite popular because of their face and talent in the field of sports, especially short distance running. "Just call me Seiji" he said as we became acquainted. He used to ask me to wait for him to go home to school together. In addition to working on PR in class, what I do in the afternoon is watch Seiji practice in the field. The run is very fast. His position in the ready state is good. Besides, I like his friendly nature to anyone, including to me who is a new child.

We often go home together because we use the same train. It's just, he went down first at one station before. In the car, we always sat next to each other, unless there was a grandmother or mother who did not get a seat. Seiji was always willing to give them his seat. He is also humble and loves to help his friends. He's an animal lover who once picked up a lizard stuck in a project dugout. He kept the lizard in his house.

In formal lessons, Seiji was smart. His grades were so much higher than me that he almost became a class champion. This mediocre me sometimes felt inferior to be around him, but he was the one who taught me to my grades better than Koizumi. The explanation is very easy to understand. He once said that I could match him if I studied harder. Yeah, I'm a slacker.

Seiji once asked me out, but I refused. It would be a pride in itself to be able to date one of the handsome guys at school. The thing is, I'm not interested in him. I just want to be friends with him. He was not angry, nor did he change his attitude. I don't know what he saw from me. Bespectacled, skinny, short, stupid, lazy. All the evil is on me.

One day, Koizumi told me to stay away from her. I'm definitely confused. Seiji might like me, but Koizumi likes Seiji. At that time, all I thought about was how good it would be if they were both. The beautiful Koizumi and the handsome Seiji. Fits great. I frankly told Seiji about this, even suggesting that he ask Koizumi for a date. However, Seiji disagreed with me. She's upset. Since then, we didn't talk to each other until the time when she and I were playing Cinderella.

I'm grateful for Seiji being the Prince because he never humbled me who wasn't good at dancing. If it was someone else, it might have insulted me wholeheartedly. Therefore, I want to study the waltz in order to compensate, not to embarrass him.

"Sorry, yes," Seiji said as he lowered his head while throwing my leftovers in the trash.

I was confused, sorry for what he just said, whether it was because of the kiss or because I dropped my food. So I just shut up.

"Later in the afternoon I'll buy ramen."

Turns out for food. "Later in the afternoon I'll be home soon" I said. "Hatchi!" I sneezed again. It seems I was on the roof for too long, making my nose clogged.

"With that guy?"

"Yes." Yeah." I know what it means is Tora.

"What do you like about him?" Seiji must have heard rumors about me, so he assumed I was dating Tora.

I'm not dating anyone. Should I tell Seiji about this?

"It looks like he came during the drama. Did he see me kiss you?" tanyakanya.

Tora saw it, you idiot!

"Is he jealous?" ask again. "I won't apologize for the kiss."
