My Yakuza Boyfriend's

My Yakuza Boyfriend's
Chapter 10 - Confession

Grandma's funeral took place in a simple manner at Grandma's house 2 days later. I wore a black kimono like the rest of my family. We would like to thank the people who have come, the neighbors and close relatives. What is unexpected is the presence of Kumicho. She must have known it from Tora, but Tora herself didn't go inside. And today he wears a mask, so that his mustache and beard are disguised.

I approached Tora outside to ask her to come in because it was cold outside, but she refused on the grounds that Kumicho would be out soon.

"Tomomi, I'm so sad" said Tora slowly. His eyes radiate sincerity.

"Thank you, Tora-san." We were silent afterwards, but my mind went everywhere. My guilt has arisen again.

"You okay?"

"I was just thinking. If I hadn't been to Tokyo, maybe Grandma would still be healthy, right? I mean, maybe I could persuade her to go to the doctor. I can also work so he doesn't have to make any more money."

"Yes, maybe."

"You think so too? I was the one who made him die. Grandma must blame me. I'm not forgiven for making my loved ones die. Grandma always protected me, but I couldn't protect her. All I did was call and tell her what happened in Tokyo, but I never listened to her complaints. Grandma had always been so, not wanting to make anyone else worry." I looked at the photo of Grandma that was plastered inside the house. His face was always smiling, bringing out the lines of wrinkles around his eyes and nose. Over time, my vision blurred with tears. "I love him, but I also caused him to die." My voice is becoming more and more unclear.

Tora patted my shoulder and placed her hand there. "Your grandmother was a good man. I can see it from the picture" he said.

"Yes right? But now he's gone!" I sobbed until some people noticed me.

"Listen to me, Tomomi," Tora bent her body to align her eyes with mine. "I know you're sorry, but, like I said, your grandmother was a good person. So, he can't possibly blame you. I think he's praying for you to keep you excited and happy."

"How did you know? You don't even know her."

"You told me your grandmother didn't want to make anyone else worry. He doesn't want to see you sad. Refresh yourself, Ayase Tomomi."

I'm nodding. At a time like this, I wanted Tora to hug me, but I knew it couldn't happen. His words just now had calmed me down enough. "Thank you, Tora-san."

After the event was over and there were no guests left, Uncle Kazuya, and Uncle Yuji sat in the living room. They said there was something to talk to me about.

"Look, Tomomi. Since now no one else lives in this house, we both have already thought about selling it," Uncle Yuji said.

"Eh? Sell this house?" my many.

Uncle Yuji nodded. "You know, we both have families. We're in trouble..."

"Wait first! So you think this is a coincidence?" cut me.

"If you want to say it like that, yes this might be a coincidence," Uncle Kazuya said. This time I saw him so excited. "But this is also for our family. I'm sure your father would also agree to sell it."

"My father doesn't exist!" Selling a house after its owner dies is an attitude of disrespect. I didn't like it because they were impressed to expect Grandma to die in order to take advantage of her home.

"Listen, Tomomi," said Uncle Yuji more gently. "We understand you feel good about this house. These are your only memories with your grandmother. That's why we want to talk to you about it. We want you to also understand that I have to finance my two children, and Kazuya will open a business in his home. Not to mention if you want to go to college later. It all requires a lot of money. You got it, right?"

I kept quiet because I was confused. Uncle Yuji's talk has a point. This house will be empty because my two uncles do not live here. I rarely go home and probably won't be home again forever. If Grandma's not around, I have no reason to go home. I was born in Tokyo. That's where I'll settle down. Finally, I gave a nod to my two uncles.

My late return to Tokyo was questioned by my homeroom teacher at school. News spread quickly. My friends say "a row of mourning". I held back the tears as Koizumi hugged me and tried to be casual at school. At home, I cried for days. The memory of Grandma always comes. Her calm and friendly face could not be lost from my memory. Grandma is a good woman. He was so excited at his advanced age, never complaining or scolding me, even though I denied it sometimes, like when he barred me from Tokyo last year. My grandmother was like my own mother. He gave me love that my mother did not give me, as well as a firmness that my father could not give.

Grandma was present in my dreams the following nights, as if I had not let her go. However, Grandma smiled and rubbed my head without saying anything. It made me understand that I had to move on with my own life. Grandma must have seen and prayed for me from Heaven.

My second final exam was quite satisfactory. The class champion is held by the child from the next class. I was ranked 32nd out of a class of 120 students. Koizumi immediately invited me to celebrate with karaoke, but I refused because I wanted to visit Misaki. Surprisingly, Koizumi even wanted to come with me to the hospital.

I told Koizumi everything. About who Misaki is and how she ended up in a mental hospital. I thought Koizumi would tease me if I mentioned Tora's name. Justright. "So this Tonomura-chan is your sister-in-law's candidate huh?" he asked with a mischievous expression on the train we were riding to the station near the hospital. "Why don't you express your feelings for that creepy guy anyway?" I laughed because Koizumi called Tora a creepy guy. "Why are you laughing? Lookie! The women are now preparing chocolates to give to the guys they like. Valentine!" screeching thrills.

I usually only eat Grandma's chocolate cake on Valentine's Day. Grandma made it in large size so that it can be enjoyed by all family members and it tastes very good. "I never gave chocolate to anyone" I said.

"eeeh? You've never liked a guy before?" ask Koizumi wonder.

"No. I never even thought about it."

"Look. Let's just say Seiji-kun isn't that bad. Are you gonna like it? Because your relationship is so close."

I shrugged my shoulders. "Looks not," I answered briefly.

"Why?" Koizumi's call this time made some passengers turn their heads.

"I don't like handsome guys."

Koizumi. "Your taste is weird, yes" he said flatly. "Easy! It doesn't matter who you like. I think it's better if you say what you feel before you regret it when he's taken away."

Makoto's face immediately appeared in my head. The beautiful woman seems to like Tora. I could see him laughing in front of Tora as they danced. He even gave her the alarm number. Is it possible that this is the strategy if you want to invite Tora? Instantly, my body creeps.

I'm nodding. "Women are so cool" I said.

"Eh? Is there really another girl? Really, your taste is weird!" Koizumi laughed at me and Makoto. "I'll help you make chocolate!"

"Can you?"

"Hey, don't underestimate me. I've been able to make pancakes since I was five" Koizumi said proudly.

"Waaah... You could be an Iron Chef participant," my lead.

"Shut up!"

"ah! Pick flowers for Misaki yes!" I'm asking Koizumi.

"Would you like to bring some flowers?"

Misaki is surprised by Koizumi's arrival, but she is happy to have a new friend. As expected, Tora Kucing welcomed Koizumi's beautiful presence. They get along in just a few minutes. Misaki supported Koizumi's efforts to persuade me to make chocolate. She didn't know that I would give it to Tora, her own sister. Koizumi can also keep that a secret.

We were in Misaki's room until the sisters kicked us out. So busy chatting, we forgot to eat, so our stomachs were rumbling. I was worried about Koizumi, but she said it was okay. Finally, we ate takoyaki on the side of the road to just stuff the stomach.

I came home happy. Today I managed to forget my sadness that was yesterday. Tomorrow and beyond, I should be even more excited.

My phone's beeping. Koizumi sent a message, "I just got home. Go play tomorrow to my house. We're gonna make chocolate."

"Is it really important?" muttered.

🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

Just in early February alone, there are many stores that sell chocolate with a variety of shapes and contents. Chocolate is usually sweet, but I prefer a slightly bitter one. I never thought of giving chocolate to a man. In my old school, I always brought Grandma's chocolate cake to class if there was any leftover, and my friends spent it in a matter of minutes.

Waking up in the morning with watery eyes because crying makes me not excited. I dreamed of giving Tora chocolate but Tora refused it on the grounds that it had been made with Makoto. Then, Tora threw my chocolate into the river. I looked around for her like a fidelity, hoping Tora would accept it next year. What a strange and terrible dream.

I told Koizumi my dream, but she didn't care. He also took his two friends, Matsumoto and Ueda, to his house. They both seem to have played to Koizumi's house a lot. The 2-story building in a minimalist style is located in an elite housing complex. Koizumi's mother is a housewife, while her father is the director of one of Tokyo's five-star hotels. Koizumi has a younger brother who is still in elementary school, named Ruki. He had not gone to school when we went to his house.

Koizumi's mother served warm tea because it was cold outside. Dried pastries are also available in jars. As I expected when I saw Koizumi being picked up by a woman on the eve of the new year, that woman was her mother. They are both beautiful and elegant. In the family photo displayed on the wall of the living room, Koizumi's father turned out to be thick-bodied and Ruki inherited it.

We borrowed the Koizumi family's spacious and neat kitchen. Stoves with 4 axes, large 2-stacking ovens, super large and sturdy refrigerators, as well as counter tables with charming designs in salem. Grandma would be envious if she saw him.

We tried making chocolate cake. Koizumi's recipe is a little different from Grandma's, but both are equally delicious. To be honest, I can't really tell which one is better. I think the chocolate biscuits from Tora at that time were delicious. In fact, it is only biscuits that are purchased at the minimarket. So, to me, anything feels good, as long as it's chocolate.

"You're not afraid of acne? Eat that much chocolate" said Koizumi, astonished to see me eating the most chocolate cake we made.

"No. Here's the proof" I showed my cheeks that were clear of pimples.

"You don't have to show it off like that, Cinderella!" koizumi.

The atmosphere of the kitchen became crowded and exciting when Matsumoto began to sing in a discordant voice, followed by Ueda who was also not good at singing. Koizumi and I laughed at their style.

In the end, we managed to finish the chocolate cake we wanted. It feels so good and delicious. Koizumi had already recorded the necessary ingredients along with the dosage, then she gave the note to me. I don't have an oven as good as Koizumi's, but I think it'll taste just as good.

February 14th falls on Friday. The students and teachers at my school share the chocolates with the intended people. I saw my homeroom teacher give a box of chocolates to Taguchi-sensei who accepted it shyly. Koizumi takes her chocolate to class and eats it alone. Almost all schoolchildren celebrate Valentine's Day. Some cried because they were rejected, some laughed happily.

I hurried home after the bell rang. My chocolate cake should be on time. Deftly and carefully, I followed what was in the recipe. Koizumi wrote it very clearly, making it very easy for me to do it. Anxiously, I waited for my oven to clink. My cake should not be charred or too soft. I've adjusted the fire. And when I took it out of the oven, my smile immediately widened. My cake is perfectly mature.

After wrapping it neatly with a white box decorated with red ribbons, I rushed to change clothes and wash my face. I dressed up a little and got my hair done. After being sure of everything, I left.

In the car, my stomach hurt, my heart was pounding faster than usual, my lips couldn't stop smiling. Is this what his name is like falling in love? However, a second later, worries began to strike. What if Tora doesn't like me? What if my dream really came true? That kind of question gets my spirits down. But soon I'll be at Shinjuku Station. There's no reason to stop. I have to see him.

Shinjuku was crowded as if there was no place to remain silent. All visitors enjoy the entertainment here. Quickly, I found Freeze. I called Tora to tell her where I was.

"Hello, Tomomi," she said.

"Tora-san, I'm in front of Freeze," I said nervously.

"Eh? I'm not in Freeze. I was waiting for my friend. It's only a few blocks away. If you want, come here."

"Yes. Alright. From here, which way?"

Tora gave me a hint. I let the phone connection stay connected because I don't want to go wrong in Shinjuku. I found Tora standing alone in front of a host club. This time she was wearing a knitted scarf. He smiled to see me. Instantly, my heart danced. After saying a prayer in my heart, I approached her.

"Hi" I said nervously.

"Tomomi, what brings you here?" tanyanya wants to know.

"Your friend hasn't come yet?" my reply. I think I should make sure the situation is safe. I want no one else to know that I'm expressing love to her. Because if I, amit-amit, am rejected, I should not hide my face in public.

"Not yet."

"Oh."

I encouraged myself. With all my courage, I handed over the box of my hard-working chocolate cake. "For you. Happy Valentine's Day!" I said.

"Eh? Right me?"

I nodded hard. My behavior's getting weird. "Actually I..." The debate goes on in my head. "I love you, Tora-san!" I cried, not daring to look directly into his eyes, so he immediately looked down. I'm sweating even though it's cold tonight.

Tora's been quiet for too long.

There was the sound of clapping from the right, precisely from the front door of the host club. "That's amazing!" exclaiming a man. He approached me and Tora. The road style is elegant. What attracted the most attention was his shiny black shoes. The man was thin in stature but almost the same height as Tora. His face is handsome. Her brown hair is long to the nape and stylish blow out. He wore a white shirt and a black unbuttoned blazer, combined with black trousers. His fingers were wearing several silver rings. Appearance of host. "The beautiful girl expresses her feelings to the handsome man. It's so awesome!"
