The day that made me flutter was not because it finally arrived. Tora picked me up early in the morning. I didn't let him change clothes. He came and took my things to his car. After that, he came back to pull me out of my apartment. "Sayonara" he said as he closed the door behind him. This man was so excited that he whistled and sang. I don't know what song he was singing. In fact I thought it was Hanazawa-gumi's theme song.
"I work this day until night. So, after school, go straight home huh," Tora ordered as we were on our way to her residence.
"If I can remember the way home" I said.
"You must remember! My house is not far from your school."
"really? Elite area?"
"Not really. My house is not as big as Makoto's house which has 2 floors, but enough to live in 1 family."
"Well! Then..." I was speechless, not so saying a brilliant idea that Tora could bring Misaki to live with her. If I were to give you the idea, Tora would definitely agree to it soon. I'd better not lure him to carry out my idea because it's very dangerous.
"Then?" tanyanya waiting for the continuation of my sentence.
"Then Makoto-neesan is more prosperous than you. I'll just stay with him," my lead.
"Eh? What's?" Tora's eyes widened. "Review yes!" threaten her.
I laughed at his expression. "You can't possibly be jealous of women right, Tora-san?"
"Makoto is actually a man."
"Eh? Lied!" This time I glared.
"Indeed lie," Tora laughed.
We arrived at a residential area. I immediately liked this area because it looks friendly and clean. The houses on the left-right that we passed by all had 1 floor. Colorful wall paint. A sturdy roof is good for protecting the house from hurricanes. I wanted to know the inside of his house.
"That," said Tora, pointed to a whitewashed house on the right side of the street.
I can't believe Tora's house is painted white and looks well maintained. "Beautiful," praised. When I got out of the car, it was more obvious that the house was equipped with a signboard that read "Tonomura". It is not at all like a Yakuza house. When I compare with the house of Makoto-neesan, Tora's house is certainly simpler. It seems that Tora does not want the hassles of taking care of the garden or cleaning the spacious courtyard.
"Come," he asked after taking down my not-so-much things. I just brought a suitcase and a bag. Tora carried it easily. His body is big and strong. He led me through his yard and opened his door. "Welcome home."
I followed him from behind. The inside of the house looks empty. On the left is a kitchen and dining table. A few meters in front of him was a set of dark yellow sofas surrounding a wooden coffee table. On the wall was a large television with a short cabinet underneath. Tora likes to watch. On the right side there are 3 doors that I estimate is the bedroom and bathroom.
"Your room is there" said Tora. His long steps cut open the wooden floor of his house to the last door from where I stood.
After removing the shoes, I approached Tora who was opening the door to my room. In the room there is a bed for one person, a study table, and a medium-sized wardrobe. He must have prepared everything. "You cleaned it?" my many.
Tora nodded. "I hope you're comfortable" he said, putting my suitcase on the floor and my bag on the desk. "This table is so you can do your schoolwork."
I couldn't hold back my laughter because Tora looked like a father who had just adopted a schoolboy. It was so exciting to see this unique Yakuza. He was very attentive to me. "Thank you, Tora-san."
"Please prepare. I'll wait outside. I'll take you to school."
I sat on the bed as soon as Tora came out. This bed is so soft. A large window next to the wardrobe allowed me to see the back of the house. There are a few strands of Tora clothes that are dried there. Tora has been doing everything alone. Truly an independent person. I often see my two uncles whose needs are always taken care of by their respective wives. And now I'm starting to think, if maybe I'll have to take care of all Tora's needs. I don't have that ability yet, but I'll try if that's what it's supposed to be.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I fulfilled my promise to return home on time. Tora has given me the spare key to her house. When I got home, there was no one. It feels a little weird. The owner of this house rarely spends time at home, except during holidays. What was Tora like in her own home?
I didn't notice this morning, but the kitchen was pretty clean. The coffee table is dusty, as well as the television and cabinet cabinet. In the bathroom there is a shower, bath tub, latrine, and sink with a mirror on it. Apparently Tora sometimes soaks because the inside of her bath tub is a little slippery. The floor can also make people slip in certain parts.
"He just cleaned my room" I muttered alone. My voice echoed in the bathroom.
I wanted to take a peek at Tora's room, but it wasn't because maybe I'd find something creepy. Although he does not seem to like things that smell of horror, it is not impossible that he has a ghost mask like Makoto.
"I'd better clean up" I said, turning to the back of the house to pick up a broom.
At 7 p.m. I was hungry and the owner did not come home. Rather than starving to death, I decided to look for something that could be cooked in the refrigerator. I remember Grandma cooking because she had no idea about cooking. Then I'll cook like that. I take vegetables and seasonings as necessary. I don't know what Tora's going to do with these ingredients, but I'll replace them tomorrow.
I cleaned Tora's kitchen until the stove was shiny. I cooked for Tora too, just in case she was hungry, even though it wasn't as good as her cooking. After the meal, I was doing schoolwork that was supposed to be gathered next week to kill time. Waiting is not boring when I do something.
I turned on the television at 10. Yet, repeatedly falling asleep. I was at a loss to choose whether to sleep or to wait for the busy Yakuza's return.
A second later, my eyes opened and I sat in bed. "Eh?" As I recall, I watched television last night. It must be Tora who moved me to my room. I rushed out too. "Tora-san," call me.
Tora does not exist. This house is as quiet as yesterday. Kulrik dining table. The plate of food I made for Tora last night has disappeared.
"At least he ate," I shrugged. "I think I'm going to school alone."
School continues as usual. Today there is a sports lesson. I managed to embarrass myself by falling in the middle of the basketball court because I was too excited to chase the ball. As a result, my knee was scratched and bruised. At recess, I fell down the stairs in a hurry to get to class. My collarbone stumbled on the lip of the stairs and immediately turned blue. Really shit.
The old men say, "If you're unlucky by day, by night you'll be lucky." I hope that's true. I've never experienced anything like this before. To me, my days are ordinary. Well, before meeting Tora. If my misfortune brings good results, then the saying is true.
I was waiting for that luck to come home. By ourselves. I tried to send a message to Tora, but she didn't reply. Of course I didn't dare call him because I didn't know what kind of task he was carrying out. It could be that he was driving Kumicho to smuggle weapons or collect debts to gloomy places or even have fun with the Hanazawa-gumi brothers, accompanied by sexy beautiful women who swerve on the stage of the stripper club.
Never mind. I kept fantasizing. Over time, I became more and more angry. I better not think about it at all. What will happen, will happen. I was unlucky this morning. It's okay if God wants to add to my misfortune. I'll be sleeping soon. Tomorrow may not be as bad as today.
But the reality remains the same. Tora left early in the morning before I woke up. Or did he not come home? It's the same as living alone in my apartment. Although small and damp, I never felt lonely like this. It was Tora who took me to live with her, but she also left me at her house. Does he really not want me here?
No. gabe. I can't give up. I'll wait till he gets home. I can't fall asleep anymore.
I deliberately watched DVD movies to keep my eyes open. The wall clock showed at 11pm and I kept watching. Finally, at 2 o'clock in 25 minutes, the doorbell rang. If Tora's carrying the key, why would she push the bell? To be sure, I peeked out from behind the curtains.
A man was looking down in front of the fence. I couldn't see his face, but he was wearing a white long-sleeved shirt and black trousers. The lights in Tora's courtyard were unable to make clear what I was seeing. What matters is that he's human.
I stopped the movie I was playing to get out. "Who?" ask that guest. When he lifted his head, I recognized him. "Yin-san?"
Tora's friend's host gave her a brilliant smile to me, making me suspect that she was drunk. After all, why did he visit in the early hours of this day. "Good night, Tomomi-chan," she said politely. "You haven't slept yet."
"I'm waiting for Tora-san."
"Can I come in?"
"Oh," I just realized I haven't opened the door for her yet. "Yes, of course."
Kei walked in past me casually. "Can I borrow your bathroom?"
I nodded while wondering to myself. Kei came here, must have had a purpose. There's no way he's stopping by to just poop. I followed Kei inside.
"No!" my tukas.
He laughed a little before going to the bathroom. Shortly afterwards, there was the sound of water running down the sink.
"He was just washing his face" I murmured.
"What are you watching?" asked Kei who had come out when I turned off the television.
"DWD."
"Can I watch?"
"Eh? I turned it off." What exactly did this guy mean by coming here? Borrowing a bathroom and watching a movie.
"You got food? I'm hungry."
All that was left was food for Tora which I cooked with all my heart. I don't want to give it to Kei. My hope is that Tora comes home and eats it. But the food must have been cold. Unfortunately, the fate of the woman who waited for her boyfriend to come home. "Eat only Tora-san's. I don't think he's coming home tonight" I sighed.
Kei ate voraciously as if he had not eaten for days. He put his dinner plate in the sink, then rested himself there.
The atmosphere was silent because none of us spoke.
I waited for him to explain the purpose of his arrival, but he only gave a flat expression. "Actually, what do you want? Tora-san is not here."
"Today Tora-kun got a lot of assignments from Kumicho. He's sorry for not being able to accompany you."
"He told you to tell me?"
Kei nodded.
Tora couldn't say it herself. In fact, he could not type it in a short message. He asked others to convey it. Real nice. "I'll call him" I said impatiently.
"Don't!" prevent Kei.
"Why?"
"Now he's with Kumicho. They had a meeting with one of Kumicho's business relations. Even if you call, maybe he won't answer."
"So now Tora-san has already risen in rank?"
"That's kind of," Kei folded his arms in front of his chest.
"Then, your goal came here?"
"Oh, I just asked Tora-kun to look at you for a second."
"What?"
"I've seen you. Then, I go home huh," Kei moved from where he leaned to the exit. I let him out on his own.
The next day, Kei comes again. Same with tomorrow and tomorrow again. I came to the conclusion that if Kei comes, it means Tora doesn't come home. I can't believe Tora could do that to me. Getting other people to look at me and report my situation. Then, if you know I'm okay, then he can continue to work without coming home. Sometimes, it might be better to have a girlfriend who is not a Yakuza.
I knew Tora would get in trouble if she didn't carry out Kumicho's orders. But couldn't he tell me himself? Is it difficult to call or send messages via cell phone? I won't scold him.
It's a bitch that there's no Tora.
"I'm home, yes" said Kei when visiting again. Every time he came, he just asked for food and borrowed the bathroom. My assessment of him has changed a little. At first, I thought he was just a bully, but it turned out that he was good because he wanted to be told this - it was by Tora. For some reason, Kei who used to be chatty, now became quiet. Like refraining from talking much. "Tomomi-chan," he stopped his steps, then turned around.
"Yes?"
"If you put on that gloomy look every day, you'll never be happy" he said.
"Eh?" I just realized my face was flat from yesterday. At school, I refused to chat with my friends, nor did I pay attention to the lessons well. "This is because of Tora-san," I glanced to the right.
"Don't you think that he's paying attention to you?"
The cold wind tonight gives me goosebumps. "What is paying attention? He hasn't been home for days. I was like a fool waiting for him. Eventually, I will die alone like Kumicho's wife."
Kei laughing. "If Tora-kun doesn't pay attention to you, I won't come every day. I'm willing to help her as much as I can because seeing her is so worried about you. She feels so guilty for you, Tomomi-chan."
His words are true too.
"Smile. Luck will come to the person who is always smiling" Kei widened his smile.
I've never seen Kei smile like this before. Usually what emanates on his face is a disgusting host-style smile.
"Then... I'll go home first."
"Thank you, Kei-san," I said.
At 3 in the morning, what am I gonna do? I'm not sleepy at all. I might not be able to sleep even if I try. All schoolwork has been completed. I have no desire to read books or watch television.
Kei's right. Pouting and moody will only worsen my fate. I wondered if Kei's smile towards his customers was sincere. Every day he accompanied the women. If you don't smile, your guests will feel uncomfortable. Moreover, Kei is the best-selling host at his club. Just a little mistake, the guests will not come again. Does Kei like his job?
My eyes are heavy, but my brain isn't tired. I even had the chance to imagine what if Tora and I separated. My apartment was occupied by someone else, so I was hanging on the street. No money, no place to live. Eventually someone found me and made me his money at the stripper club. My future, which should be next to Tora's, turned one hundred and eighty degrees. I was nurtured by a distended old man to serve as a sex slave.
I was too scared, so chose to stay here. Anyway, this is Tora's house. This is where he lives. My confidence increased as my trust in him increased.
I curled up on Tora's big couch thinking about where my boyfriend is right now. Is he still at the club, or driving Kumicho, or is he with Makoto? Until now, I still have a little jealousy towards that woman. This problem is on me. I don't know for sure if Makoto likes Tora. He never said it directly.
Speaking of Makoto, I remember when we met at the hospital. What if he doesn't believe in my fake story about Misaki? What will he do if he finds out that Tora is also visiting Misaki? Could it be that he would divulge this secret to Kumicho? Makoto is Kumicho's confidant, so it's highly likely that he won't betray Hanazawa-gumi by keeping this a secret. If you knew, what would the white-haired grandfather do? Killing us?
My hair was straight like a cat.
