My Yakuza Boyfriend's

My Yakuza Boyfriend's
Chapter 23 - Kei's

The receptionist gave me the room key. While the woman was picking up the medicine box, Kei constantly held onto her stomach. Goro's punch hit his ribs. It must hurt a lot. Tora was once beaten to a swelling, but she was big. I think Kei's injuries were worse than Tora's at the time. I wondered if Kei could still be the host if the wounds on his face were to scar.

We passed through a long hallway that only fit for 2 people. The lights above us glowed dimly, some were not even lit.

"This is it" Kei said, referring to a door numbered 112 on the left.

Me and Kei walked into our room which was neater than my shadow. The bathroom is clean even though it is narrow. My main concern is the bed. A bed for 2 people dominates the room. The small cupboard is right in the inner corner. No television, not even a refrigerator. There was only a telephone table on the edge of the bed. There was a wooden chair next to the closet. At least they gave 2 bottles of mineral water next to the phone plane.

"Sit down first, Kei-san. I'll get you some water" I said. I put my bag on the floor, then went to the phone table, and I opened a bottle of water for Kei. As soon as I turned around, my eyes fell on Kei's back. And it keeps me glued. My heart was beating like it was going to explode. Unknowingly, I took a step back. My heel hit the foot of the table until it almost made me fall.

A blue-bodied and green-finned dragon with a green back that coiled around almost the entire back of Kei was looking at me with his silver-colored eyeballs. His body shape is slim solid, his scales glisten silvery, his four legs are strong as if able to grip anything that becomes prey. The background of the tattoo is similar to an ocean or green lake toska. The longer, the more I admired him, making me want to get into the painting.

Kei's call jumped my shoulder. "Can I ask for water?" ask her while smiling sideways. This guy wasn't trying to cover his tattoo at all.

"Eh? Yep! Please!" I gave the bottle I don't know how long it's been in my hands to Kei.

"You sure there's no saliva in here?"

"Huh? Sure didn't! You idiot!" myrag.

Kei laughed, then gulped down his drink greedily. "You don't have to look at me like that, Tomomi-chan. You've seen Tora-kun's tiger, haven't you?"

I'm nodding. I'll let my daydreams go on about the Kei tattoo. "Let me treat your wound," I stepped before Kei to examine his stomach. I'm not a doctor, but if it's just an external wound, I can help.

There is a bruise on the lower left side of the ribs. Goro must have hit him so hard that he left such a wound. Somehow Kei endured the pain, but he must have felt it when moving. I didn't think a host could fight. In my previous shadow, the hosts were just a collection of weak men who could only serve their female guests with sweet words. They are paid to provide pleasure and comfort to the guests. Of course they dress up to look handsome. Usually guests choose hosts who are handsome-faced and dress attractively.

Kei was indeed handsome beyond measure, with his skin as white as snow. His nose makes me think he's Western. But the color of his eyeballs was black like that of Asian people in general. His body was thin to show the protrusion of his ribs.

However, for the size of the Yakuza, Kei is not creepy. Ever since I first met him in front of the club host, I had not caught the Yakuza aura from him. Therefore, I was surprised when he said that he was a Yakuza. And now, the tattoo on his back was a tangible proof of his words. The blue dragon was truly beautiful.

Kei took a breath when I touched the wound on his stomach.

Inside the medicine box were various kinds of wound medicine. More than my expectations. Quickly, I found a bruising medicine tube. And I crouched down to apply the medicine.

"Why are you quiet?" ask Kei.

"Eh?" I glanced up. "I'm treating you" I said.

"Say something. Jokes or embarrassing things."

I chuckle. "Why indeed?"

"That's one piece," Kei lowered his head in embarrassment. "Ah... Rained out. You hear?"

It took me a few seconds to realize the sound of raindrops outside. Not long after, there was a thunderous sound. "Better?" my many.

Kei nodded.

"alright. Now your face" I stood up after I finished applying the medicine to his stomach. And I turned to Kei's face. I noticed a scratch on the right eye bone near the eyebrow and the corner of his left lip. Both bleeding.

"I'm not good looking anymore, am I?" ask Kei suddenly.

My laughter exploded in front of him.

"How could you laugh at me" Kei protested with a frown. "I am a host. I have to take good care of my only asset."

"You can't be a host anymore if your wounds are exposed?"

"I can hide it with makeup," Kei smiled.

Blood flowed again from Kei's nostrils. I hurried to get a cotton swab to stuff it. "Hold it like this" I said. While Kei was holding the cotton, I cleaned the wounds on the other part of the face. The man grimaced as I applied an antiseptic liquid on his wound. "The wound on your face will heal in 2 days," I acted like a dermatologist.

Kei chuckles. "Thank you, doctor" he said. I was cleaning up the medicine box when he asked, "You've had a fight, haven't you?"

"Early," I answered.

"You must be better than me."

"Eh? My opponents are just my schoolmates. All three girls."

After taking a 5-second pause, Kei said, "Maybe I won't win against women either." The man looked down again.

I looked at him, confused as to what to respond with. The rain is getting heavier. His voice made me feel the cold tonight. Especially now the atmosphere is a bit strange. Does Kei want to continue this conversation? He wanted to tell a story, but I couldn't guess. Usually Kei would say that line while laughing embarrasses himself. This time he looked serious. I don't know why he's so tense.

"I've never told it to anyone other than Tora-kun. And now I'm gonna tell you. The secret of Akira Fujiwara's past," Kei said proudly.

"Your real name?"

This story will be long. I decided to shift the chair and sit across from Kei.

"I graduated from elementary school with mediocre grades. Dad and Mom don't want to come to the graduation ceremony because it will worsen their image. High school didn't make me any better. School was like a nightmare to me. I was often beaten up by people who were supposed to be my classmates."

"You're not retaliating?" many finally.

"No."

"While?"

"I've reported it to my homeroom teacher, but he seems to be defending smart kids more than I'm nothing."

I'm getting curious. "Then, how did you survive?"

Kei smiled knot. The man approached me. "I killed him" he said, staring into both of my wide eyes. Kei's eyes show the gloom of his past.

My heart is beating fast. Just this time I was scared of Kei until my whole body was goosebumps. It's not because of the cold, but it's Kei's aura that makes me uneasy.

The face of Kei, who was bowing, was right in front of my face. He showed me his neat teeth. And his laughter exploded. "You don't have to be afraid of that, Tomomi-chan!" he yelled while pointing at my nose.

I snorted in annoyance. "So that's a lie?"

"No. Thas right. I killed one of those kids so bad." It was easy for Kei to speak so, as if there was no burden to bear by taking the lives of others. "And since then, I've never come to school again. Then, I met Kumicho."

"You're not arrested?" my many.

"Dad paid an expensive lawyer to get me out of jail, but he didn't want to see me anymore. I accepted the deal. Incidentally, I was indeed forbidden to get in touch with my family again after joining Hanazawa-gumi."

"Are you sorry?" I shouldn't have asked because it seems Kei doesn't want to talk about it.

"Every day until this second," Kei replied.

Living with regrets is not fun at all. Everyone has something regrettable. I understand what it's like to be burdened by something that will always haunt me. Kei lives in the gloom of the past.

"It seems that Kumicho doesn't want me to constantly dissolve in my regrets, so he put me in the host club. Working as a host does not require me to kill. Every night I just accompany lonely women who always tell me about their household or love problems."

"Is that what's been saying love to you?" aska I want to know.

"Of course a lot" Kei raised his eyebrows confidently.

"Is the host forbidden to fall in love with his guest?"

"Yes. Love will only make you unfair. Fortunately, I am not interested in such matters. For me, the important thing is that my guests are happy, coming home with a big smile, coming back and renting me out."

I'm speechless. For people who don't believe in love, I think Kei fits in as a host. I cannot force my thoughts on love. I believe in love. I loved Tora until I was willing to stand next to her to face death. I don't care about anything that's gonna happen. All I know is that Tora loves me with the same power. "Have you ever felt lonely?" My question was not to challenge Kei, but to just be curious.

"Sometimes. But the happy feeling of the guests walking out of the club was a huge relief. It indicates that I have succeeded in making others happy. If other people are happy, then I feel it too."

Marveled. That's how I feel about Kei now. No wonder he was named the best host at the club. He dedicated himself to his work. Being a host is not easy. Not only about looks, self-care and speech style are also very important to attract guests. Kei learned it all from experience. The man had joined Hanazawa-gumi earlier than Tora. Despite not killing, he belonged to a senior clan member. "Kei-san, how old are you?" my many.

Kei chuckles. "You definitely wouldn't believe it if I told you that I was the same age as Tora-kun," she said cheerfully.

"So you three are the rest of the time?"

"With Makoto? Yep. But Makoto had already joined Hanazawa-gumi before me. He was like he was born to be a Yakuza," Kei laughed.

"Do you know why you became a Yakuza?" my many. I think this is my chance to extract some information about Makoto. Who knows, it will be useful.

"I'm not so close to him. We rarely chat because I'm always at the club, and he's always at the office. But, I heard from Tora-kun, Makoto is looking for someone. He used the Yakuza network to quickly find the man. However, the person he seeks is like lost to the earth. No one knows where he is."

"Eh? Could it..." Makoto knows about Tora's ex-husband Cat who is still alive. Is it possible that Makoto wants to help her best friend like I help Misaki? The woman wants to find Tora Cats ex-husband. His position was quite high in Hanazawa-gumi, so he could easily instruct his subordinates to gather information about the person he was looking for. "Makoto-neesan is a good man" I said.

Kei laughing. "Why do you think Makoto is evil?"

I stammered. Where might I admit my jealousy towards Makoto because he is close to Tora. That reason would not be enough to judge Makoto as a bad person. But, come to think of it, why is it so hard to find a cheating man? Makoto joined Hanazawa-gumi earlier than Kei. That meant he had been searching for over 10 years. As far as I know the Hanazawa-gumi belongs to a large clan, so it is definitely easy to find people. Moreover, the person being sought was an ordinary person. Does this mean the person he is looking for is not Tora Kucing's ex-husband?
