MY STEPBROTHER'S REPLACEMENT

MY STEPBROTHER'S REPLACEMENT
Chapter #36

Henrietta climbed the stairs and entered her room, where she could see Henry standing on the balcony.

"You're home yet?" ask Henrietta.

"Where have you been?" ask Henry in a flat voice and without looking at Henrietta.

"I just met Lucy" replied Henrietta.

Henry looked down at his slanted smile.

He turned around and showed an omelet and full of anger at Henrietta.

"You dare lie to me now?" henry's lips.

Henry clucked and approached Henrietta, Henry's hand clutching Henrietta's jaw.

"W-what are you doing? i-this is very sick**.." - Henrietta.

He tried to let go of Henry's hand that gripped him, but was unsuccessful because Henry gripped him strong enough.

"You lied to me, Rietta," said Henry.

"I-I'm not lying" Henrietta said stammering.

"I did meet Lucy," he continued with teary eyes.

Henry smiled and looked at Henrietta.

"Meeting Lucy or meeting her husband" Henry snapped.

Henrietta's face looked puzzled at her husband, she did not understand why Henry was angry at her, what a mistake she had made.

Henry pulled out the cell phone in his pants pocket and showed the photos sent to him.

"I didn't expect you to be this disgusting, " Henry said.

"You have a relationship with the husband of your own best friend" Henry wrathfully.

Henrietta now understood why Henry was so angry with her, he kept shaking his head, denying with all the accusations Henry had made for him.

"You believe the photos more than I believe your own wife" said Henrietta, who tried to hold back her tears from coming out.

"Wife? you're just a surrogate wife to me Rietta, have you forgotten ... HUH!" henry said with a face that belittled Henrietta.

Instantly the tears she had endured escaped just hearing the words uttered by her husband.

Henry seems to bring Henrietta to the fact that he is only a replacement for Julia.

Everything he had feared would become real, he was too lulled by Henry's treatment of him changing.

He means nothing in Henry's life, he's just a substitute and as long as it stays that way.

"I think you're a different woman, but it turns out you're worse, you're playing with your own best friend's husband behind her," Henry said in a fit of rage.

Henry removed his grip from Henrietta's hand and stared at her sharply.

"It's up to you to say what about me, which obviously I never did anything you accused me of," Henrietta said, trying to look her husband in the eye.

"You're too consumed by a photograph that you don't even see in person" he continued.

The more Henrietta said, the more tears rolled down her cheeks, the more she held him back.

"Consider your mistakes" said Henry.

As if blinded by the jealousy that had taken hold of him, he left Henrietta alone in the room and closed the door violently.

Henrietta crumbled, she sat herself on that cold floor, she hugged her own knees and drowned her head between her knees and her hands.

The sound of Henrietta's voiceless cry added to her chest tightness.

Meanwhile Henry drove his car very quickly, several times he hit the steering wheel to channel his anger and regret.

He stopped his car in front of his company and went inside.

"SIALAN .." cried Henry after entering his study.

After a day of crying made Henrietta sleepy and asleep, she saw an empty place beside her.

"Maybe he's not coming home" murmured Henrietta.

Henrietta got up from her sleep and leaned her back on the head of the bed, her eyes focused forward and her hands stretched out to touch her stomach.

"I'm sorry mommy .." said Henrietta, and again her tears escaped in both of her beautiful eyes.

Henrietta's phone rang she saw a number she didn't know and picked it up.

"Hello" said Henrietta.

"Finally you picked up my call" a voice that Henrietta knew from a phone call.

"Listen to me carefully, Julia is conscious ... Your job is done and you are not needed here anymore, go as far away from us as possible, never show your face again in front of my family let alone Henry," explained the woman who turned out to be Dorothy.

"And one more thing, you want to know something? now Henry is here," he said by phone.

Henrietta touched her stomach tightly and grabbed the clothes she was wearing.

As long as Dorothy spoke Henrietta did not let out her voice at all, she only heard every babble that the woman made.

"You take it easy, I guarantee you won't see me again" those were the words Henrietta spoke just before Dorothy ended her call.

Henrietta got off the bed and walked towards the balcony, she opened the door and stood there, leaving her body buffeted by the cold air.

Again Henrietta's phone sounded from an unnamed number.

"Go home" said someone on the phone and immediately turned off the call.

Henrietta's gaze focused forward after receiving the call.

Not long after that, the number she called sent Henrietta a message.

After reading the message, Henrietta returned to her room.

He walked over to the walk in closet and picked up the suitcase he had brought when he first came here.

Even some of her clothes were still in there, she also took the clothes she had brought from her home when she and Henry went to Switzerland.

After finishing with her bag Henrietta began to change her clothes.

At exactly 12 p.m., the number that contacted him sent him a message.

Henrietta came out of the walk in closet, she took off her wedding ring and put it on Henry's bedside nightstand.

Before coming out of Henrietta's room he took the time to see the room he had occupied for almost seven months, a glimpse of their romance flashed through Henrietta's mind, as well as Henry's recent gentle treatment of her.

Henrietta closed the door of the room and walked down the stairs, she looked around the quiet, dark atmosphere of the mansion.

While carrying her suitcase she walked towards the main door that was not in the key, Henrietta walked away from the mansion with a feeling that could not be explained.

Henrietta does not need to sneak out of there, because it is now in a change of guard and there is a difference of 5 minutes.

Henrietta was finally able to get out of the mansion, she saw a black car that stopped under a tree not far from where it stood.

Henrietta walked up to the car, knocked on the windshield and immediately came out a man from inside.

"Miss .." greet the man while bowing a little.

Henrietta pulled out her phone and erased everything inside, she also removed her card and threw it away.

"Come on," said Henrietta, and got into the car after the door was opened by the man.

The man opened the trunk of the car and put Henrietta's suitcase.

"Run now" the man told the driver beside him.

The car drove at high speed leaving the mansion he had been living in for seven months.

The mansion bears witness to how Henrietta's love grew for her husband.

"Goodbye Henry," murmured Henrietta softly.
