Chapter #24

"Luke!" call James to the son.

"Yes dad ..."

James turned around and looked at his son with very serious eyes.

Luke understood that his father would want to discuss serious matters with him.

"Find out why Rietta got married to Henry" James said.

Henrietta and Henry had returned from Robinson's residence about 30 minutes ago, and James was in his son's study.

Luke also had the same thoughts as his father to investigate the reason Henrietta could end up married to Walter's heir.

"Maybe it has something to do with him! Julia, Marco Sergei's stepdaughter and Henry Walter's fiancee fell into a coma a month ago, you remember Rietta's dad coming to America a month ago to meet his best friend, too," guess Luke.

"Rietta is Leona's precious treasure, I will guard it without any injuries" James said.

Luke understands the father's feelings, he's not mad at the father who loves Henrietta's mother so much.

Because the father separated from his mother long before the arrival of Henrietta's mother, Luke also never met his mother after both parents divorced.

His mother left him with a man richer than his father. In the past, when his parents divorced his father was not as rich and successful.

Luke had never been with his own mother since childhood, but he was closer to his father.

While in the car a couple just fell silent enjoying the trip, no talk came out of their mouths both.

"Would you like to take a walk?" asked Henry who finally opened the conversation.

"No" replied Henrietta.

Henrietta looks lazy and very sleepy, she just wants to go home and rest.

Cleaning the house all day and going to the restaurant made him tired.

"We just go home, I feel really tired today" Henrietta said.

Henrietta even took off her heels when she got in the car.

"Before we go home can we stop by the minimarket for a while? There's something I want to buy" Henrietta said.

Henry nodded his head.

And not far in front of them there is a minimarket that is still open.

"Rietta put on your heels" Henry scolded.

Henrietta did not pry Henry's words and just walked in.

"Did she think she was a child?" murmured Henry and caught up with Henrietta inside.

Henrietta went down the shelves selling a wide variety of women's needs, and picked up some pads.

When Henrietta's done walking to the cashier and finding Henry there.

"Pay" said Henrietta.

Henry looked at Henrietta.

"I don't have a wallet" Henrietta said.

And finally Henry had to pay for Henrietta's groceries.

"Thank you" Henrietta told the employee who gave her the bag.

"Thanks," whispered Henrietta to Henry and preceded the man out of the minimarket.

Henrietta gets in the car and waits for Henry inside.

Henrietta looked out the window, and there Henry saw Henry who had come out of the minimarket and was getting a call.

Henrietta fiddled with her phone and was seen texting someone.

Henry felt finished and walked towards the car, Henrietta immediately deleted the messages he sent earlier.

"Is there anything you want to buy again?" ask Henry who's been sitting in the steering wheel.

"Nothing! Let's go home," Henrietta said.

Henry runs his car at a moderate speed.

Until not how long they finally arrived at the yard of a simple house owned by Henrietta.

Henrietta came out first and again without wearing footwear.

"Rietta!" reprimand Henry.

"I'm lazy to wear heels, later I'll wash my feet," continued Henrietta and entered just like that while carrying a bag of groceries and Heels.

Henry can only shake his head to see the behavior of Henrietta like this, because while in America Henrietta always keep his ethics like a noble girl.

Henry chuckled and muttered little. "What noble? He's even a teenager now,"

Henrietta walked into her room and picked up the clothes in her closet.

He took the clothes to the next room, his mother's room.

When out of the room Henrietta passed Henry who walked towards the kitchen.

"Whose pudding is this?" henry asked Henrietta in a slightly loud voice.

"From Mey's grandmother, I forgot to say it, eat it if you want" Henrietta said.

Then she walked into the room and opened the bathroom door, opened the dress and washed her face, legs, and hands.

He also wears his nightgown there and only comes out when it feels finished.

When he came out of his mother's room, Henrietta saw Henry sitting in the living room with a lighted tv.

Henry seems to be focusing on the film as well as the pudding.

"You've already spent half of it?" said Henrietta who saw the pudding was only half a piece.

"Mm .." muttered Henry as he chewed on the pudding still in his mouth.

"Sit's for me" Henrietta grumbled.

"You said you were sleepy, so just sleep there," Henry kicked out.

Instead of going Henrietta instead sat down beside Henry and snatched the pudding that was in front of Henry.

He immediately put the pudding into his mouth with one big mouthful until his cheeks bloated.

"You're like a child" Henry sneered as he rubbed the remaining pudding against Henrietta's lips.
