Chapter #15

"You're back?" elijah asked who was in the family room and saw the arrival of his wife and daughter-in-law.

"Yes .." Emma replied.

Emma approached Elijah who was sitting on the sofa and kissed his lips.

"I'll go to the room first" Emma said.

Meanwhile Henrietta had gone to her room leaving her husband and wife.

Henrietta went into his room and Henry, he did not see Henry there, when he entered the mansion he only saw his father-in-law and did not see Henry's whereabouts.

"Maybe he hasn't come home yet" murmured Henrietta.

Henrietta put her bag open and took a pair of pink baby socks given by her mother-in-law and put them in a drawer next to her bed and looked at her for a while.

Henrietta walked towards the bathroom, because all day she had been outside for too long and made her skin sticky.

It didn't take long for Henrietta to come out of the bathroom with a bathrobe attached to her body and a towel over her head.

Henrietta walked up to the walk-in closet and began to wear her clothes there, after she finished returning to her droughts and removing the towel that covered her wet hair.

Before coming out of the room Henrietta dries her short hair first.

While she was drying her hair Henrietta's phone rang and it was a call from Lucy, her best friend.

"Yes, Lucy ... What's up?" henrietta asked after raising the call.

"Tomorrow I'm free, stop by the hospital, we'll have lunch together" Lucy replied on the phone.

"Why not go with Matthew?" ask Henrietta.

"He's going to Spain" Lucy replied.

"Come by lunchtime, we haven't talked in a long time, and your work here is just sleeping, eating, reading books, at most just that" Lucy guessed.

Henrietta chuckled at the exact words of her best friend.

"Yes ... And it looks like I'm going to get fat from eating sleep, eating sleep" Henrietta said.

"Yes, so come here so you can have a job" Lucy said.

"All right, I'll be there" said Henrietta.

For a long time they chatted, leaving Henrietta unaware that Henry had entered the room and walked into the bathroom.

Henrietta only realized when someone closed the bathroom door and it was a success to surprise him.

"WHO?" shouts Henrietta makes sure.

"I .." said Henry from the bathroom.

Henrietta breathed a sigh of relief because the one who entered her room was Henry, she thought the one who had just entered was someone else.

"I hung up the phone, Henry's back" Henrietta said.

"All right," Lucy replied.

Henrietta ends her phone call with Lucy, and walks out of the room.

From the middle of the stairs Henrietta could see the harmony of the relationship between her mother and father-in-law.

Everyone can see how much he loves his wife.

Henrietta thinks that if her father had been like that to her mother before, maybe now Henrietta has a harmonious and loving family.

Henrietta did not deny that all this time she wanted her father to accept her and her mother and be able to love them both. But alas, it will only always be wishful thinking for Henrietta.

In fact, the father even really loves his stepson, but they are not blood but his father cares so much about Julia, whether because Julia was born from the woman his father loved.

From a distance Henrietta could hear the conversation between her mother and father-in-law.

"Do you think Rietta is Ruth's son?" ask Emma to her husband.

"What did you say, baby? Wherever possible, if Ruth was married and had children she would have told us" Elijah replied.

"How does he want to tell us, if he just disappeared without a trace, you've even searched everywhere and found nothing" said Emma.

"I just feel like they're so similar, you don't realize Rietta's like a Ruth duplicate, but when I asked her what her mother's name was I heard it wasn't Ruth's but someone else's,"

Elijah clasped the wife's body from the side and leaned his head against the chest of his field, he rubbed the wife's arm to provide calm.

"Maybe you're just missing him" murmured Elijah and peeked at the head of his wife.

"I'll find out about Rietta if it makes you feel calmer" Elijah said.

Henrietta decided to calm her mind in the back garden, the heart intent she wanted to approach her mother-in-law but she paused.

Henrietta walked toward the swing under the big tree, Henrietta's favorite spot during her stay at Henry's mansion.

He seemed to focus on looking towards the front which contained a large expanse of green grass.

"I miss you mom .." - Henrietta.

Her tears started to drip out a little bit

Henrietta had been there for a long time, until unknowingly it was getting dark.

"IT'S DARK, LET'S GO IN ... DINNER SOON" cried the woman again.

Henrietta got up from her seat and ran towards the middle-aged woman who was waving her hand.

After arriving in front of the woman Henrietta just hugged the woman.

"I love you mom .." - Henrietta.

The woman smiled and returned Henrietta's embrace.

"Mommy loves you too" replied Henrietta's mother-in-law.

"Thank you for being such a good mother-in-law to me, thank you for not distinguishing between me and Henry, thank you for treating me so well and loving me," said Henrietta tightened her arms to her mother-in-law.

"You're my daughter, obviously I love you," Emma replied and rubbed Henrietta's back.

Emma knows if Henrietta isn't okay, maybe she misses her mother and makes her a little emotional.

"Come in ... You've been outside for too long" Emma said.

Emma took Henrietta inside and brought her to the dining room.

"I'll wash my hands and face first mom" Henrietta said.

Henrietta walked to the toilet near the dining room.

"What's wrong with her mom?" ask Henry who was there.

"Maybe he's missing his mother" Emma replied.

Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Henrietta looked at her face, her eyes reddened from crying.

He washed his face several times, so that the invisible marks he cried earlier.

After feeling quite calm Henrietta came out of the toilet and approached the four people.

He sits himself next to Henry and Emma who are in front of Henry.

"Eat a lot" said Emma, putting some food on Henrietta's dinner plate.

"Thank you mom" Henrietta smiled.Only at her mother-in-law.

"Beloved one," Emma replied.

"You also have to eat a lot of Henry" Emma said.

"Thank you mom" Henry said.

The atmosphere of this dinner felt more different for Henrietta, the warmth in the family was really felt by her.
