MY STEPBROTHER'S REPLACEMENT

MY STEPBROTHER'S REPLACEMENT
Chapter #16

Henrietta gets in the car and sits in the steering wheel, driving herself to the hospital where Lucy works.

He drove his car at a moderate speed, because he was not in a hurry.

Henrietta's gaze focused forward while occasionally humming to the rhythm of the song he was playing in the car.

15 Minutes later Henrietta arrived at the hospital where Funny worked, and it coincided with lunchtime.

After parking her car Henrietta got inside and walked up to the elevator that would take her to the child's floor, the floor where Lucy worked.

TING ...

Henrietta got into the elevator and pushed the number three.

While waiting for the elevator to stop on the floor she was on, Henrietta took the time to reply to a message from her mother-in-law accompanying her husband to go fishing.

Emma even sent me some photos where her husband was fishing and only got two fish.

Henrietta chuckled at the message from her mother-in-law.

"Mommy must be upset right now" exclaimed Henrietta.

TING ...

The elevator doors opened and Henrietta walked out of the elevator into Lucy's study.

Henrietta will occasionally cross paths with parents and their children.

When it was close to Lucy's room, it turned out there were still two mothers and two children waiting in line.

Henrietta decided to wait for a while and sat him down near a mother and her child.

"You want to check who Miss is?" ask the woman, but she doesn't see Henrietta carrying her child.

"G ... No, I came here to meet my friend" Henrietta replied kindly.

Henrietta saw a girl who was about four or five years old.

"He's your son?" ask Henrietta.

"Yes" answered the woman.

"She's so sweet" Henrietta said, stroking the child's chubby cheeks.

When Henrietta was about to ask again it turned out that the mother had been called by a nurse.

"I live first lady" said the woman and left Henrietta alone.

Ten minutes of Henrietta waiting, and finally no other patients.

Lucy looks out of her room while removing the mask that covers her mouth and nose.

Lucy saw Henrietta waving at her.

"You from earlier?" ask Lucy.

"Not really, maybe about thirteen minutes" Henrietta replied.

Lucy looked sneered and Henrietta chuckled slightly.

"Come ... We eat at the hospital cafeteria, I'm so hungry" Lucy said.

They walked along to the elevator while accompanied by small talk.

TING ...

The elevator doors opened and they walked towards the Cafeteria which was on the first floor.

In the middle of the journey Henrietta briefly seen Henry.

"It looks like I saw Henry" said Henrietta softly and can still be heard by Lucy.

"Maybe he wants to see Julia" Lucy said.

"Mm, maybe," said Henrietta.

"We'll just sit there," point Lucy at a seat that's a little corner and not too seen by people.

Henrietta nodded and walked after Lucy.

"How's your relationship with Henry?" lucy asked as they sat down and ate the food.

"As usual," Henrietta replied as she pressed her shoulder.

"He's a very stiff guy, don't you get tired of looking at his face?" asked Lucy with her curious face.

"Obviously, after all we rarely meet, we only meet when he is not working, or at breakfast, if he comes home I have slept, lately he often comes home at night. But yesterday he came back early because there was his mother and father in the mansion" Henrietta said at length.

Henrietta drank the apple juice she ordered.

"Are you going to keep going like this?" ask Lucy.

Henrietta looked confusedly at Lucy. "What-like?"

"Like this with Henry, married but like not married, you tied the marriage to him and did your duty as a wife, yes ... Although it has not been to the stage of doing that," said Lucy a little ambiguous.

"Living in a marriage, but you don't get any status, your status is only in the house, but outside of you it's like you don't have a husband, we don't know Julia will realize when, when, whether it's another year or two, are you sure it's like you're going to continue with Henry? You're going to have a hard time getting a girlfriend because you're still Henry's wife" Lucy said.

"According to my agreement with my father, I will go away from Henry until Julia realizes, whether at any time" Henrietta replied.

"What if you start loving Henry? It doesn't take long to love or like a guy like Henry, what else do you live in the house" Lucy said.

"I don't know, I just want to be free of my father, I haven't thought about that, I'll accept anything" Henrietta said.

Henrietta does not deny if Henry's charm is extraordinary, let alone they are in one house even one room the same.

"If you ever need my help, call me or Matthew" Lucy said, nodding to Henrietta.

Lucy knows that behind Henrietta's gentle demeanor she is fortifying herself desperately to dislike Henry, Henrietta looks strong on the outside and never shows her sadness in front of others because she does not want to be looked at weakly by people who do not like her.

"I'm not going to ask you any more questions about Henry" Lucy said.

Henrietta smiled and looked at Lucy. " Thank you,"

The two of them finished the meal leisurely, after spending everything they did not go straight away and were still there.

From a distance Lucy sees the arrival of Dorothy who walks into the area of Cafeteria.

"Don't look back" Lucy said.

"Why?" henrietta asked confusedly.

"There's your stepmother here" Lucy said.

"Ah~" exclaimed Henrietta understood.

"Who is he?" ask Henrietta.

"Self," Lucy replied.

"I just remembered something" Lucy exclaimed suddenly.

"What?"

"Yesterday night when I just got home from the hospital I saw your father with a young woman, I saw them in the same apartment lobby as me" Lucy said.

"It's not strange anymore, he does love Dorothy, but he can't live with just one woman" Henrietta said with a casual facial expression, it was as if it was already common in front of him.

"Crazy ... Your dad's really crazy, is he a maniac?" Lucy can't stop thinking about the head of her best friend's father.

"Have not discussed it again" said Henrietta.

"Has he gone?" ask Henrietta.

"Yes ... He's gone" Lucy replied.

"I wonder how she would react if her husband used to play the woman behind her" Lucy said with curiosity.

"Maybe he already knows" Henrietta guessed.
