I woke up at half 5 a.m. As soon as I woke up I was shocked to realize that I had been sleeping on the floor and not on the bed. Then, the memories of last night flooded my head.
Last night, before crying like crazy me and Deon had a chance to kiss. Deon's attitude last night was the same as the night of the 'accident', aggressive and a little possessive? I don't know, it's just a momentary memory.
Then, suddenly Deon became angry at me. Jerking at me in an angry tone was also rude, and I got carried away. Just go into the room to cry,
Huh...
How dramatic. Rain, you're a bitch.
Smiling wryly, I got up from the floor and picked up a new outfit from the closet. While picking up my attire was suddenly pulled by Deon's black suit. This suit is the suit I wore and so Deon wanted to throw it away. But I couldn't throw it away so I hid it in the closet, like this.
"It's a pity that I can't see you saying my name in front of Papa when I'm going to justify me. At that time you must have looked very charming, Deon." My whisper regrets it.
Blame my family's convoluted traditions or maybe it was because of an agreement between Deon and my own family who didn't want to waste too much time.
"Sigh, stop. I can't ruin my new day with all these shitty thoughts." I said trying to get rid of all these convoluted thoughts.
I took a deep breath, closed the closet and took my step into the bathroom.
1 Hour later I was done cleaning myself, changing clothes, and cleaning my room. As a wife I now have a much greater obligation than before marriage so I must not be negligent and act recklessly.
"At first, Aunt Siti. Where, Deon?" My greeting to Aunt Siti who just came out of the kitchen with a steaming plate.
The smell of the food is delicious. This is my first breakfast at Deon's house, ahem.I might from now on call it my house too.
"Morning, non Rain. Mr. Deon still hasn't come out of his room." Aunt Siti glanced at the wall clock that was constantly ticking lightly, "Maybe in a moment Mr. Deon will be out soon, non Rain."
Right after Aunt Siti said it, Deon's room door suddenly opened. He came out in neat and classy office clothes, the aura on his body looked even more different from this outfit.
I was astonished, both of my hands spontaneously clenching swallowing a bitter taste in my mouth. He's so handsome today in that outfit but why did Deon go to the office today?
Shouldn't he be taking a wedding leave?
Drowning in daydreams, I did not realize that Deon's face immediately became sour when he saw all the food presented on the table. Her frown seemed distracted before turning to look at me, "You let Aunt Siti cook?"
Realizing, I hurriedly said, "Sorry, I can't cook. But-"
Wife, yeah. Everything Deon mentioned earlier is my duty as a wife. Stupidly I still rely on Auntie Siti.
"I'm sorry, today I was careless and forgot my obligation. But after this I promise I won't be careless anymore and finish all the chores." It's purely my fault.
Deon strangely smiled, but why do I feel if his smile looks insincere. Or maybe I could tell if that smile meant ridicule?
"Don't keep apologizing because you can't change anything. Just do it with your actions so I can see your sincerity in apologizing."
"I promise I won't lie down again." My promise means it.
He now did not smile anymore, his eyeballs moved short as if he had just thought of something.
"Rain, this house isn't your parents' second home. Maybe there you are treated like a respected queen then sorry, here you are just a wife, nothing more. So please pay attention to your attitude in the future before doing anything."
That is to say clearly, I must perform all my duties as a good wife, must not perform any acts outside of my duties as a wife without Deon's consent.
Honestly, I'm happy. Although Deon said it with a flat face but all his words meant a confession that I was a wife, his wife.
So how could I refuse to do all his orders?
"I know, I won't be careless anymore in the future." I repeat the same promise.
He turned his face away from me without saying a word. I noticed that the formal tie around her collar had been neatly tied, in other words she didn't need my help tying the tie knot.
The briefcase is also mounted in the right hand, it looks quite heavy because there may be a lot of documents in it.
"Bi Siti,"
"Yes, Sir?" Aunt Siti greeted Deon with a gentle maternal smile on her old face.
The warm feeling that Bibi Siti brought was very soothing and looked quite earthy so her people would not hesitate to like her, myself included.
I was also amazed by Aunt Siti because she did not act awkward after being scolded by Deon last night. I should have followed in Aunt Siti's footsteps, right?
"Supervise him at home."
