The day that Dara will actually marry Nicholas is drawing near. The girl was feeling unusually nervous. Nicholas did not mess with his intentions. It seemed that her determination to marry him was already very mature.
Many times Dara asked Nicholas for his sincerity, and the answer was always the same. Many things disturbed the girl's mind. Nicholas' family, his college at Edinburgh University and also his mental readiness to spend the rest of his life with Nicholas. All of this is stressful for Dara. Unpleasant to eat, not soundly to sleep, and often daydreaming.
"Because, you've been looking like a zombie lately" complained Gwen. Because every time he talked to his best friend, as if Dara could only respond to him. However, the girl's gaze tended to be blank.
"I ... mmm .. I'm confused." Dara is putting on her long hair in frustration.
"Why?"
"Come, Gwen. It feels like everything happened so fast. And why should Nicholas marry me? Of the many men in Edinburgh, why Nicholas Johanssen?"
Gwen chuckles. "Why indeed? Of all the women who wanted to be Nicholas' girlfriend, he chose you, Dara."
Dara took a deep breath. Of course he is not a follower of the early marriage stream. But why is he now faced with such a tremendous temptation. His mind is ready to be a wife.
"Gwen ...."
"Hmm?"
"Do you know what a wife's duties are?" ask Dara.
"Hmmm .. nothing. I don't think a wife has any duties. A woman will know by herself, what to do when she is married. So does a man. Each will have a role according to the agreement of the two."
Dara nodded. "But, Gwen. I've heard ... If a wife rejects the husband's wishes, she's sinned."
"God! Where did you hear it from, Dara?"
"Yeah .. from a source."
"I think the statement coming from the patriarchal era is still strong. It's a form of male control over women."
"Already, Dara. Just walk. After all ... getting married is not so bad. Instead, maybe everything will be easier because of all the problems you can face both, right?"
Dara stroked the ring embedded in her ring finger. Nicholas's face when proposing to her at that time flashed through his mind and made his lips unable to hold a smile. Very amusing.
"Gwen, accompany me to the boutique."
"Good, Dara! You haven't taken care of your wedding dress?" gwen asked, making Dara just grimace while scratching her head. Of course, Gwen happily accompanied Dara to a boutique in downtown Edinburgh.
Later that night, Nicholas, who had come home a little late, was surprised to not see Dara in the apartment. The young man walked back and forth in the living room restlessly. Two hours passed until the clock showed at ten, the girl had not yet appeared. His phone is also inactive.
"Where's that shitty girl?" his grunts while exhaling a rough breath.
Just as he grabbed his coat and prepared to leave to find Dara, the door of the apartment was opened by someone. Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief to see the beautiful girl he had been waiting for his presence, appearing.
"Where are you from?" asked Nicholas with a tense face. "Why are you making me worry like this, hmm?"
"Sorry, I went with Gwen to the boutique. Gwen stayed at her boyfriend's place, so I went home alone, " replied Dara with her head down.
"Butik?"
Dara grimacing. "Yes. I'm looking for a dress ...."
"Owh, okay." Nicholas finally passed his smile. Dara's hand fell and the girl pulled into his arms. "I'm so worried, Dara."
"Sorry, my phone's running out of battery."
"It's okay. What matters is that you're not missing."
Dara chuckles. He let go of Nicholas' embrace and looked at the young man's face. "Nlc ...."
"Yes?"
"May I ask you something?"
"We're really getting married, aren't we?"
Nicholas. "Of course, Dara. What kind of question is that? You think I'm messing around?"
"It's not. It's just .. ah, I don't know .. I'm confused to express my current feelings."
Nicholas had dyed Dara's hair, though after that he scrambled it back. "Your job is just to marry me in a few days. All that stuff out there, leave it to me, okay?"
"Do your family know?" ask Dara.
"Maybe." Nicholas puts his shoulders. "Who cares?" kekehnya later.
Dara commented a smile. To be honest, he was amazed by Nicholas. Although it sucks, but, everything he did was not long-winded. Everything you say will always be followed by action. He did not expect, the haphazard bad boy prince would behave this strong if he had set his heart on his choice.
"Dry," pinta Nicholas. The young man was now sitting on the sofa and leaning there. Dara is still standing. However, at Nicholas' request, he now climbed onto the sofa and leaned his head against the young man's chest.
Dara feels great comfort. A taste that has long since disappeared after the death of her grandmother-the only person to be her protector. Losing the person who became the focus of her life was certainly a huge blow to Dara. He had to adapt to his loneliness. Not only against loneliness, but also survival. Now, Nicholas restores all comfort, security, compassion and discards desolation in Dara's heart.
"Nic, I don't have a family. I mean, both of my parents are busy with their new lives. Who's gonna take me to the altar?" ask Dara lirih.
"Thomas."
"Your brother?"
"Yes, Baby." Nicholas stroked Dara's back gently. "There's no need to worry about any of that, Dara. I've prepared everything."
Dara tightened her arms at Nicholas. He closed his eyes, enjoying the warm body of the young man. Perhaps, Dara was already completely in love with Nicholas.

As she exits the school gate, Dara is shocked by Alison's figure there. Not only that, the car next to the girl standing was Braden's car. However, Dara actually did not want to take a headache. He approached Alison and greeted the girl kindly. He had no problem with his former boss.
"How are you, Dara?" alison asked with a friendly smile.
"Dee, Alison. Honestly, you're making me wonder why you're here?" Dara glanced at Braden's car next to the girl.
"I met you on purpose. I want to let you know that Braden is sick and now he's in the hospital."
"illness?" Dara frowned.
"Yes, pretty bad. There's a problem with the blood feather."
"I'm sorry to hear that, Alison."
"Breth, Braden would love to see you."
Dara raised her eyebrows. "You came here just to preach that?"
"I came here to get you to the hospital."
"Mm.m ...." Nicholas said he was forbidden to have any contact with Braden. However, the young man was sick and wanted to meet him. It's a humanitarian issue. I hope Nicholas can understand.
Dara picks up the phone and tries to contact Nicholas. However, there was no response from the young man.
"In which hospital was Braden treated?" dara asked when she was in the car with Alison.
"Liberton." Alison drove the car out of the campus.
Dara immediately informs Nicholas through a message that he will go to the hospital to visit Braden. He knew Nicholas would be angry. But, he would think later how to deal with the anger of the young man.
