Shackles of Lies
Half an hour later they saw a dark green tent standing there. There are about ten seniors. When we got to Andre himself who welcomed them. He smiled friendly.
“How is the trip?” ask Andre.
“Lumayan tired, pegel-pegel, nyebelin, just so.” said Jeny complained.
Andre just smiled cynically hearing Jeny's complaint. He approached and observed Krishna's team.
“Please rest five minutes. Later each of us will have someone interview you.” said Andre.
Krisna's team sat under a mahogany not far from it. Suddenly they saw from the east there was Rudi's squad. Krishna smiled. He felt proud because he had arrived first.
Rudi only saw Krishna cynically and for a moment saw the condition of Jeny. Jeny replied with a smile. Erik watched the incident closely. Rudi and his friends were also welcomed by Andre.
Five minutes later Rudi and his friends walked quickly like a hurry. Seeing that, Krishna was astonished. Krishna got up from his seat. He approached Andre.
“Why did they go?” ask Chris suddenly.
“Should I explain it to you? Surely there is a difference between your squad and Rudi.” Andre said. Krishna is confused.
“I still don't know why they left.” says Krisna honestly.
“As a prospective leader you should be more thorough. Maybe it's a trivial matter. But do you not feel. Then how can you determine which place you will go first?” ask Andre wonder.
Chris knew what Andre meant. He recalled the appearance of Rudi's squad. They had not yet put a green handkerchief around his neck. It can be concluded that they are looking for the house.
“So they're looking for that house now?” ask Krishna.
“Iya.” replied Andre briefly.
Now Krisna knows that Friska's analysis is paying off. He regretted thinking Friska was a freak. Krisna came back with a smile.
“What's up brother?” aldi said curiously.
“Every participant must arrive at the house before entering the cave.” said Krisna.
“Means we are lucky dong.” says Jeny.
“All because of Friska.” Erik said.
“Why did you mention her name? You want us all to thank him?” asked Jeny while glaring.
“Not Jen. But it is. When we are certain that the route has this idea Friska.” said Erik insisted.
“Iya Jen's. I remember too. Friska who told us to go to the house first.” said Irwan co-defend.
“Updah-already, don't fight. Use this break time as best you can.” said Krisna later.
They sat down and ate the fruit they had picked. Shortly after, six seniors started walking towards them.
“Still Fris.” says Krisna later.
All the other members thanked Friska except for Jeny. Jeny pouted and looked away. When the senior arrived, they took each member of Krishna's squad to a different place.
“Do you do deserve to be considered as a candidate leader?” ask Andre.
“I think it's fast. But there was one thing that really bothered me on this trip. Before this trip I lied to my own heart and at this time I feel disturbed by the lie.” said Krisna honestly.
Looks like Andre doesn't want to interfere in Krishna's personal affairs. He continued on to the next question.
“Who chose this route?” ask Andre.
“One of the members of the squad.” said Krisna.
“Actually you are a fairly competent leader candidate, but why can't you get to this place early? Whether the terrain you are going through is too difficult.” questions Andre later.
“Not a terrain problem. But one of the squad members got hurt and we walked slowly. Not only that, members of my team are less compact.” said Krisna.
“Do you know why Friska could fall?” ask Andre later.
Krisna wondered why Andre would know that. Krishna was embarrassed. It turned out that his failure was known to the seniors as well.
“I've investigated it. My guess is Jeny did it. If you can know why you know?” ask Krishna. Andre smiles.
“All you guys did we could know. Every corner of this territory is under surveillance. You may not realize. But the selection we did was strict enough to judge who was worthy. We don't want to choose. When you get off that field, you're already starting to be followed.” Andre said.
“What can you conclude from the history of W. R Soepratman?” ask Andre.
“Maybe from the lessons that can be taken from history and this journey is about attitude. As a young generation who loves the homeland should appreciate its heroes. But many of them forget that. From this trip I gained a lot of knowledge about how a person who is very meritorious to this country was born from an environment like this. So effort will determine the final result.” Krisna explained.
Well, last question for you. Who do you recommend becoming a member of your group this year?” ask Andre.
Krisna paused for a moment and began to think. He has not made his choice. But he didn't have time to think for long because Andre was waiting for him. Krishna's been around long enough.
“Try asking your heart and mind. We really hope you judge it objectively. In every organization does not look at relatives, girlfriends or other relationships. Especially if you are a candidate leader. You need to be more firm with yourself. Don't let lies rule your mind and heart.” Andre spoke up.
Krisna realized Andre must have known all about his relationship with Jeny. Actually, Krishna was very sorry about that. He knows, maybe Andre is a little disappointed with him because he once differentiated his squad members.
“I chose Friska, Erik, and Irwan.” the word appeared suddenly from Krishna's mouth.
“Oh yes, you are in love? Em, that's your personal problem anyway. I will not interfere. But as your senior and as your friend. I have a message for you. Be a leader who can distinguish personal affairs and team affairs.” said Andre.
“Iya Brother. Thanks.” says Krisna is still down.
“One more time, once you lie to your own heart, you will be constantly shackled by that lie.” Andre said.
“Em,, if I may ask, how should Kak?” ask Krishna.
“First, break away from the shackles of lies you made yourself. Second, start honestly, at least with yourself.” Andre said.
Krishna still did not understand how to let go of the shackles of the lie. However, he did not want to extend the conversation. He just nodded.
“OK, please wait for another friend. Welcome to continue the journey.” Andre said later.
Krisna returned to her seat. He sat down and pondered what he had done. He looked at the sky, looking cloudy in the north. Although this month should have been the dry season but sudden weather changes like this always happen. Krishna looked around. He saw his friends being interviewed.
