55. Brownie for Leon

The sound of the dawn adhan has been echoed from the nearest mosque. Yeni opened her eyes and started to stretch her body. Yeni immediately got up and headed for the bathroom.

After finishing with the ritual bath and take water wudhu Yeni also perform dawn prayers in his room.

Yeni immediately tidied up her bed after performing the morning prayers and then she went out of the room to the kitchen to help her mother prepare breakfast because today she is off.

" What are you cooking?" ask Yeni to Bu Yosi.

" Fried rice" replied Bu Yosi.

"Dek, please get me some flour in the closet. I want to make cornstarch as well ", said Ms. Yosi to Yeni.

" Yes ma'am " replied Yeni.

Yeni also opened a cupboard containing food. Yeni also took a packet of flour. There are ingredients to make the cake. Yeni also wanted to make Leon's favorite brownie cake.

" I made Leon's favorite brownie. Later I will take you to his house and meet aunt Rita " muttered Yeni.

Then Yeni approached Bu Yosi and gave the flour to Bu Yosi.

" It's the flour" said Yeni.

" Put it there first " replied Ms. Yosi.

Yeni put it according to Bu Yosi's orders.

" Now you set the dining table. I want to make the corn parchment first" said Bu Yosi to Yeni.

" Yes ma'am " replied Yeni.

Yeni also brought cooked food and began to arrange it at the dining table. It was seen Father Yendi entering the dining room and sitting on one of the chairs.

" Where's mom deck?" ask Yendi's father to Yeni.

" Mom's still in the kitchen making corn parchment" replied Yeni.

After finishing arranging the dining table Yeni was sitting on one of the chairs. Ms. Yosi came with a plate of corn parchment.

Bu Yosi brought rice and side dishes for Dad Yendi was new to him. Yeni also brought rice and side dishes for herself.

They started breakfast quietly until the breakfast was over. Yeni helps her mother clean the dinner table and wash dirty dishes.

Once done Yeni started to make brownies. Yeni prepared all the tools and materials.

" What do you want to do on the deck?" asked Bu Yosi who suddenly appeared from behind.

" Brownis ma'am " replied Yeni.

" When did you start making brownies? You always buy ", said Ms. Yosi.

" Oh. What is your relationship with Leon Dek?Are you guys dating?" ask Ms. Yosi.

Yeni was surprised to hear a question from Bu Yosi. " No ma'am " replied Yeni.

" But I can see that you like her" said Bu Yosi smiling.

" Apaan sih bu" said Yeni with a reddened face.

Bu Yosi smiled looking at the reddened face of her daughter. His guess is correct if Yeni has already started falling in love.

" Mom to the vegetable maker first" said Bu Yosi.

" Yes ma'am " replied Yeni.

Then Bu Yosi came out of the kitchen leaving Yeni.

After the departure of Bu Yosi from the kitchen Yeni began to make brownies. Yeni put the ingredients into a container to make the dough. After the dough so Yeni put it in the baking sheet and put it in the oven.

While waiting for the brownie to mature Yeni washed all the equipment he used.

Ting.

There was the sound of an oven indicating that the brownie had matured. Yeni directly picked it up from inside the oven carefully.

" Hmm the smell is delicious. I hope Leon likes "say Yeni smiled.

After the brownie cools Yeni put it in a container. Then he went to his room to get ready to go to Leon's house.

Yeni polished her face with a little make up. He also sprayed perfume all over his body.

Yeni took her bag and walked out of the room. Not to forget, he also took the brownies he had made for Leon.

When Yeni finished wearing her shoes, Bu Yosi returned with a basket of vegetables.

" Mom I'm going first. It had brownies in the fridge" Yeni told Ms Yosi.

" Yes, be careful" said Ms. Yosi.

" Yes mom. Assalamualaikum " said Yeni kissed Bu Yosi's hand.

" Walaikumsalam" replied Ms. Yosi.

Then Yeni got on her bike and drove her towards Leon's house.
