102. Proposing

Arriving in Surabaya, the day is already approaching dusk. Leon and Yeni as well as Mama Rita and Papa Axcel go straight to Yeni's parents' house from the airport.

After about an hour, they finally arrived. Yeni went down first and went straight to her house followed by Leon and Mama Rita and Papa Axcel.

" Assalamualaikum" said Yeni.

" Walaikumsalam "sounds an answer from within.

" You're not going home to tell me " continued Yendi's father.

Yeni kisses her father's hand followed by Leon.

" Leon too? " said Father Yendi.

" Good afternoon sir. Still know us ", Papa Axcel told Yendi's father.

" Of course" replied Yendi's father smiling.

" Let's go in" said Yendi's father, inviting his guests.

They all went in and sat on the sofa in the living room.

" Yeni?" said Bu Yosi who just came out to see who came.

" Mom" said Yeni approaching her mother and hugged her.

Then they all sat in the living room.

" I'm sorry that my wife and I came here all of a sudden. But there's something important that I want to talk about about our children" Papa Axcel said.

Yendi and Bu Yosi's father looked at each other. While Yeni lowered her head and her hands were already trembling from fear.

" It's okay sir. What do you want your mom and dad to talk about ?" ask Yendi's father.

" This is it, sir. Our children are already in a relationship. My goal here is to propose to Yeni for my son Leon. I want them to get married" Papa Axcel replied.

" Yes mom I understand. But my husband and I want them to get married because we're afraid they're going to do the things we don't want to do " replied Mama Rita.

" Right said Miss Rita ma'am. Moreover, they both live far away from us. Although Yeni is with Yola but Yola has her own family, she can't keep an eye on Yeni" Yendi's father told his wife.

" How about baby? Do you love Leon Nak and want to marry him?" ask Yendi's father to Yeni.

Yeni raised her face and looked at Leon. I was very nervous at the time.

" Yes yeah. Yeni wants to marry Leon ", replied Yeni.

Papa Axcel and Mama Rita smiled. Leon also felt relieved that at least Yeni's parents had also approved of them.

" All right sir. Our Nak Leon application "said Yendi's father smiling.

" Thankfully. I want them to get married the day after tomorrow. I will prepare everything " replied Papa Axcel.

" What? The day after tomorrow?" say Leon and Yeni together.

" Are you not going too fast?" leon told Papa Axcel.

" The sooner the better" replied Papa Axcel.

" I agree" continued Yendi's father.

No sooner did azan magrib sound. Yendi's father invited Leon and his parents to pray and have dinner together.

After performing the magrib prayer, they also had dinner. They had dinner while chatting occasionally. It seems they are very familiar. Leon and Yeni were silent.

Leon and Papa Axcel and Mama Rita say goodbye after dinner. After their departure Yeni went to the bathroom to take a bath and rest. There are so many stressful events today to experience but he is also happy because he will marry the person he loves.

Meanwhile, Yendi's father contacts relatives about Yeni's marriage.
