My ex, my Fiancee's Son

My ex, my Fiancee's Son
Chapter 45. Come on, run away with me

I ... late.

My body was lethargic for a moment. It was as if my life had just been forcibly snatched away. The bones in my body became pliable.

I can't believe this. Shelina is married to Andrew, my father.

I shook my head in frustration and couldn't accept it. I soon found my strength. The power I gained from my sense of denial. I have to go see Shelina. I don't care if he's married to my father or not. He's mine, forever mine. I don't care if my love turns into an obsession. All I know is I can't live without him. I can't breathe without him by my side. I wouldn't be able to sleep well without him in my arms.

I walked up to the nun and asked about Shelina's whereabouts. The woman said Shelina was in the dressing room. Without a second thought I set foot in the room that the nun showed me.

Until I finally stood in front of a room. My eyes were fixed on the beautiful figure sitting not far from me. A beautiful angel in her beautiful white dress. His face changed my world. I slowly approached him. Shelina looked up at me. And I was hypnotized by his brown eyes. So beautiful and shiny.

Now I stood in front of him and immediately bent my knees to rest in front of him.

"Lina," I whispered quietly as if in disbelief to see her much prettier face up close. His skin is glowing white. His brown eyes glistened at me. And her red lips look tantalizing.

My hand outstretched stroking her smooth cheeks. The girl I wanted to be my wife, was now in front of me in a wedding dress and looked much prettier than my shadow.

"Lina." I whispered his name again. Afraid this pretty face would disappear in the blink of an eye. Worried that this is just my fantasy.

Those beautiful eyes glazed over at me. His body began to shake.

"Marc," whispered softly Shelina can I hear. It is like cold water watering a barren desert. Listen and cool my heart.

We looked at each other for quite a long time, as if treating the longing we experienced just by looking at each other like this.

"I love you." The words were spoken without me taking it anymore. It feels tight if I don't say it.

"lik! You lied! You don't love me!" I was surprised to see tears running down her cheeks. My forehead shriveled cluelessly, looking at the radiance of Shelina's eyes that were looking at me furiously.

"You lied. If you love me, you'll definitely be here since. If you love me, you will prevent this marriage. If you wanted me, you'd have been taking me on the run since. And if you really love me, you won't be late like this."

My heart was like being squeezed tightly. I can't believe Shelina said any of that. His eyes were filled with sadness and disappointment. Is he waiting for me? Is Shelina expecting my presence? Does he want me to come and get him to run away together?

Shelina's hands clenched and beat my shoulders together.

"Why didn't you come?! Why are you late?! Why are you here now?!"

I let Shelina vent her anger. I'm not dodging. Give him a chance to vent all his emotions. This must be heavy for him. Until finally the blow to Shelina's hand began to weaken on my shoulder.

"Why did you just come now? I've been waiting for you to come since. I'll give you one last chance. I changed my mind. I want to be with you. But why are you late?" Shelina's shrill voice slashed my heart. The water never stops flowing.

I promised myself I wouldn't let Shelina shed tears. I always made her cry.

"sorry. I'm sorry I came late Shelina." Both of my hands rubbed Shelina's cheeks. But the flow of tears seemed endless.

I shook my head and cupped his face.

"I want you Shelina. Wanted you so much that I dared to kidnap my father's wife."

Shelina's eyes grew up looking at me. It's so beautiful that it makes me smile.

"I'm sorry. Last night I got drunk and drank a lot of beer to relieve my stress. I regret it so much for making me wake up so bad. I even ran here without caring about my current situation." Shelina's eyes skimmed through my body and instantly her eyes grew bigger. Shelina's hand smothered her mouth in disbelief. I'm sure my current situation is very sad.

"Marc, your forehead is bleeding."

I was shocked and touched my forehead, a little bit of pain but I could hold it I didn't realize if my forehead was bleeding. Was my forehead hit by broken glass last night? Or did I unknowingly sleep on a bar table with broken glass?

Shelina's outstretched hand touched my forehead. Her pretty face looks worried. I smiled, enjoying his attention.

"We need to treat it."

Shelina had already started to rise from her seat. Yet I quickly clasped both of his hands on Shelina's lap. To stop him from sitting in front of me.

Right now the wound on my forehead isn't important. Shelina is much more important to me. I won't die with this wound, but I will die if Shelina leaves me again.

"Shelina, my wound can wait to be treated. But we can't wait any longer." Shelina was silent listening to me carefully.

"I love you, Shelina. Loves you so much. It doesn't matter if you're already the wife of Andrew, my father. I still love you. Please give me one more chance. Will you go with me? Go and start a new life with just the two of me? Building a small family as simple as our dreams used to be? Will you live with me forever?"

"Marc," whispered Shelina softly with round eyes in disbelief.

"You want to, right?"

I stared fixedly at Shelina's brown eyes. This is my last fight. If this time Shelina rejects me again. Then I don't know what's going to happen in my life. Maybe I'll end up in a slump or regret. Or maybe I'll go into a mental institution.

"Marc, I—" Shelina's speech came to a halt when an applause came from a man who had just walked into this room.

Shelina and I looked over. And at once my hand clasped Shelina's fingers tightly. My father walked casually toward us, still clapping his hands together. His face was smiling widely making me wary of what he was going to do.

"I can't believe you dared to say it was Marcus?" My father is now standing beside me. I slowly stood before him. I won't be daunted. It doesn't matter if I have to be a bad boy right now. I just want Shelina. Only him. I'm not getting married to any girl but Shelina.

I straightened my back against Andrew.

"Can you repeat what you said just now? You want to take my wife away?"
