My ex, my Fiancee's Son

My ex, my Fiancee's Son
Chapters 12. Rouse suspiction

"What are you doing here, Marcus?" I repeated my words because Marcus was acting indifferent to me.

"I just want to enjoy a cup of coffee here."

"You're still sick Marcus. So you can't drink coffee."

"I'm healed. Besides, a fever like that wouldn't make me a weak man."

I snorted in disbelief. Who's the guy who asked me last night to stay in his room.

My hand gently touched Marcus's forehead. Just for a second and Marcus instantly brushed my hand away.

"What are you doing?!" Marcus's voice was quite high with a sharp look towards me. I just shrugged my shoulders indifferently.

"It looks like you're cured. It's obvious because you can get angry again. But why did you come here?"

"I told you I wanted to have coffee." Marcus threw his face towards the window. I looked at him more suspiciously.

"Yes, I know. But why at my cafe? You can go somewhere else."

"What's Shelina?" Evelyn was standing next to me.

"No. It's okay." It's okay." I don't want to say Marcus is a bitch. Evelyn could go berserk and beat Marcus.

"I just want to taste a coffee made by a bitch like you. Maybe it feels like it could make me excited." I glared at Marcus's words. This guy is really looking to die.

"What! Yep! You!" I immediately held Evelyn who wanted to go berserk.

"If you just want to insult and mock me you better go, Marcus. Or you're deliberately looking for a fuss here."

"You can't throw me out. I'm a guest here. And the guest is king. Have you forgotten the principle of doing business?"

I clenched my hand tightly. I really hate to admit that. Oh my God, it's better that man be sick than healthy but so annoying like this.

I walked to the back while dragging Evelyn. The girl hardened her jaw and immediately took out her absorbent vow when she reached the kitchen.

"The arrogant and jerk guy. Aishh, how could you have fallen in love half-dead with that man in the past?"

"Because love is blind or I was crazy" I replied with a hunting breath just like Evelyn was holding back anger.

"You have to put cyanide in his coffee, Shelina."

"And made Andrew cancel our wedding and hate me, did you?"

"No, Evelyn. I should marry Andrew remember."

"Yes yes, it's up to you. But remember, if he raises his hand or tortures your physique just a little. He'll be done in my hands."

"Oh yeah? I remember, there was a girl who praised Marcus when he came."

"That's it. I don't know if that guy is Marcus the jerk." I ignored Evelyn and started concocting coffee for Marcus.

Before long I had approached Marcus' table with a tray of coffee cups. I put the coffee in front of Marcus.

"Please drink," I said with a faint voice and a dislike face. I was about to turn around when his hand held my wrist. I looked at Marcus sharply as well as let go of my hand and remained standing beside the man waiting for the intent of his actions just now.

"Sit down." Marcus's chin was pointed at the chair in front of him.

Greaty! Now he's starting to rule me.

"I'm busy and have little time to talk to you." I sat in front of Marcus. But the annoying man threw his face into the window. He doesn't care about me. Are really.

My hands clenched and tightly grasped the tray. I was about to get up when Marcus started talking.

"What time are you home?" I snorted in disbelief and looked at Marcus's face. But the man still did not want to look at me.

"As if you care," I answered tightly and did not cover up any dislike for his question.

"Don't provoke a debate with me, Shelina." Maya Sharp Marcus finally looked at me.

"Because I'm gonna pick you up."

"Men— what?!" Is my hearing in trouble right now? Marcus said what? He's a ... men-what?

"Fetch you."

My eyes bulged and looked at Marcus like an alien falling right in front of me. He's really Marcus, isn't he? He was that sick guy last night? He's Andrew's son?

My eyes were looking at Marcus's face and body. Right, he's Marcus Andrew's son then why did he say such a strange thing? As if something was wrong with his brain. My hand stretched out to touch his forehead again. A second later, Marcus avoided me.

"It looks like you're still sick." Marcus let out a long breath and rested his shoulders on the back of the chair.

"If I'm still sick how am I supposed to drive all the way here?"

"Then, why did you suddenly want to pick me up?"

"You think?"

My forehead shriveled, instead of answering the man turned the question to me. Of course I don't know the answer. He thinks I'm a clairvoyant who can figure out what his mind is. I snorted in annoyance.

"Andrew is going out of the country. And he asked me to take care of you. If it wasn't for the threat of blocking my atm card, I wouldn't have done it either."

"really? Why do I feel like there's another reason?" My eyes were pinching toward Marcus. I wish I could find something he's hiding right now. This guy in front of me is a jerk who always insults and spies on me. She hates me so much. Obviously I should suspect him if Marcus is suddenly being nice to me.

"Another reason what! Look, yeah, you're Andrew's future wife, my father. Although I don't want to admit it but your attitude and behavior will definitely affect my family's good name. And I don't want you whoring and wandering around the nightclub. So, don't go to nightclubs, get drunk and stay at hotels or look for striped men. Come home later, I'll pick you up."

I was silent gawking. Is this really Marcus? The man who had just spoken at length with me was actually Marcus who had a fight with me yesterday at that airport?

Marcus turned his gaze out the window. I straightened my shoulders and took a deep breath. I'm sure he's up to something. So I better avoid it. Besides, I don't want kiss incidents like last night to happen again. I'm not sure my immunity will charm Marcus. Especially if he starts touching my body. Can dodge me helplessly underneath it. Honestly, Marcus is the only 'best' guy in my life. The slightest touch on my body, I was already floating and wet. So, I have to avoid the possibility of that happening.

"So, now you're acting like a filial son to a parent." Marcus just kept quiet not responding to my words.

"You don't have to do that. I can go home by myself."

"I told you I didn't want you to ruin my father's good name."

"You don't have to worry about that. Because I haven't been to a nightclub in a long time."

"really?" Her alos went up next door and looked at me sharply.

"Yes." Yeah."

"It's just worth it." He said that after exhaling a sigh of relief.

"What do you mean, worth it?" Cecarku.

"I don't accept rejection, so I'll pick you up later."

"I won't tell you when I'll be home." I insist I won't go home with him later.

"I'll wait for you here."

"What do you really want Marcus to do?" I'm upset about it.

"Stop protesting. That cry of yours really disturbs my ears. Don't you want a good relationship with me. So, don't make me angry and act tough on you."

"As far as you are. I have to get back to work." I looked at Marcus again. But again the man ignored me and looked out the window.

I exhaled a long breath. I don't know what he's up to. But it seems like it's better for him to be nice than grouchy and angry like yesterday. I turned around and walked towards the kitchen, just a few steps back I heard Marcus' voice.

"It turns out you still remember my coffee dose. Half a tablespoon of sugar and two teaspoons of caramel."

I froze. I didn't realize that. I was just making coffee and I didn't realize I was making it like the coffee Marcus always liked. I still remember little things like that. I must look like a girl who failed to move-on from him.
