My ex, my Fiancee's Son

My ex, my Fiancee's Son
Chapter 21. She's Koma

In the morning I woke up with a heavy feeling of dizziness. It was as if there was a huge hammer repeatedly hitting the head. After the shower, my body was much fresher. I walked into the dining room. Marcus and Andrew were there. I walked over and sat down next to Andrew. My hand reached out to take the loaves of bread as Marcus's voice rang out.

"Amazing. You're really shameless. My dad had breakfast and you just woke up. Shouldn't you make us breakfast." My hands stopped and hung in the air. The corner of my eye glanced at Andrew who was already sitting with the newspaper and sandwhich as well as the coffee in front of him.

"Ah~ I forgot you can only satisfy a man's lust on the bed. That's your only skill." My eyes immediately looked at Marcus sharply. The venomous mouth and the mocking face of her wanted me to crush.

"Marcus." Call Andrew in a low tone to warn the man.

"Why? Aren't I right? A good wife should serve her husband. Wake up in the morning and prepare breakfast. Even you're not his wife yet, you've been acting all you want." My hands clenched tightly. Some of my veins stiffened.

"You don't have to be angry, that's the truth. Or should I clarify your cunning intentions. You want to drain my entire family, you tease my father and slowly dredge our money. How low are you, bitch!" I can't take it anymore, no matter what Andrew is sitting next to me. I immediately kicked the table.

"JUST WATCH WHAT YOU SAY, Marcus Cho!" I screamed loudly while standing up.

"I'm not that low. Although I'm poor and a prostitute, but I never had any intention of draining your entire family's possessions."

"really? Then why would you marry my father, don't tell him you love him because it's all Bullshit."

"Or do you want to say only Andrew appreciates and wants you, right? Stop acting and pretend to be weak, bitch. You thought I'd be fooled by your wiles. NEVER WILL!"

"YOU!"

"I'm sick and I don't want to see your bitch face any longer." After that he left. My hands were still clenching tightly my eyes were burning staring at Marcus's distant back. That guy's. I really want to hit him and beat him to a pulp.

A large and warm hand held my hand. I turned my head and was locked in Andrew's shady and soothing gaze.

"Take it easy." His hand pulled me back to sit on the chair. I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Regulating the roar of breath hunting me to return to normal.

"What's going on? Why are you guys listening, even better than before? Weren't you guys all right yesterday and look familiar."

I'm speechless. I was angry because he insulted me. Coupled with that special gift that I believe the sender was Marcus made me even more angry and upset at the man.

But I can't tell Andrew about that special gift.

"I don't know, since last night he's been acting like that. Or that's his true nature."

Andrew took a deep breath and held my hand tightly.

"Sorry, I know what he said was very rude to you. Actually he's a good boy. But since his mother's death he's become very reclusive and loud." Andrew's eyes looked at me with guilt.

"He's got a deep wound." Sadness was evident in Andrew's eyes.

"Because of losing her mother?"

"No, because of a woman." A lady? I fell silent and looked closely at Andrew. I want to hear the story.

"Here Marcus was a warm and kind man. But after his mother's death he turned cold and quiet. I thought the change was because she felt like she lost her mother but it wasn't. She was sad Hanna died but that was not the cause of her change of attitude. He's like that because of a woman." I just kept quiet and didn't interrupt Andrew's words.

"Hanna was visiting Marcus's apartment. The man told Hanna about the girl he loved. And Marcus insists on driving Hanna home. But it was raining that night and the road was very slippery. Ultimately accidents are inevitable. The car Marcus was driving hit the power pole very hard. Hanna and Marcus are taken to the hospital but Hanna dies while there. And Marcus is in a coma."

"Koma?" I never knew the man was in a coma. Andrew nodded and continued his story.

"Yes, Marcus was in a coma for six months. At that time I was really bad. My wife died and my son fell into a coma."

"Lucky Marcus finally woke up after six months. And she was shocked to learn Hanna was dead. He's also looking for the whereabouts of a girl named Lina." My heart is beating so fast.

"L—Lina." My eyes glazed with a trembling voice.

"Yes, the girl he told Hanna was named Lina. But during her treatment and coma, no girl named Lina visited her. Only Siska, her college friend, came to visit. And the girl also went to see Marcus more and more after he regained consciousness. I knew at the time that she liked Marcus. But from the moment he awakens from a coma Marcus begins to change. He was much more cold and quiet. I think it's all because of the loss of her mother. But it turns out all those changes were because of a girl named Lina." Every word Andrew spoke seemed to slowly pull the spirit from within my body.

"Marcus was hurt because the girl he loved never once visited him. Marcus is heartbroken that the girl betrayed his love. And I heard from Siska, that girl was just using Marcus's treasure. After hearing Marcus' accident and coma, the girl named Lina disappears with no news. Maybe he thought Marcus would never wake up again." Cold sweat has flooded me. The heart beats faster as Andrew tells it all.

"When did the accident happen?"

"Five years ago, March 25, 2010." My heart beat so hard that it hurt. The accident happened on the day of my mother's death. And Marcus was in a coma for six months after that day. That means Marcus ....

"So, please let you understand him. Because of that girl named Lina, Marcus finds it hard to trust other people anymore. He's very hurt. Because of that, he was cold and hard on you. He doesn't want to be betrayed again and thinks you're approaching me just to drain Cho's family's treasure."

I was just silently pensive with the shocking facts I had just heard. The girl named Lina is me. Lina is the favorite nickname Marcus gave me.

"So try to understand him." Andrew's hand caressed my head but I didn't respond at all. I was still pensively staring blankly and immersed in my own thoughts. All speculation began to take shape.

Five years ago, on March 25, 2010, my mother died. From that day on I lost contact with Marcus. I thought he disappeared away from me, but it turns out that guy had a terrible accident.

I was fragile and needed his presence at the time but it turned out that Marcus was fighting death.

I waited a week or so for Marcus to come home to his apartment, but he never came. Not that Marcus wouldn't come but because he couldn't come and fight to get out of the coma.

I thought Marcus just left me with no explanation, but he couldn't reach me because he was in a coma.

What have I done? I cried and expected her presence in my most difficult time but I had no idea about her condition at all. I wasn't by his side when he was fighting death and trying to wake up from a coma.

He even asked me how I was when he woke up, and I thought he had betrayed me and left me. I even cursed and cursed him.

Good Lord! It's all just a misunderstanding. And I was so stupid for not knowing how she was doing back then. I was devastated by my own circumstances and sadness. Let the man I love fight for himself against death.

Marcus.

He doesn't deserve all the swearing and harsh words I say to him.

Marcus.

It must have been a great disappointment that Marcus felt at the time. But why didn't he seek and demand answers from me? Why didn't he see me when he was awake and healthy again?

I have to go and ask for an explanation directly from him. I got up and headed to my room. I don't even know when Andrew left for work. Now I have to go see Marcus.

***

I walked into the Cho Corporation building and headed for the reception desk. Nindy, the woman who used to hold me back from meeting Andrew stood straight with a big smile welcoming me.

"No, I want to see director Cho. Where's room?" The woman named Nindy was shocked for a moment.

"Director Cho's room is on the 19th floor, ma'am." I nodded and headed straight for the elevator.

I'm walking to Marcus's room. A male secretary is holding me.

"Sorry, miss. Can anyone help?"

"I want to see Marcus. He's inside, isn't he?"

"Yes, did you make an appointment?" I ignored his words and walked quickly to Marcus's door. The secretary shouted to prevent me. But I opened the door and stepped inside.

Marcus who was working behind his great desk turned his head towards me.

"Miss, don't come in." The secretary man was standing next to me.

"Sorry, sir. This lady barged in."

"What are you doing here, Shelina?"

"I want to talk to you." Marcus just raised his eyebrows. I ignored his sharp and cynical gaze.

"I'm busy, go." Marcus turned his face.

"I just want to talk to you for ten minutes." I stepped closer to his desk.

Marcus waved his hand to throw away the male secretary earlier. I sat in front of Marcus.

"What do you want to talk about?" I looked into Marcus's eyes. The guy I always called a jerk, turns out he never left me.

"Is it true that five years ago you were in an accident and in a coma?" Marcus's face immediately turned serious.

"Why do you ask, don't you already know that. And hearing of my coma, you left me. You must think I won't wake up again. That's why you didn't come to see me and look for warmth and gold mines from other men." Marcus' eyes were emitting such intense anger. The veins on his face and hands stiffened.

I'm not angry about the allegations, nor am I upset about them. My heart was more hurt and hurt to hear that fact directly from Marcus. My eyes are heating up, tears are boiling and ready to spill at any time.

"Marcus" I said softly. He must have been lonely and needed my presence. She must have been very hurt because I was never at her side for a second.

"Stop pretending to be weak and hurt, Bicth! You think I'll be affected by your ruse again." Marcus breaks the table to vent his anger. My tears flow down my cheeks.

"M—Marcus, ak—I didn't know you had an accident."

"really? Really true?" Both of Marcus' hands pressed against the table and his body leaned towards me. His sharp and cynical eyes rained down on me to the heart. So hurt.

"Bullshit," Marcus said with emphasis. My tears are flowing more and more.

"I've been looking for any whereabouts and any info on you. But I didn't get it at all. Your phone can't even be reached and I don't know where your parents' home address is."

"Stop talking Shelina nonsense. Siska said she told you, but you don't care and have fun with other men. You approached me just because I was rich and had a lot of money, right? You think I won't wake up from the coma again, that's why you're looking for another man and selling your body for money. You lowly bitch."

"Marcus, it's not what you think. I'm at all...."

"I told you to stop talking nonsense. I already know how bad you are, Shelina. You and your father want to take control of the Cho family's entire estate, don't you?"

"No! I wasn't...."

"I have the proof Shelina. So don't deny it anymore."

"What do you mean?" Marcus tapped on his phone and turned the voice recording.

"You're right. A hundred million is not a lot of money. Andrew was so rich, he even bought you this cafe. I'm sure you've earned a lot of money from him."

"Yes, I didn't promise Andrew not to ask him for any more money."

"Take that five billion just to get my approval so she can marry you. We can't just let go and you have to keep asking Andrew for money."

"Damn you! You're really smart."

"So, you just have to ask for money with your future husband. He won't go bankrupt if you ask for a hundred million. If you could ask for a billion."

"I'll give it to you,"

It was a recording of my conversation with Jonathan. It was my voice but I never said those words. The recording was sabotaged.

"It's definitely your voice, isn't it. So stop denying all my accusations. You duitan-eyed woman! Lowly bitch!"

"Marcus, that was my voice but I didn't say it. Jonathan threatened me."

"Stop Shelina's bullshit. Your boay tears won't work for me. So, get out of my room now."

"Marcus, it's not like.." The ringing of the cell phone stopped my sentence. I took the phone from the bag.

Evelyn called.

I'll just pick up Evelyn's call.

"Huh...."

"Shelina, you need to go to the cafe right now." My forehead is pucker inside. Evelyn's voice was very strange and trembling. Did something happen at the cafe?

"Evelyn, what's wrong?"

"Gurghhh!" Evelyn's screaming voice was accompanied by a noise and very noisy. I got up and was hit by thousands of worries and worries.

"Evelyn, what's going on?" There was no answer and only a noise and other hysterical screams.

"Evely." And finally the call was interrupted. Regardless of anything else I immediately turned around and ran out. I need to go to the cafe right now. My God, what really happened there?
