Magic Lantern

Magic Lantern
Residence

Tania is still confused to decide whether to live in an apartment or a house. Inspired by friends movies. It seems nice to share a place to stay. Should he buy an apartment or a house and then rent it out? Being a boarding mom?

Things to do see the campus and his office. Just determined his place of residence. Want to find a place to live that is not too far from the place of activity. Enough to walk or ride a bike.

The beautiful atmosphere in New Zealand is one of the considerations.

Tania chose a residence closer to campus. So you can use a bicycle. While the workplace chose to drive a small car that will be bought.

Choosing a house versus an apartment. Consider if you want to invite your friends home. Or have a more comfortable event at home.

Plans to rent out his house but to people he already knows. To make the home feel more comfortable.

Tania started walking down the street looking for and asking about the houses that were being sold around.

I mean using intermediary services. To find a more suitable home. It is not easy to find a house by walking down the street while the time is only a week. Using an intermediary service agent makes it easier to find the house he needs.

Decided to have lunch in the campus canteen. Ordering Kiwi burgers and Pavlova.

After finding the services of property intermediaries through his gadget. Tania contacted him and gave him the property data she wanted.

Tania ate her Kiwi burger. Eating Pavlovanya that feels smoother in the mouth. Spent his lunch. Hurry back to the hotel.

Arranging his schedule in finding a house that suits his wishes.

If you buy a house and put it in. Planning to take a cooking course. Tania plans to cook her own food. Sometimes he would buy. Cooking itself can be ascertained. There are halal-certified foods but they are not always available.

Unlike in India or Muslim countries. Everywhere there is halal food even though it is not halal certified. Almost all food is also halal certified. While here he must choose a trusted halal certificate NZIDT.

It is different to live in an Islamic country or a majority of Muslims with non-Muslims.

It's not even a week. Before college starts. He better find the house he's looking for. He would buy a bicycle once he had bought and occupied the house. The car does not need to rush. For a while, he could use public transportation or a taxi.

His own work starts next month. At least he had to adapt first to campus life and all his activities.

Take a job on a freelance basis so as not to clash with his lectures. If he has finished his studies plan to work in full. Stay here forever.

Tania decided to look at the campus library. He would spend a lot of time there making college assignments and looking for references.

Beautiful building, decorated with grass and trees. Adding a beautiful impression.

His heart was steady to choose New Zealand as a place to settle. He plans to become a citizen there.

The weather's a little cold. Breeze breeze. He hurried to the library. Accidentally bumping into a man who was also in a hurry.

“I am sorry Tania.

“Its okay.”

They nod each other's heads.

Tania continued her footsteps towards the library. Some people here read and write.

Tania went down the library shelves. He did not intend to read but only wanted to see closely the library that would likely be familiar after the lecture activities took place.

I look around the whole room. Tania walked out of the library. Back to the guy he hit.

“We meet again.” How polite.

“Yeah.”

“Are you new here?”

“Yeah, I am from Indonesia.”

“I see's. Do you have anything relative?”

“Nope.”

“Friends?”

“I haven’t found no one yet.”

“I see's. What is your name?”

“Tania. And yours?”

“Darren.”

“Nice to meet you.”

“I have to go. I have to find house for a living.”

“Now you staycation?”

“Yeah.”

“Do you think to attend social meeting at my house. Maybe it can help you to find new friends or relatives.”

“How kind of you. Ofcourse.”

“Can I have your number? I will sent the invitation and address.”

“Ok, sure.”

“Thanks.”

“Its my pleasure. I am sorry but I think I got to go.”

“Yeah, till we meet again.”

“Yeah, sure.”

New Zealanders are very friendly and they often gather together on weekends and share meals.

Tania is comfortable with the hospitality of New Zealanders and their warm and polite attitude.

Not for a week. He had to find a home for her to stay in. He will likely share a place to live. So have friends to share. But maybe not a stranger at all. Maybe through the friendship he will make later. He doesn't know yet.

Seeing the cozy, polite and warm character of the New Zealanders may not have found a friend. He will offer room rent through advertising. And only women. As Muslim women are not comfortable if they have to share a room rental with the opposite sex. Life in New Zealand is free. What if they bring their girlfriends home?

Eastern culture and religion still dominate and distinguish the customs of each person. There will be culture shock if forced to change. Some people can accept the change but some people still feel more comfortable with their original culture. The tolerant attitude of New Zealanders especially towards minorities is also comfortable.

The following days were busy with finding a place to stay for Tania to settle in New Zealand.

Look at the house offered by the housing agent he contacted.

Tania takes a taxi to a house not too far from campus. He could ride it every day on a bicycle.

The choice fell on a house with a fairly large yard. It has three rooms and one bathroom. Car ports. Living room, family, dining and kitchen.

The kitchen is facing the back yard. Maybe he'll raise a rabbit to beautify his backyard.

Planting flowers here and there. Maybe a carrot garden for rabbit and vegetable food.

Tania's feeling was a little calmer. He has got a house that suits his wishes. Not too far from the campus. The house can also be used to receive guests if holding a gathering together on the weekend. It has become a habit here every week to hold social meetings.

Tania is preparing for her move. Buying a bike to go to campus. A small car to drive her to work and shop. Enrolling cooking courses taught by Muslim teachers.

In Indonesia, she is lazy to cook. Many sell halal food. There are also housekeepers who cook. But here everything is done alone. Inevitably he began to have to think about what was more practical and comfortable for his needs and daily life.

After All, I hope I will have a very nice day everyday and second. I can enjoy my new life here....
