Love Sheila

Love Sheila
Mother-in-law

Tok to tok.

The bedroom door was knocked on by someone when Sheila just came out of the walk in closet, styling clothes and everything else in the closet. Steven who was lying in bed also looked up.

"Let me be Mas" Sheila said and Steven nodded in agreement.

"Yes" Sheila said after opening the door.

"I'm sorry Miss, Mr and Madam are waiting for Miss and Den Steven to have lunch downstairs," the middle-aged maid said politely.

"Oh yeah Bik, we're coming down."

Sheila closed the room door after the maid resigned.

"Papa and Mama are waiting for us downstairs for lunch, Mas" Sheila said.

Again Steven just nodded his head, then stood up and out of the room followed by Sheila.

'Irit said it anyway, from earlier just ngokguk aja answernya. Huft, patient Sheila, she's your husband now, even if it's only been two years.'

Everyone ate quietly at the dinner table.

"Sheila tomorrow Monday you're in college again, right?" ask Ricko in between his meals.

"Yes Pa, tomorrow Monday there is a morning lecture schedule as well" Sheila replied politely.

"Would you bring your own car or Steven?" ask Ricko again.

Sheila and Steven both raised their faces in shock.

"Emmhhhh, Sheila does not want to take care of Pa, so tomorrow Sheila along with Sheila's friends is usually kayaking," Sheila replied slightly hesitantly.

"But kid-"

"Tompe me the anter Pa," Steven cut quickly avoiding the problem getting longer.

Sheila rounded her eyes, dumbfounded at Steven's words.

"Well better, Papa can also feel calm," Ricko was relieved.

Sheila turned her head towards Steven, trying to find an answer. Unfortunately Steven remained indifferent and continued eating quietly.

After lunch Ricko took Steven to his study to talk about the company. As was her custom at Jefri's house, Sheila helped clear the dining table.

"But Madam..." Bik Minah who is more senior does not continue her words and looks down upon seeing the flash of her big madam's sharp eyes.

"Sheila you clean the dining table, after that wash everything dirty. You didn't have lunch, did you? Instead I want you to cook and prepare for dinner, okay?" amelia said with a commanding tone.

A little surprised but Sheila nodded anyway. "Good Ma."

"Minah, Miss Siti you guys clean the backyard now."

"Okay Madam," replied Bik Minah and Mbak Siti together then resigned.

Amelia leaves Sheila alone. A little surprised by the treatment of her mother-in-law, but Sheila still carried out what was ordered by Amelia. Sheila also felt guilty because it was true that she did not help prepare lunch.

According to Amelia's orders last night, Sheila also cooked and prepared for dinner with the help of Bik Minah and Mbak Siti. Steven and Ricko were in the workspace long enough not to know the problem.

"Hmm, it looks like this is not Bik Minah or Mbak Siti's cuisine. Sheila are you cooking dinner tonight, son?" ricko asked after he started bribing his food.

"Yes Pa. Does it taste bad?" sheila asked doubtfully.

"No dear, it's really delicious. Isn't it Ma, Steve?" Ricko asks Amelia and Steven for opinions.

"Yes Pa, this tastes really good. How about for breakfast tomorrow so Sheila's cooking too?" amelia's Proposal.

"Papa agrees. But we can't trouble our daughter-in-law dong Ma."

"Do you mind Sheila?" ask Amelia.

"Oh, no Ma. Sheila did not mind at all. Sheila doesn't feel troubled either."

"Good, then tomorrow you cook again for breakfast" said Amelia.

"Good Ma."

Finish the dinner. Something like that happened again this afternoon. Amelia always took advantage of the situation. After Ricko and Steven leave the dinner table, Amelia asks Sheila who cleaned the dinner table and washed the dirty dishes.

Amelia had even warned her aides not to report it to Ricko or Steven, or else they would lose their jobs.

'I feel like Mama doesn't like me a little. Since the wedding yesterday, even today's events as well. No, maybe it's just my feeling. Come on Sheila, don't think negatively.'

Sheila shook her head slowly, trying to dispel the bad thoughts in her head.
