Don't Listen to Them

Ken's car stops at Ani's boutique parking lot, Jihan's best friend. The distance from the hospital to the boutique is not so far away, so it did not take long for Ken to pick up the mother and her brother. Ken, Jihan, and Kania immediately went down then rushed inside the boutique.

The boutique clerk who greeted them directed them to the living room where Santi was waiting. From a distance they can already see Santi's debate with Leana. And when Mama Ryo suddenly came and cornered Santi, Ken was almost running right then and there.

"Wait for Ken," stop Jihan while holding Ken's arm. "Let's have aja. It's a woman's business. You and Kania take care of Santi, okay!"

With a heavy heart Ken nodded his head, following the words of his Mamih. Ken, Jihan, and Kania accelerate their steps to approach Santi.

"I never liked you before. And now everything is proven, right? You are not equal to us. All your actions reflect who you really are. A respectable woman will not resort to lowly means and destroy the relationships of others. Especially for revenge reasons,"

Reni's words full of insults to Santi can be heard clearly by Ken, Jihan, and Kania who have stood a meter from Santi, Reni, and Leana. Santi's face that had been glazed did not escape the attention of the three of them. Ken's hands were clenched tightly on both sides of his body.

"It turns out to be true, no, the upbringing of parents is very important. And you never get that because of who your parents are you never know" Reni said

And the tears that finally escaped from Santi's beautiful eyes, made Ken's emotions increasingly peaked, but Kania swiftly held his sister's arm.

"And is this the way a respectable woman treats others?" ask Jihan suddenly.

Reni, Leana, and the startled Santi immediately set their sights on Jihan who was standing not far from them. Jihan, Ken, and Kania immediately approached Santi. Ken and Kania embrace Santi from the right and left sides while Jihan stands in front of them.

"A respectable woman would not insult and humiliate another woman, let alone in public like this," Jihan said.

"Doctor Jihan, you don't need to interfere with this matter. This is my personal business with Santi. And also, what I said was a fact. The proof is that Santi is silent, can't argue with my words?" challenge Reni.

Jihan chuckled softly before replying.

"I didn't expect that it turned out that your mind was as petty as that of Miss Reni. I explained to you, Santi is my daughter-in-law. So whatever Santi's business is then it's also my business" Jihan said.

Reni and Leana are surprised to hear that Santi is the daughter-in-law of Jihan. Which means Santi is Ken's future wife.

"And why doesn't Santi argue with you? That's because Santi still respects you as someone older than him. I know very well the nature of my future daughter-in-law. He always puts politeness above everything else. And it should be, that's the way a respectable woman behaves, appreciates and respects others" Jihan said.

Reni and Leana were at a loss for words. They felt slapped with the words of Jihan.

"And one more thing, I would like to thank you Miss Reni. Thank you so much for letting go of a girl as good as Santi so we can get this diamond. A girl who is beautiful, kind, polite, smart, hardworking, and also tough. My family and I are so lucky to have a daughter-in-law like Santi."

Santi's tears that had stopped now flowed back. Feeling moved by all of Jihan's defense of her. Ken who knew it was getting his embrace on Santi's arm.

"One thing you should know madam, never judge a person only from his family background and degree alone. Because the most important thing is how the attitude and nature. A relationship will not last long if there is no mutual respect and respect in it, in addition to the affection of course."

"I hope this is the last time you tease my future daughter-in-law. Don't you ever do it again or I'll make sure you'll regret it. Excuse me," said Jihan then turned her body back, "Come on, Aunt Ani has been waiting for us to fit your wedding dress."

Ken, Santi, and Kania nodded. The four of them then left the living room, leaving Reni and Leana still silent in place. Ken never took his hand off Santi's arm.

"Are you okay, honey?" asked Ken after the four of them arrived at the room to be used for wedding dress fittings.

Santi smiled then nodded his head slowly. A forced smile, Ken knew it.

"Don't think about it, baby. Don't listen to their talk. They're all nonsense, just nonsense. They just want to make you feel inferior. So don't listen to them. Let's just say their talk is just the wind then, it doesn't matter, okay," entertain Jihan at length.

"Yes mih. Thank you for having taken Santi by now" said Santi.

"That's an obligation, dear Mamih. Anyway anyone who dares to look for the same problem Mamih children then they will face the same Mamih," Jihan replied with emphasis.

Seeing Santi who returned teary-eyed because touched Jihan was immediately hugging her prospective daughter-in-law.

"Don't cry baby. Don't be sad anymore. You are not alone now. You have Mamih, Ken, Papih, and the others too. Don't think about their bullshit because we won't be affected in the least, okay," Jihan said.

"Yes mih. Thanks," Santi replied in Jihan's arms.

Kania wiped away the tears in the corner of her eyes, moved by the interaction between Santi and Mamih. So too with Ken.

In his heart Ken promised himself that he would always look after and protect Santi with all his soul and body. And Ken won't let anyone make the girl shed another tear. It was enough of all the sadness that Santi had been through all this time. Now is the time of happiness that will fill the life of Santi and also himself.
