LOST (Anna)'s

LOST (Anna)'s
Chapter 23. "Never leave Dad, son,"

The day was as good as before for Anna. There was no more tension or tears in the little house. Dirno heartily went to her daughter and apologized for the treatment she had done over the past few days.

"Dad had too many thoughts in the hospital, so, I'm sorry if you brought the baby home."

Anna shook her head. The beautiful twenty-four-year-old girl hugged her father's old body again. The old body that was still able to sustain the lives of his two beloved daughters sons.

The warm and affectionate elusan was felt by Anna from the wrinkled hands of her father. Anna closed her eyes, permeating every outpouring of love that Dirno had placed on her. However, even though they returned as before, there was a speck of foreign feeling perching in Anna's mind. A feeling that made the girl uncomfortable, I don't know what.

Anna tried to ignore that speck of feeling. Perhaps, it is just the effect of the commotion that had occurred a few days ago.

"Don't ever leave Dad, son." Dirno again opened her voice which now sounded more hoarse and vibrating.

"Dad crying?" Anna raised her head to look at his face. However, Dirno hurried to hold him back and asked Anna to keep hugging and leaning against his chest, as if she was not allowed to see the fragility on the old face.

"No." Answer Dirno.

Anna was silent for a moment, before then answering Dirno's strange question. "Of course I'm not going anywhere, Dad. I'll stay here .. accompany Dad through every second of his time with Brother Denis. We're the ones who'll be your support later."

Dirno seemed shaken at the sound of each word coming from Anna's mouth. So did Anna who somehow felt a deep sadness at this moment.

Inwardly, the girl only hoped that happiness and blessings would always come to their little family.

...**********...

Anna was just about to pedal her bike out of the orphanage, when a luxury car pulled up right in front of the fence.

Anna knew who the car belonged to. Anna secretly thanked the presence of the man because it turned out that he had not returned to Jakarta. Although Ryan was planning to stay there, it did not mean he would not be busy to and fro to take care of his work.

Trying to ignore the incident between them some time ago, Anna tried to be professional by getting off her bike and walking outside the fence to greet the car owner.

"Sore, Mr. Ryan," said Anna with a sweet smile that felt less friendly.

Ryan who just got out of the car, looked at Anna meaningfully. His eyes looked sad.

"I want to see you" he told Anna.

Anna jerks. Because in addition to knowing Ryan's purpose, also realize the way he talks and mentions himself began to change.

"What's it for, sir?" ask Anna.

Ryan seemed to be thinking about something first before answering it. "Things of yours are on me. You remember?"

Of course remember! Anna's mind flared. Thank goodness the man knew himself.

Anna nodded her head mannered. In order to get the necklace, he finally agreed to go with Ryan somewhere.

Anna could not have guessed at all that Ryan would take her to the man's residence. Anna was panicked and scared. However, his fear was all but gone when he saw an old woman who was busy cleaning the house. The woman was the housekeeper Ryan had hired.

Thank goodness! Inner Anna. "At least there will be witnesses if this man wants to mess with me!" he continued in a very small voice.

Anna sat on a soft sofa that felt much more comfortable many times over from the sofa in her house. At first glance he looked at the interior of the apartment that looked very boring. Maybe because the one who lives there is a single man.

Ryan came to sit in front of Anna after putting down a very fragrant cup of warm tea. Anna believes the tea is very expensive.

Shortly afterwards, Ryan is seen removing something from his neck.

Anna gasped to find the necklace was actually used by Ryan.

How insolent! Inner Anna. The man had just been wearing something that belonged to someone else, and what was more annoying was, why did he have to bother coming here when the necklace turned out to have been carried by Ryan around his neck.

"Since I've been wearing this necklace?" asked Anna without caring about her lack of face.

Ryan nodded his head. "What does this necklace mean to you, Anna?" ask the man suddenly.

Anna scrunched her forehead an uncomfortable sign, as she felt Ryan was too curious about what she had.
