Dirno can no longer hold herself back from keeping Anna selfish, after learning Angel's life story. Although Anna had been cruelly banished by her brother, it did not mean that the rest of Anna's family did not want the girl's presence, especially her parents.
As a result, armed with the name of the company where Denis worked, Dirno tried to go there. Anybody knows he can get the address of the headquarters where Ryan is. However, whether this was luck or not, the man was still in this village.
"Please, I would like to meet Mr. Ryan" Dirno politely asked, standing awkwardly in front of both office receptionists.
The two women who had previously rejected Dirno's request began to show his uncomfortable attitude. "Sir, you should have an appointment with him first, can't haphazardly meet. After all, he is currently in a meeting and does not know when it will end" said one receptionist once again.
"I'll wait, Ma! Please just tell me my name, Dirno, he'll definitely meet me."
The two receptionists stared at each other for a moment, before one of them was forced to go upstairs to meet Ryan. Although Ryan is not the leader of the branch company here, the man is still the supreme boss who must be respected and protected from strange people who have the potential to interfere.
However, when the woman tells Ryan Dirno's name, her facial features suddenly change. He even asked to be prepared a special room for their meeting.
After waiting for not five minutes, Nathan went down to meet Dirno on Ryan's errand, and immediately took the man to the tenth floor highest there.
"I'm sorry if you waited a long time" Nathan said.
"I understand," replied Dirno slowly. The man who had previously looked very sad and hated them so much, now turned more quiet.
Nathan himself had no idea what had happened to the man, including his purpose for coming here. If only for the fuss, Nathan doubted it.
When they arrive on the tenth floor, Nathan and Dirno head to one of the enclosed rooms used by Yuda for his personal purposes. The room is similar to a room with a living room and a toilet that is quite luxurious.
Upon seeing Dirno's arrival, Ryan courteously kissed her hand.
"Please sit down, sir," Ryan said.
Dirno then sits right in front of Ryan, while Nathan sits next to his best friend.
The atmosphere was silent for a moment, before Dirno finally took out a piece of photo from inside her wallet. This is the same photo Ryan wanted to see.
Ryan took the photo and looked closely.
A second later the man was surprised not to be dumbfounded when correctly confirming that it was Anna's figure.
"This ...."
Hearing the story of Dirno, Ryan and Nathan compact to look at each other. The two of them did not understand what the old man was talking about.
"What does Father mean? Sorry sir, we don't really understand." Curiosity makes Ryan ask questions.
Dirno sighed first, before then continuing her story. "Anna ... her memory loss .. permanent."
Ryan gasped, and so did Nathan.
"The day after the accident should have taken place Anna should have been referred to a larger hospital for further treatment, but I, who was only a street busker, was unable to do so."
Ryan is speechless. The man who was originally sitting firmly on the sofa, now looks dazed if Nathan does not immediately hold it.
"Whether it's interconnected or not, it's possible that if I had more money, Anna wouldn't have experienced something like this." Dirno's voice began to tremble. His eyes were even wet.
"A guilty feeling about how I couldn't afford to take Anna to the doctor, always haunts her every night. However, when I recalled how the black car ruthlessly left him alone there, it made me think, that my actions were right. Anna is unwanted! So, I decided to take care of her and bestow affection on the girl, as if she was a princess I never had." Dirno bowed and wiped away a single tear using the tip of her shirt.
Ryan could only stare at Dirno with question marks and anger. He wanted to spout out all his emotions, but the man was self-aware that he was the trigger for the events thirteen years ago.
"Why didn't you report Anna to the police?" Nathan was the one who finally asked Dirno a question.
Dirno raised her head and looked at Nathan. "I was a former recidivist when I was young. Married to Denis' mother was the door of my new life. Although I once helped the authorities in exchange for the removal of the toughest criminal records I had, the trauma associated with them remains a scourge."
"Then let Anna know everything! Tell me the truth!" tell Ryan then.
Dirno was silent for a moment, then begged them not to take Anna away from her. The man didn't want to not return Anna, but he just wasn't ready for Anna to know everything.
"Anna is a fragile girl. She cried for weeks after the death of her beloved cat. So, please give him some time. Let Anna find her own memory first," asked Dirno with a face that was clear.
Hearing that, Ryan looked emotional. "So you said the memory loss Anna had was permanent? So, how can he remember everything if we don't take him to the hospital to be sure of ourselves?"
"Bro, relax!" Nathan tries to calm Ryan whose breathing starts to go up and down.
"Please, I can't see how Anna reacts. Anna would also definitely not believe it since it had absolutely no memory of her past."
Ryan leaned softly on the sofa. The man was holding Anna's necklace which he was wearing.
