The girl kept chasing me.

Trying to get me.

Sweating sweat.

Drenched Blood.

He doesn't care about that.

All he wants is me.

Wanting to hug me and release the snare of the damned black creature from my body.

Who her?

I can't see his face. It was as if something was deliberately blurring from my memory.

Her clothes were a little complicated to describe but the frilly mini skirt she wore was blazing in the darkness of the night that began to crawl devour the twilight sky.

He fell into the abyss.

Everything went back dark.

The same dream.

"Danny .. wake up, Danny," a man's voice teased my sleep.

I opened my eyes slowly. I saw the figure of an angel. His face was radiant, his skin was brownish white. White that fit Indo, Spiky-style hair, and he never once did not smile when he looked at me this close. Endycian is handsome. But it does not remove its typical Indo face. I wonder why until this moment not a single girl caught his attention.

I am also handsome I admit that. But, in this country I feel like a corpse covered in thick whitening cream.

"You want school, don't you? We're leaving now!"

"Yes ... Yes ..," I'm still damned.

I glanced at the wall clock. At 04.00.

"It's still too early. And ... You don't usually pick me up so early?" my wonder while stretching.

"We'll go somewhere first" he said. "Now go take a shower and put on your uniform! I'm waiting for you downstairs."

I was bearded with my eyes closed again. With a little laziness I stripped my clothes. Let a hot water wash all over my body this morning.

When I looked in the mirror, something changed again on my face. My eyebrows are now brown like my hair. And my eyes look weird. I see it's not like my eyes. The eyes are not human eyes. I dare not look at him for longer. I'll wear my uniform and school bag soon.

My hair forgot to comb because I was in a hurry to get out of the room. I'm really scared if that thing shows up. Not careful, I fell down the stairs. It was fortunate that Ian was under the stairs so managed to hold my heavy body with both of his muscular arms.

"Trims."

"Take care, Dane."

I heard my mother's voice in the kitchen slicing something. Prepare breakfast for me.

"What's up, Dane?" asked Ian worried about seeing me weird. "You dreamt that thing again?"

"It's not just that" I replied. "Look at my eyes!"

Ian looked at my blue eyes.

Closer.

Closer still.

Then he gasped backwards.

"What's wrong with your pup, Dane? Your pupils are growing and shrinking flat like cat's eyes" he said.

"That's the problem. I don't know what happened to me? All these sudden physical changes to my face have been happening since my birthday. I'm afraid, what if my whole body changed? Turned into something else I don't know."

"You have to see him" said Ian for sure.

"Win' to who?"

"Since last night I've been thinking about your story. And I remember someone who might be able to help you. He is a dream interpreter, fortune teller, psychic, or something like that. My goal is to come so early this morning to take you to see him."

No logic can solve my problems. But I want to get all this done right away. Things that don't make sense though I'm gonna do to keep my life quiet.

"Can he really help me?"

Ian nodded. "I hope. Because he could see such supernatural beings."

After we had breakfast fried rice made by our mother, we immediately headed to her home in Sintar, the northern city of Vanjava City.

"Why do we have to be this early? Can't you just go home from school?" ask me along the way.

The motorbike he was driving was speeding through the cold morning air that was breaking the skin.

"If he goes to college. She was a student" he said.

"Huh?" wonder I frowned.

After half an hour we arrived at his house.

Ian knocked on the door.

From behind the door, appeared a woman with blonde hair braided. From his physique it seemed like he was the same age as Rhinna.

"Nia, I need your help" Ian asked.

"Come in!"

His house looks ordinary. Not like the paranormal house I thought. Instead of being filled with antiques and mystics, the circumstances of her home show that she is a religious and motherly person. Evidently some of the sacred verses are beautifully engraved in figurines depicting a photo of a baby in every corner of the wall.

"Sit down!" her door. "What help?" ask Ian. "Usually you never believed me and always mocked me."

"Yes, I'm sorry that I used to like to mock you and your story" Ian said with a shy smile. "It's not really me who needs help but this cousin of mine."

The woman looked at me. I seem hesitant to ask. He's like most people who think I'm a foreigner who can't talk Indo.

"Include my name Kurynia. What's yourname?" ask for a few seconds later, extending a hand.

"Danny Rhamdan," I said.

He looked at me like he was looking for something in my face. Then he was surprised.

Could he see my strange eyes from that distance of a meter?

"I see something in your body!" said. "Something else. There is another soul in your body. A very evil soul!"

"What do you mean?" asked Ian astonishment.

"Part of your body is not yours!" sergeant me.

I'm getting less and less understanding.

"I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Your soul is bound to the soul of the devil."

I'm rattled. The more I hear the nonsense the more absurd it feels.

"Please explain in more detail what really happened to me?"

"Since I've seen that look on your face, I've known it all. That thing keeps getting close to you, right?" ask Nia to make sure.

"I don't understand why that thing keeps bothering me? What attracted him to me?"

"The creature wants to test you" he said. "He wants you to fight him. Against them!"

"Aren't we all touching supernatural beings" I said hesitantly.

"of course. But that's if they don't get out of their world" he explained. "If you're aware, in this room the creature is spying on us. But you can't see it directly because they're not out of their world—from their dimension. As for you ever see the sightings, it's just their pseudo-shadows.

"Our world and theirs are like 3-dimensional worlds. They can show their form in our world. But we and they can't touch each other much less hurt."

"Then how can I fight them if I can't touch them?"

"The world is like a balloon. The balloons we blow up and we tie them tight and they put them somewhere. But over time the balloon will deflate. It means that there is an invisible hole on its surface. Same with this vast world. There must be a small hole connecting our dimension to their dimension. Between the human world and the supernatural."

"Then what am I supposed to do?"

"Tell me your dreams!" her door.

I am tired of remembering that dream. A confused dream. My last dream was about me, that girl, and Sandekala in a village in the black forest along with my brothers. I explained all my dreams to him.

"Yes, it's obvious you should find the village and the girl in your dream. Because it can bring you together with the creature that has been shadowing you," said Nia sure.

"The problem is, I don't know where the village is. Every night I wish I could dream up clues about the village but it never happened" I complained.

"Maybe you're unconscious. Actually those clues have already brought themselves to you. You should look more closely around you. Recollecting unusual events at every step of your life. Because all this time the clues have always been close."

I exhaled as hard as I could. He's not helping me. Just giving advice without the answer I expected. I knew I had to find it myself, but where?

His statement made me even more confused.

Can he read my mind?

"I can't read your mind. Your face clearly shows what you're thinking" he said with a smile.

Soon, Ian and I left the house because they didn't give me any meaningful information. Just makes my mind more confused and dizzy.

"Danny, why didn't you go to school yesterday?" ask Flo.

"Yes, Dane. When you weren't around, Shen acted like a king in class. Especially when the computer was out yesterday. He got the most value. Just the bigger the head," said Nora growled.

"Then I got sick" I said.

"ill? Are you okay?" tanya Nora looked worried.

"If I were anything, I wouldn't be going to school today. Yesterday I was just exhausted."

Our first lesson was IPA. A boring lesson for me. Mr. Erland constantly explained about human genitals explicitly. But it seems that the lesson is even the most liked by others.

At the third hour, we were stuck in an obscure classroom because our English teacher did not come and no assignments. We only spent the third hour doing unimportant activities.

"Dane, next week's summer vacation, where are you going?" ask Nora.

"I don't know. Maybe at home. I don't have a plan."

Right now I don't want to think about such things. I wondered why they weren't surprised to see the change in my face.

"Hey! It's already half ten. Time off. We're out, yuk!" bring Flo.

This time we did not go to the cafeteria. Shen was already on standby at the end of the alley. Ready to harass.

"We'll just go to the backyard, Dane!" bring Nora.

The three of us sat on a park bench near a tree.

"Flo ... Nor ... There's something I want to tell you guys," I said despite the sanctions.

They took me seriously.

"Do you know about the myth of Sandekala, the devil who always kidnaps children when dusk comes at the end of summer?" my many.

They're shaken.

"It doesn't make sense but a few days ago I saw the creature. Do you remember Flo, last Saturday I said I saw something? I saw the creature," I said.

They look confused. A stern face indicates unbelief. They try to listen to my story well.

"I met a psychic this morning. My cousin's friend. He said that the creature wanted to test me."

Their faces looked curious.

"Once I dreamed of that creature. Many times he appeared to me. That's a sign for me. I have to find him."

When I was talking seriously to them, suddenly a mango fell on my head. "Awh!"

"Well! A mango? As I recall this tree is not a mango tree," Nora wondered.

We stood up from the park bench. Look closely at the tree.

He's up there.

Staring with his glowing blue eyes.

This time I'm not afraid.

That thing can't hurt me.

After all, only I can see it. And I'm not alone. Nora and Flo are right next to me.

"Danny!" shouted Nora.

I didn't realize Nora and Flo had gone far.

They were shaking in the hallway of the classroom.

"Let's go! Don't you see that?!" sahut Flo appoints the terror. Then ran off the ridge leaving me.

"So ... they ...?"

I took a good look at that dark face for a while before finally escaping following them.

We headed straight to the canteen. To crowd.

"Can you see it?" ask me with a breath.

"Are you kidding me?! That tall creature who doesn't see!" sergeant Nora breathing.

"What was that?" ask Flo.

"That's the creature I told you about!"

"Of course, don't talk about the creature anymore. I don't want her to appear before me" said Nora shaking her palm before me and Flo.

"Let's go to class! Five minutes in," take me.

"The others haven't been in yet, what if the creature's there?" ask Nora worried.

"will not. He will not appear a second time if your mind is working. Don't daydream and don't be afraid" I said.

"Okay .. alright then. Go, Flo!"

At 10:00 the entrance bell rang.

We're already in class. The next lesson is KKPI. Without further ado, Ms. Ernie immediately sent us to the Computer Lab. The teacher gave us a piece of paper full of essays.

"You type these questions, answer them and send them to your email address. I have to finish today!" his orders.

I just thought of something. In this sophisticated and modern era getting information about a village is very easy. When Miss Ernie wasn't watching me, I went to Google. I wrote "the myth of Java Island" in the search box. I found one of the sites that talks about the myths of Java Island. I opened the site. Every city has a different myth. Vanjava City—Bahrose City—Lurid City—Javalava .... I picked Vanjava City in the city name box on Java Island.

Soon there appeared several choices of myths in Vanjava.

Boa-jenisan ...

Dedemit water ...

Sacred fish ...

Katie Transfransisscho ...

Human face two ...

Sandeka ...

I clicked Sandekala's words and came up with an article about the devil who took the children.

Sandekala is a Vereyon legend. In every village called Nekala, the creatures that he said always kidnap the children most often appear when the end of summer arrives. This Nekala village is hidden in a vast flat forest .. This is not just any myth.Every late summer arrives is the peak of the creature abducting children ... a village elder said the forest was always black when dusk arrived at the end of summer. Not because of the dark. But because the Sandekalas and other demons were feasting there.

The children of Nekala village who were kidnapped never returned. But some cases in other villages, children are always found. Even with only half a soul. They become idiots ....

At the bottom of the writing there is a row of names of villages where the emergence of Sandekala.

The village with the name Nekala there is not only one but 12. Scattered all over Vereyon.

Without lingering I recorded the 12 village addresses in the notebook. Before I closed the site, I was intrigued by a title on the mythical list of "kids of the river kidnap" but before I could read it, Ms. Ernie was already standing behind me.

"Ehem! You done working on those things, Danny?" tanyakanya.

"No, ma'am," I replied innocently smiling in embarrassment.

I immediately resumed my duties before he became furious.

Today ended as usual. Ian was waiting for me at the gate.

"Until tomorrow, Danny!" nora Sahut.

I just nodded.

"How's school?" ask Ian.

"So I saw him again. And not just me, but my two friends saw it, too" I said. "And .. I already have a clue about the village in my dream."

"Oh, huh?"

"This time you went to my house, yeah. I want to talk about all this. I need your help!" my door.

"Sure, Dane. Now boarding. We're home!"
