Light 1: Sandekala

Light 1: Sandekala
The New Beginning

In that room he held me.

My body is tied to a chair.

I was sitting under a very bright incandescent light.

But, the light was unable to pierce through the black shadows standing around the room.

I can't move.

Even to speak, I cannot.

I can only look blankly ahead.

I can't turn my head or blink my eyes.

All my body is paralyzed, helpless.

At that moment he approached me.

Showing his scythe clearly.

A bluish gust of breath burst out from behind his hood against my face.

In this situation I feel no fear anymore. My entire fear has been drained away over the past few weeks just by him. Now, I feel angry at the creature that thirsts for my soul.

Why would he want me?

Yet many other children were more easily taken away by her soul. But why does he still want me?

Waiting for 16 years to take my soul.

"Danny, wake!" call Mother. "Today I went to school. You'll be late again!"

"Good, Mom!" I said.

Looks like my whole body's crumbling. My body hurts and hurts. I couldn't get out of my own bed.

"Danny, what's wrong with you?"

"My body is sick, Mom!" I said limp.

"What were you doing there yesterday?"

I can't tell the real mother. I was afraid that he was worried even though it was very clear that expression was plastered on his face.

I'm staying quiet.

"If you're sick, you'd better take a break" he said, exiting my room without interrogating me further.

I didn't realize I'd been asleep for 10 hours since I woke up this morning. To my surprise, Ian, was in my room when I opened my eyes.

"Well! Whoa! Whoa! How are you, Dane!" insinuations. "If in a movie, you're the main character. But, you lost before the war?"

I smiled shyly..

I asked them to do this but why am I ...

"You're better?" ask Ian.

I just nodded.

"What else is okay?"

"They are healthy" he answered. "Is yesterday's training too hard for you?"

I can't say anything.

Ronny went into the room.

"Sister, is it still a half-day leave?" my many.

"Yes, Dane. Until next week, "he replied. "Next week we will move to Vereyon" he added as he walked over and sat next to us.

I'm not surprised because a few days ago I overheard their conversation with Mom about buying the new house.

"Dane, maybe .. You should stay with Ian" Ronny suggested.

"What do you mean?"

"I can't always be around you as a big brother" he said. "I've known for a long time that you're more comfortable around Ian. I don't want you to be lonely here."

I saw Ian's face. Just smiling indifferently without speaking as usual.

"But, did you let me?" my many.

"I spoke to Mom this morning. He's letting you. Your school is far away anyway. No one's gonna drive you here."

"How, Dane?" ask Ian.

I just nodded

***

A large suitcase was full of my clothes. All my things I brought and put in the big backpack I was carrying.

"Right, Mom's okay?" I was a little worried about leaving him.

"It's okay Dane. Go awayl. I'll be fine here" he said.

She's just a mother. A mother who wants the best for her child. He wants to allow everything his son wants. But I could see the look on his face was contrary to what he had said.

"Dan, take care of him as best you can. You know, these were the toughest times for him" Ronny whispered to Ian that I could actually hear.

"Come, Dane," Ian asked.

"Mom, I'm leaving" I said hugging her body before finally leaving.

"Now, this is your room" said Ian showing the room next to his as we arrived at the house. "After you've cleaned up your clothes, we'll have dinner. I'm the cook."

The night passed like the night before.

He's messing with my dreams again ...

***

"Dane, are you ready?" asked Ian from outside the door.

"Wait a minute" I said, tidying up the uniform.

I'm putting in some textbooks today.

"I'm ready. We're leaving!"

He drove me to a school 1 kilometer away from the house.

"If you're tired, you won't have to pick me up. I can go home by myself."

"Look at it later," she replied.

As I was about to walk down the hallway leading to the classroom, Nora called out to me.

"Hey, Dane!"

"Hi Nora, Flo!"

"Oh, forget it. There's important news you should know, Dane," urged Nora to cut Flo.

"Important news?"

"Follow me," he pulled my arm.

He took me to the school in front of the library.

"Look at this," he points to the picture sheets that are attached to the wall magazine.

"What's this?" I asked to see pictures of the creature at the school that was caught on camera. Of all the pictures there is one picture that makes my hair stand upright.

Two blue eyeballs stared blankly at the camera.

"Who took all this?" my many.

"We don't know. But I heard he said these pictures have been installed in the mading since the summer holidays," answered Nora.

"Why didn't the school remove these images? Do they want the school's reputation to plummet?"

"The outsiders already know. After all, the sightings were seen everywhere. Just yesterday some of our friends saw the creature in the library. He said today the school would bring a psychic here" Flo said.

Mozart's song has been heard to every corner of the school. It's time we got to class. Before I get out of there. Once again I took the time to look closely at the image of the creature.

Their low voices made me dizzy. I'm getting unusual with this crowd.

They were joking around with their friends and Shen .. This time, I didn't see him messing up. He sat quietly on his stool. Not as usual.

Shortly thereafter, Reini entered the classroom. "Please come in" he asked someone outside.

A woman stepped in. Her hair was braided in tens of small. His neck and arms were full of accessories. And she's wearing a black dress. It's Kurynia!

"I'm going to look at this room" he said.

He stood in front of the class, fused his hands together on his chest, and closed both of his eyes.

"I see one here. The creature was right in front of me," he said suddenly opening his eyes.

He looked at me surprised. Everyone was astonished.

"Oh! Turns out I was wrong. In this class there is nothing. You don't have to worry" he said hurriedly. "Bu Reini, we better go to another room" he suggested.

Before he left the class he told me to wait for him later.

The school bell rings.

I have an appointment with Kurynia to meet next to the gate guard post after school. After all the students started to disperse, he chatted with me.

"Hows it? Found her?" tanyakanya.

"You mean that village? Yeah, I found it. But, I didn't meet the red-haired girl . He died eleven years ago" I said.

"Then what are you gonna do?"

"As you once told me. That thing is testing me. They want me to fight them. I accept that. I will fight against them to get my body back to normal" I said. "But why did they come to this school and bother the other kids?"

"There are things that interest them in this school. Especially with the people he chose to be able to see them" he replied.

"You managed to drive them out?"

"For the time being they will not be showing themselves again in this school" he said.

Suddenly the sound of a motorbike rang out in front of the gate. Ian picked me up when I said there was no need.

My early school week today went on a mediocre run. Everything remained the same and did not change except for Shen. He has changed. He became kind to me and never mocked me again. And now he's trying to get along with me. I don't know what made it so.

On Sunday morning, we all went to the village to practice.

"Alright, this time you have to practice speed. In addition to stamina endurance, you also have to be fast!" sindian Sahut. "You see that tree?!" his tan pointed to several giant banyan trees hundreds of meters away from where we were standing.

"For practice this time, go towards the banyan tree. Run there with your weapons!"

"Good! It will be exhausting!" siman's lament.

I saw Shanty's face. He looks so happy and excited more than all of us.

Far in front of us were 5 banyan tree trunks over 5 meters in diameter. We all took our own paths like running a race.

"Hey, Dane! Don't lose to me!" sahut Shanty's.

"Remember! Hold your weapons properly as if you were going to fight against the Sandekalas. Keep your weapons up. As much as possible do not touch the ground," said Sindia.

Training starts.

We're moving.

The distance of one banyan tree with another banyan is quite far.

We were divided into 5 groups and each group as quickly as possible had to go to the banyan tree.

I was with Iza and Siman running towards the banyan tree right in the middle.

"Is that you're tired?!" I asked a little yell at him who was left quite far behind.

"I-I'm still strong! Don't mind me!" his reply.

He looks exhausted. Moreover, his arm, he was no longer able to grasp the sword with one hand.

We were only half way. We kept running between the thickets and the trees that grew tall. Suddenly Iza shouted as she tripped over the tree roots.

"Za, are you okay?" I asked to go back to him but Siman grabbed my arm and held it firmly.

"Dane, did you forget our purpose for doing this?" ask Siman. "You and the kids. That's what we need to save" he said. "When that day comes we will have no chance to help others. Think of this as a real war!"

I saw Iza slumped on the ground. His knee was bruised and his SHAG almost cut off his own neck.

When that day comes and Iza gets injured, surrounded by creatures ready to kill us, I will never be able to help her.

Siman is right.

I have to be strong. Maybe it could be worse than this. After all, from the beginning I was committed to myself and took into account the risks that my brothers would experience later.

"Dane!" sergeant surprised me.

Without saying anything to Iza, we immediately resumed training. Leaving Iza there alone.

Iza must be sad why I don't care. From far away I screamed something at him. "Don't give up, Za!"

In the left hemisphere, I saw from a distance the red shirt Shanty was wearing. He ran lightning-fast with Ian and Rhinna who as far as I was the first champion of the men-daughter race of the Vanjava City held a few years ago in Aleogama.

While on the right side I saw Teny and my brother. Teny moved in front of Ronny. Of course because she is a village woman. It's nothing to him. He used to walk briskly for miles to buy the basic necessities of his family.

We keep running. Deftly jump over the roots of trees that protrude to the surface of the ground.

We finally arrived. I heard Shanty's voice when he got ahead of me.

With a breath of breath we leaned our bodies on the banyan tree.

This exercise will continue to be done.

A new beginning must be made as a warrior who fights to remove this curse from my body and save the children.
