The King's statement made many of the people who came to the meeting angry. They are the Queen's family, most of whom are Queen uncles who have long planned for Prince Edward to ascend the throne in place of Prince Erland.
“Your Majesty, why is that so? They had already left the palace and Prince Erland had already decided to step down as crown prince, should not Prince Edward be the Crown Prince in place of Prince Erland,” said one of the Queen Mother's uncles who became the leader among the nobles.

“Awas ya you, Alice. You have to cook the goat well, especially the keelaminnya part. And see what happens next!”
A sneaky grin rose on Erland's face, and the man chased after his wife who had run away.
