Prince | Chapter 25
Throughout the day, Alice and the Prince enjoyed their date outside the palace. While Ruby, enjoying her own happiness with painting.
“Alice, are you happy with this palace exit?” the prince asked as they prepared to return to the palace.
Alice lowered her head and glanced at Ruby who was cleaning her painting equipment.
The prince seemed to catch the unease Alice was feeling and became suspicious of Ruby. She knew Ruby must have done something to make a big change in Alice.
“Alice!” call the prince right in his lover's ear.
“Iya, Your Majesty!” alice answered calmly. “The funds were too beautiful, until I did not realize that the Prince was talking again.”
The prince knew Alice was lying, but he pretended to be calm and believed the lover's words. Until finally, they return to the palace and both Alice and the Prince both hide their thoughts.
As soon as he arrived at the palace, and the two different caste girls returned to their respective rooms, the Prince immediately summoned his shadow bodyguards. He wanted to know what happened to Alice.
“Your Majesty, we saw Princess Ruby's pretty suspicious face change as Her Majesty whispered something in her ear. In an instant he looked angry or disappointed, then suddenly the look on his face turned happy in front of the Prince,” said the chief of the mercenaries who always kept an eye on the state of the people around the Prince.
The Prince's forehead instantly frowned and his mind was fixed on Alice. Previously, he also got a report that Ruby came to his lover's room.
These are two very suspicious things. However, because the evidence and witnesses were too minimal, the Prince could not just act so.
This case was very different from Anne who blatantly opposed it. Another problem is that Ruby comes from among the nobility of the neighboring country. The Guards nodded in understanding and said goodbye to carrying out the task.
Meanwhile, Prince Erland began to find out many things about Ruby's background that might be able to become his weapon just in case the woman acted something threatening. The prince thought, she should immediately pressure Ruby to refuse an arranged marriage with him.

As usual, Alice prepared breakfast for Prince Erland and took him to the lover's private room. He's cooking the risotto again just like the Prince said last night.
As soon as the cuisine that reminded Prince Erland of the late queen was presented on the table, Alice stood right beside the Prince and waited for him to eat.
However, it is not Prince Erland's name to let Alice work like a servant. With a single move, the man pulled Alice's body to fall on her lap and smiled sinlessly.
“Your Majesty!” Alice's eyes bulged, but the smile on her lips and the red hue on her cheek couldn't lie.
“Why stand up, can you let me eat alone? Don't you want to bribe me, honey?” the Prince asked before finally landing a kiss on the girl's left cheek.
“Ya-Your Majesty!”
“Buet me, Honey!” pinta Prince once again.
Alice nodded and immediately fed her lover until she had unconsciously finished her homemade risotto.
“You know, Alice. It was the favorite meal of the late queen, my mother. And your cooking has a taste so similar, that I feel like Mom is watching us both now!” the Prince of Erland said as Alice cleaned up their used tableware.
Alice knew this, and she was shocked to hear it. “Your Highness, is that true?”
Prince Erland nodded. “Sometimes I will take the King to eat your risotto, and surely the King also agrees that your cooking tastes exactly the same as Mother's cooking,” replied the Prince.
When they were talking about something that aroused the sadness, suddenly the door of the room was knocked and the bodyguard gave information that Ruby was coming.
The Prince's forehead was wrinkled to hear the information from his guard. Why did Ruby come to her room this early. Finally, the Prince allowed the girl to enter and Alice resumed her duties of cleaning the tableware.
“Good morning, Prince. Well, it just so happens that Alice is here! Am I interrupting?” ask Ruby who looks very friendly.
“What's up, Ruby?”
“I want permission to take Alice to a tea banquet with the daughters of the nobles and ministers of this kingdom. This is an order from the King who said, I have to attend because I will be the empress and I need support from them.”
Prince Erland certainly knew about the invitation. In this position, Ruby did not make a mistake because the King had already started introducing girls from other countries as their future empress. However, inviting Alice to an event like this, it felt like she was not willing.
“Why don't you go with the Queen Mother? Usually for events like this the Queen Mother will also come,” said Prince Erland felt objection.
“Prince, the Queen Mother will definitely join the other noble mothers, whereas among the young, I do not know any of them. Moreover, I would not know if they made fun of me who came from another country with a culture that must have been different,” replied Ruby with many reasons.
The prince still disagreed, but Ruby spoke again, “You want to help me right, Alice?”
Alice looks at Ruby's eyes, and it makes her realize that Ruby is a potential empress. Which means, Ruby will be the legitimate wife of the Prince because she is more worthy than she is.
“Here are only you closest to me, Alice. You don't want to help me? Yesterday I helped you guys, now it's my turn to need help, you don't want to help?”
“Your Majesty, let me accompany Princess Ruby. I will be back before lunch,” Alice said as she lowered her head to the Prince.
Now, the decision is in the hands of Prince Erland. If he allows, Ruby and Alice will go to the tea banquet, but if he does not allow it, then only the King's orders will make Ruby bring Alice out of the palace.
