Prince | Chapter 17
The king received an official letter coming from a neighboring country. They said they would send their daughter Ruby as an emissary to discuss cooperation with the kingdom of Warlingtoon.
The king with a happy heart called out to Prince Erland directly to give up the task.
“Prince, you know Ruby from Ark Ville country?” asked the King as the new Prince sat before him.
Prince Erland frowned, then nodded slowly. “Iya, Sire. What happened to Ruby?”
The King commented a smile because the Prince still remembered Ruby. “Ruby will come to discuss their cooperation with our kingdom. I want you to entertain Ruby when she comes. I also want you to prepare a party for Ruby!” welcome
Hearing the order from the King made Prince Erland's heart feel annoyed. But the man had to agree.
“Good, Your Majesty the King,” replied the Prince obediently.
“Good Prince, Ruby's father can support your position as well. You can come back!”
After receiving orders from his father, Prince Erland left the King's palace and returned to his palace. However, his arrogant heart made Prince Erland's mood deteriorate.
“Looks like I should meet Alice to add energy,” murmured Prince Erland.
She turned around and said to her bodyguard, “Take Alice here with tea and cake for me!”
The bodyguard obediently nodded and immediately went to look for Alice. Prince Erland, meanwhile, entered his room and sat at a table waiting for Alice.
He looked out the window and began to feel a different atmosphere. Ruby's arrival does not seem to be just for the sake of cooperation. There must be something else that became his goal to be brought to the kingdom of Warlingtoon.
Alice came with the cake and tea as the Prince wanted. Prince Erland swiftly pulled the body of his lover to sit on his lap.
Alice seemed to understand her role. He responded naturally to Prince Erland's kiss as this was already common.
The prince let go of their kisses as the two began to run out of breath. Prince Erland then looked at Alice for a long time, then stroked her delicate cheek, and said, “I don't want to be away from you, Alice!”
Alice blushed to hear the Prince's confession. He lowered his head, then wrapped his hand on Prince Erland's shoulder and replied, “I don't want to go far with His Majesty either. But, we only have time together by stealth like this.”
Prince Erland leaned his head against Alice's chest and touched the pendant hanging from it. “But, it looks like our time to be together will be reduced due to the arrival of the envoy from a neighboring country,” said Prince Erland limply.
Alice's expression immediately turned to disappointment. Her heart felt sad and unwilling if they had to lose time together.
However, the woman kept smiling and said, “Don't be sad Your Majesty. You must be excited and show His Majesty also to the ministers and the people that His Majesty will succeed in making guests from neighboring countries happy in this kingdom.”
The prince looked at the woman who was smiling giving spirit to him. Then, a kiss from Alice landed on Prince Erland's lips.
“Sata will also contribute to making good food, as I am also one of the chefs at the palace of His Highness Prince.”
Hearing Alice's words, the Prince felt dislike. She doesn't want Alice to work for Ruby's welcome.
“Don't Alice! I want you to stand beside me to welcome Ruby,” the Prince said confidently.
“Your Highness, I can't stand beside you. I'm just a waiter! And, my duty is to serve the Prince and every noble guest who comes to this palace,” cut Alice into objections. He had to remind Prince Erland of their current status and standing.
