Inside his private room, Prince Erland was visibly riled up thinking about Alice's feelings. There was a bit of regret in the man's heart for letting Alice go with jealousy that must have burned the heart.
His mind continued to be reflected on the figure of the servant who had stolen his heart. Prince Erland could not even focus on the various questions Ruby asked.
“Prince!” call Ruby. He started to get suspicious of the Prince who had ignored him since. He moved his hand in front of Prince Erland and again called out to the man, “Prince! You okay?”
The Prince regained consciousness and refocused on Ruby. “Ya, what's up?”
Ruby understood, there was something that seemed so important that it distracted the Prince from her. I don't know what the crown prince of Warlingtoon is thinking. However, whatever it is, Ruby hopes it's not about a girl.
“Prince, do you have a lover?”
The Prince's pair of eyes were perfectly rounded upon hearing a quite strange question coming out of Ruby's mouth.
The prince actually knew, Ruby had no feelings for him, and accepted this matchmaking by force. However, the Prince also did not expect that Ruby would ask a pretty personal thing.
Should Prince be honest with Ruby?
“Why? Is something bothering you?”
Ruby was silent for a moment, gathering all her courage to reveal the contents of her head. “Sorry, Prince. I saw you when I glanced at Alice. I think the Prince was disappointed when I asked Alice to leave earlier. Is this just my stupid thoughts?”
Ruby was really scared waiting for the answer from the Prince. He had once cursed himself inwardly for foolishly daring to ask such a thing to the Prince.
However, it seemed that the Prince had another thought. She thought, maybe she should have confessed her feelings for Alice to Ruby.
“Ruby you must already know a lot about me and the members of this kingdom, right? If your main goal is to marry me to get away from your parents, I can help you. But, you should also know I can avenge all those who betrayed me,” Prince Erland said with great emphasis.
Ruby forced a smile and looked at Prince Erland nervously. “I know that,” answered.
The prince grinned and looked at Ruby coldly. “Yes, I love Alice. In this kingdom no one knows about our relationship, except you. So, Ruby, if you still want to live quietly, I hope you don't look for trouble with me.”
Prince Erland's honesty apparently does not make Ruby heartbroken. It was true what Prince Erland was thinking, that actually Ruby did not have any feelings for the Prince.
The status of Ruby and the Prince who was born as a noble child, made them forced to live a regulated life from birth. However, as they mature and share their own feelings, the world will still not care about those feelings.
“Yes, I will not interfere with your relationship with Alice. After all, our relationship has not been formalized either. I will support your relationship with Alice.”
Apparently, the Prince's confession to Ruby yielded something sweet. In this way, the Prince will be more free with Alice, even if there is Ruby.
After Prince Erland's place, Ruby came to Alice in her room. From the slightly open window of the room, Ruby could see Alice curled up at the end of the bed. Either crying or sleeping.
“Alice it's me, Ruby. I'm in ya!” ruby exclaimed, who then entered Alice's room without waiting for the girl to open the door.
Ruby's eyes were fixed on the beautiful dress that Alice was wearing. The dress looks very expensive and perhaps Alice will not be able to afford it even once with a year of her salary as a waitress.
“Pu-Princess Ruby. What are you doing here?” alice asked as she wiped away the tears that had washed her face.
“I called you a few times but you didn't hear me, Alice. Are you okay?”
Alice lowered her head and realized that she was currently still wearing the expensive clothes that Prince Erland had given her. She thought Ruby would misunderstand.
“Sorry, Princess Ruby. I ... I was ..”
“You cried because of Prince Erland, right?” Ruby patted Alice on the shoulder, making the girl raise her face and look at her. “I've heard the Prince's confession, and I can understand his feelings. Now, seeing you like this, I'm so sure that you love Prince Erland too.”
Alice's tears fell down instantly. However, quickly the movement of his hand attempted to wipe away the clear water that was carelessly sliding from his eyes.
“Princess Ruby, I'm sorry. I know this is a mistake, please don't tell anyone!”
Alice was about to grab Ruby's hand to beg, but the princess just hugged her and patted Alice on the back with a sly smile.
Ruby who was currently upset with Alice finally said, “Your feelings are indeed not wrong, Alice. Falling in love is not a mistake. But, you should also know yourself, because you and the Prince are not from the same circles.”
Ruby let go of the embrace and looked at Alice with a contemptible look. “Sway the Prince of Erland before anyone finds out about your relationship. Your mere status as a servant will definitely ruin the future of the kingdom if it retains that feeling.”
Alice looked at Ruby who seemed to disapprove of her relationship with the Prince. What else did Alice expect. It was definitely impossible for a noble girl like Ruby to willingly give up the position of empress candidate for the sake of a servant.
“Think carefully. Your relationship doesn't just impact your fate, Alice. But also the fate of the Prince. Do you want the Prince to be removed from the throne and replaced by his little half-brother? I think the Queen Mother will definitely be happy to fight for her son, Prince Edward to ascend the throne in place of Prince Erland as Crown Prince.”
Alice was actually killed with Ruby's words. The position of Prince Erland within the kingdom was not yet entirely strong.

The King wants to strengthen the position of Prince Erland by marrying the Prince to Ruby so that more support is obtained by Prince Erland. However, if the King and the people of Warlingtoon came to know the relationship of the Prince with a servant, the position of the Crown Prince could be replaced.
The people will definitely oppose the relationship of a crown prince with a commoner. They certainly would not if in the future, their Queen was an ex-servant.
“Don't tell the Prince anything about what I'm saying this.” Ruby immediately left Alice's room after saying such a painful thing.
Alice could only shut herself in her room and cry.
A while passed, the girl fell asleep after crying to the point of being tired. Suddenly, a hand slipped into her blanket and made Alice wake up in shock and astonishment.
