The Prince refuses to get engaged to Ruby, but the King insists Alice will be removed from the palace. In fact, his life outside the palace would also not be guaranteed as the King would not let Alice live quietly if the Prince refused his orders.

“Alice, my heart was broken when I put the ring into Ruby's hands!” the Prince of Erland said after they reached the park which was quite far from the reach of the guests.
Alice lowered her head. Although his heart also hurt, but he could still wait for the time that the Prince promised. Alice is confident that Prince Erland will provide a wonderful end to their relationship.
“Your Highness, you should be able to keep your attitude. If Your Majesty is like this, not only the King is angry, but all the people will oppose our relationship,” Alice replied as she rubbed her lover's face.
“I will make this engagement void before Alice's wedding day.”
Prince Erland kisses Alice and confirms that only Alice, the only girl, will get a kiss from Prince Erland.
