Chapter 5. Families

A horse-drawn carriage stopped right in front of the door of the Locke family home. A man hurriedly descended from it. Iris greeted him with a pale face.

"Stefan, hurry! Your sister!" Iris held both arms of her husband in panic.

"What's going on?"

"Suddenly he was short of breath for no reason. I'm so scared!"

Stefan rushed to follow Iris into the house directly to Elona's room. Stefan tried to keep responding calmly, though inwardly he panicked as well. "Have you called the doctor?"

"I called Baron Sven to check on Elona. He's in your sister's room now."
