The Part 24

“I always justify what I believe, even if it always goes against the minds of the crowd. I always choose my own path, and without looking into the path of others. I strongly believe Kenzhi is still alive, though others consider him to be dead. But why did I not find a bright spot at all as a way for me to meet him?” I looked at Brother Gavin seriously.

“Iya, first. About four years ago I was like you. But not now, I'm changing my mindset. I don't want to remember those sad times, that's enough time. All I will remember is.. As long as my heart beats and my lungs are still functioning properly, I will continue to believe that one day I can meet him again.” I saw tears dripping from Gavin's eyelids.

“Do not grieve anymore, there is still hope for us.” Brother Gavin wiped his tears while smiling broadly at me.

“Em.” I nodded, then returned Gavin's smile.

The next day when I reached the school and walked through the corridor, from a distance I saw Sasa and Daffa standing in front of my class. I stopped my steps, then sighed for a moment.

“They must have wanted to ask me about yesterday,” I thought. I continued my steps and acted as usual, as if nothing had happened yesterday.

“Hai Ryn,” greet Sasa while smiling at me.

“Hai. You guys been here a long time?” my many.

“No.” Daffa shook his head,

“I mean, we haven't been here long.”

“Then?” my many. Daffa and Sasa exchanged glances for a moment, as if they were giving each other a code.

“What ... are you okay?” Sasa looked at me seriously now.

“You have no problem right Ryn?” continued. Hearing Sasa's question I became speechless.

“I'm fine,” I replied.

“You sure?” ask Daffa to make sure.

“Yakinu. Actually, I look like a troubled person looks like?” candaku while smiling widely.

“No. I feel relieved that you are fine,” replied Sasa.

“Do not hesitate to tell a story if you have a problem, we are your friend Ryn.” Daffa held my shoulder while smiling broadly.

“Iya, I'll tell you if I have a problem. It's just ... for now I can't tell anything to ...” Speech ceased.

“Why?” Daffa cut my sentence.

“Ya, because I have no problem.” I smiled broadly at Sasa and Daffa.

“Oooh,” sahut Daffa understands.

“Kirain why,” he continued.

“You were too quick to cut Ryn's sentence, so you understood it half-and-half. Your habits must be changed, do not like to cut someone else's sentence if you have not finished talking.” Sasa advised.

“Aish, it feels like I'm always wrong.” Daffa muttered half a grumble.

“Crue. You are always wrong, and often careless in doing anything.” Sasa even allowed.

“Hey, already. The login bell reads, don't you guys want to go to class?” I interrupted. Sasa and Daffa became silent after hearing my words.

“Quick back there, and don't fight.” I pushed Sasa and Daffa together.

“Hey, why push me like this? Tega once kicked me out.” Sasa did not accept.

“I don't care,” I said in a joking tone. After seeing Sasa and Daffa further away, I sighed for a moment.

“I'm sorry, but I can't tell you

anything.” I was muttering very slowly.

Long story short, the National exam of class XII has begun. Since these past few days I have decided not to contact Gavin's brother until the exam is over. Fear, if I call him later even disturb his concentration. But apparently, Gavin's brother first contacted me. This morning when I woke up from sleep, I saw my phone lit up with vibrations. When I checked, there was one WA message from Gavin's brother.

“Today I test, you will not give me prayer, or just encourage me? Even these few days you have not contacted me at all.” I smiled, but I felt a little guilty for not contacting him.

“I'm sorry, these few days don't contact Brother. I just don't want to disturb Brother's concentration, ” reply.

“I always give a prayer from here,”.

“Yes, that doesn't mean you have to silence me. But, thank you for praying for me. I'll treat you to a meal after graduation announcement.” Brother Gavin replied to my message.

“Yes, I won't silence Brother anymore. Hopefully the best value yes, and by forgetting the promise of food. Spirit!” I added a smiley face emot in my message.

“Ready,” reply brother Gavin who also added the same emot. Gavin's message ended the conversation this morning.

After two busy days doing clean geladi, and preparing all the needs for the farewell event, finally the day that was waiting for\-waiting arrived.

This morning, I left early because I helped prepare my friends\-friends who will later perform dance art. Arriving at school, it turns out the condition has been crowded by students\-students who came earlier than me. Not to forget the teacher\-teacher who also came early. The parting committee looks busy to there\-here somehow take care of what. Student\-side class XII that has come looks very beautiful, because dress up and wear kebaya suits. Students\-studentnya no less handsome, they wear a tie-dressed black suit and tidying his haircut. The faces of students and students of class XII look very happy. They take advantage of this moment by taking pictures\-photos while joking.

“Wah,” murmured me involuntarily. Since I walked through the corridor, I felt happy to see those who were busy, or see those who would be graduated.

“Ekhm.” A voice from behind shocked me. I turned around to see who surprised me.

“Sister Gavin,” I said when I saw Brother Gavin standing in front of me wearing a black suit in combination with a dark blue tie. I watched from top to bottom for a while, and it looked absolutely perfect. The suit of suit and tie he was wearing was very suitable to stick to his body.

“Hai,” said as he waved his right hand.

“Wah, perfect. Big brother looks very handsome today,” my praise.

“Really? Ls i? I don't think I believe it. Uh, but thanks for complimenting me. And since you said it, I believe.” There was a big smile on Gavin's lips.

“What ... I now look like a Korean artist?” her tanyanya was accompanied by a small laugh.

Hearing her question I felt amused instead, and finally couldn't hold back my laughter.

“I'm serious, why laugh?” Brother Gavin said it while chuckling.

“Looks much better than that,” I replied.

“Atau ... even worse.” I was half thinking.

“Continue, which one is correct?” ask brother Gavin protest.

“I don't know,” I replied while raising both of my shoulders.

“How? Are you relieved after laughing?” suddenly tanyanya.

“A long time ago I did not see you laughing loosely, and only today I can see it again.” Brother Gavin is now saying it in a serious tone.

Hearing Gavin's words, I immediately stopped my laughter.

“I'm glad to see you laughing like this.” Brother Gavin smiled at me while holding both of my shoulders. I glanced towards the right hand of Brother Gavin who was holding my shoulder.

“As long as you can laugh, laugh. Do not you always grieve, because you also need to laugh.” Brother Gavin advised. My eyes suddenly glazed over as I studied each meaning of the word Gavin spoke.

“Em,” I said briefly staring at Brother Gavin. I took a breath while closing my eyes.

“I understand,” I said with a smile. Gavin did not reply, but looked at me with a smile.

“Announcements-announcements. For all students of class XII is expected to immediately gather to the source of the sound to do the photo shoot graduation.” Hearing Mr. Bimo's voice, my situation and that of Gavin's brother became diverted. We became focused on listening to Mr. Bimo's voice through the loudspeaker.

“Once again, for students of class XII, it is expected to immediately gather to the sound source to do a photo shoot graduation, thank you.” Mr. Bimo repeated.

“Looks like I have to go now,” said brother Gavin.

“Iya. I also have to go to class, because I have to help others make preparations for the stage later,”.

“Sunday meet again.” Brother Gavin waved his hand as it passed.

Our conversation ended after Gavin's death. I smiled as Gavin waved his hand at me, and after a long distance I rushed off to class.

The event has begun, the majority of teachers, event organizers, school students and guardians gathered in the hall where the graduation event took place. The event was lively, and many cheers were heard when there was a performance of the drama art from class X IPS.

On one hand I was still busy in the dressing room with my classmate\-friends who would soon be performing on stage, quickly finishing preparations. After finishing the preparations, we rushed towards the hall. Once here it turns out the drama stage is finished, and has changed the show reading the highest score and ranks one to three. Because of the large number of people that filled the hall, so I could only see far from behind.

“Good, because the reading of the rank and the highest grade of the IPS class is finished, then now alternate for the reading of the rank and the highest grade of the MIPA class.” Looking from afar, Indri stood upright on the stage holding a paper containing the data of students who got ranked, while one hand held a microphone.

“Rank to three MIPA classes, achieved by ... Alvaro Argi Naruna with an average score of 7.8.” There were cheers and applause when Alvaro's name was mentioned.

“Then, for the second rank achieved by ... Adara Fredella Ulani with an average score of 8.6.” The sound of cheers and applause came back.

“Dan ... for the last, the first rank of MIPA class, achieved by ...” Ms. Indri stopped her speech, she smiled faintly as she swept her gaze towards the students of XII MIPA class who looked tense and curious.

“First rank, achieved by ... Gavin Pradipa Mahaprana with an average value of 9.4." The voice of Ms Indri was heard calling when reading it.

The cheers and applause sounded more festive than ever before. I who heard it also felt satisfied and happy. Somehow my heart was so overjoyed, as if I were the one who got the ranking.

“For all those who are ranked, please go up on stage with their guardians to receive the gift to be given by the principal,” said bu Indri.

“Let's give a standing ovation to those who excel,” continued bu Indri. A standing ovation accompanied those ranked on the stage with their guard.
