The Part 23
A few days had passed about the incident at the cafe between me and the man in the black hat, also when I dreamed of meeting Kenzhi. However, until now I have entered school, I still imagine\-shadow. Memory is hard to get out of my mind, and it really disturbs my activities every day. Activities at school also became disrupted because I became often daydreaming about the incident.
Since forty-five minutes ago, until now the break bell rang, I was still busy drawing. Actually there was an English lesson, but the teacher did not come, also just gave an assignment. So, it was an empty clock, and I used this time to draw. Don't know why I wanted to draw that guy in the cafe so badly. I remember the hook, it felt exactly the same when I was in Kenzhi's deck. My memory then switched when I dreamed of meeting Kenzhi after that night I went with Alby's sister.
“It feels really real. I feel your embrace in him.” I looked at the picture of the man I now hold. There was a tremor in my chest when I remembered the man's embrace.
“When will you be back Zhi? Should I wait for you in the next life?” I muttered very slowly, barely audible.
“Hai Ryn.” I saw Sasa and Daffa coming towards me.
“Hai,” sahutku.
“Let's go to the canteen?” bring Sasa. There was a big smile on his lips.
“You two came? What ... have you guys improved?” many ensure.
“We've improved.” Sasa nodded.
“Dan .. it's thanks to you. If at that time you did not give me advice, maybe I still did not get better with him.” Daffa now glanced towards Sasa.
“Wah, thank goodness. I'm happy for you both.” I smiled at Sasa and Daffa.
“Eh, wait. How's the story you guys got better?” manya curious. Sasa and Daffa exchanged glances, as if to code each other.
“She left her fiance for me,” replied Sasa accompanied with a satisfied smile.
“Daf ...” I glanced at Daffa.
“Yes, that's it. His position cannot be replaced by anyone. He didn't let me stop for a second not to think about it. I can't if it has to be far from him, he's like a jewel that captivates the heart.” There was a serious tone in every word that Daffa spoke. Meanwhile, Sasa was seen smiling happily hearing her.
“Wah, what is this expression of feeling?” my tease. Daffa looked at Sasa with a big smile, as if asking Sasa who interpreted the words he said. But Sasa did not answer him, he just smiled shyly. His cheeks also turned slowly.
“No need to be wired, I already understand now,” said I who understand the situation.
“Now you are being brave huh?” I smiled slightly at Daffa.
“I just follow your advice. Anyway, I can't stay silent forever. The time will come for me to dare to fight fear.” Daffa returned my smile.
“True. I agree with you Daf,”.
“Eh, whose picture is this?” Sasa snatched the picture of the man in the cafe back then who was now in my hands. He looked at the picture, followed by Daffa.
“Nobody.” I quickly snatched the picture in Sasa's hands.
“This is just a regular picture.” I rolled up the picture I was holding. Not because I can't see it, but I don't want them to ask me much about this picture.
“Uwuuu, looks like someone special.” Sasa glanced at me with a seductive glance.
“Ah, no. It's just a doodle.” I'm trying to give you an excuse.
“What is ... Brother Gavin?” Sasa now looked at me closer, his lips smiling widely.
“A ... What?” I was surprised when I heard Sasa's question.
“Really?” Sasa raised his eyebrows next to her.
“No. I mean, wrong. This is not a picture of Gavin,” I replied.
“Yang right? Lately you guys have been very close.” Sasa looked suspicious.
“True, I'm not lying. This is not a picture of him, but of someone else. Me and brother Gavin are just friends.” I'm trying to explain.
“Then ... who is the other person?” ask Sasa.
“Nobody. I told you, it's just an ordinary doodle. I don't know, if my picture is like this.” I gave an explanation to Sasa.
“You're like a reporter, glad to interview.” I lodged a protest, and Sasa even snickered.
“Aish. If we keep talking, when do we go to the cafeteria? The break is almost over.” Daffa glanced towards the watch in his hand.
“Daffa true. Let's hurry to the cafeteria,” connect me, then put my drawing paper in the drawer.
“Iya, come.” Sasa held Daffa's arm and walked a step ahead of me. When I saw Sasa and Daffa I felt jealous. They had found a happy spot, while I, now, lost track of the point that led me to the happy path.
“No, no. I can't think bad. I'm sure Kenzhi's alive, he's not dead. I'll be the first to find it, I promise, my inner”. I sighed for a moment, trying to expel my bad thoughts about Kenzhi that suddenly appeared.
After walking through a long corridor, finally arrived at the canteen. The atmosphere is still crowded with students who eat in the cafeteria, or just hang out.
“It ...” I stopped muttering when I saw the table Sasa pointed at. It was the place of my faforit, Sasa, Daffa, and Kenzhi. Since Kenzhi's departure, I've never sat there again. Moreover, his circumstances have changed. Sasa and Daffa quarrel, and then break up. As for me, I spend more time resting in the library, or in class. If I go to the cafeteria with Sasa, I choose another seat.
“Ayo.” Sasa pulled my arm.
“Iya,” sahutku. Me, Sasa, and Daffa sat in a circle facing the table.
“What do you want to eat Ryn?” ask Sasa.
“I ... same with you,” I replied.
“Em, yes, alright.” Sasa smiled at me.
“Bu, order the meatballs three yes.” Sasa half-cried while raising his right hand.
“Iya, wait a minute.” The canteen guard's mother confirmed Sasa's order.
“You can order anything, as satisfied as you. Later, Daffa paid.” Sasa pointed at Daffa with his single mother accompanied by a smile.
“I?” Daffa seemed surprised to hear it.
“What should I? I can't believe, it turns out you're so stingy.” Sasa put on a pouting face.
“I just asked, what's wrong?” Daffa showed a flat expression.
“Fixed wrong!” Sasa did not accept.
“You concluded too quickly. Now ... also add labil.” Daffa protested.
“Let's go,” replied Sasa cuek.
“Kenzhi,” my murmur was barely heard when I saw Kenzhi sitting next to me wearing a gray white uniform. She looked at me with a big smile that revealed a happy hue.
“Ryn, let's eat. The meatball has come,” invite Sasa who sounds surprising to me. My attention now shifted towards the meatballs that were in front of me.
“Ah, yes. Let's eat,”.
“I miss you.” I stopped pouring soy sauce into my meatball bowl when I heard a whispering voice. His voice sounded like Kenzhi's.
“Why Ryn?” ask Sasa astonished.
“Eh, no. There is nothing.” I smiled at Sasa while putting the ketchup bottle on the table.
“Let's eat,” take me.
“Come!” sahut Sasa half-call.
“I miss you, really miss you.” I did not put meatballs in my mouth when I heard another whisper. Now, the whisper sounded louder and felt into the heart.
“Kenzhi, my inner” when I saw Kenzhi sitting next to me with glazed eyes as if hinting at something.
“I miss you.” There was a tremor in my body when I saw Kenzhi saying it steadily. Her tears seemed to be dripping down her cheeks. I feel like I'm getting too full, there's the same feeling right now in me.
“I can't. I ... I can't.” I got up from my seat and left just like that to leave Daffa and Sasa who were eating.
“Ryn,” called Sasa and Daffa half-call, but I ignored them. I sped up my pace, you could even say running. My tears didn't feel soaked on my cheeks, and I wiped them occasionally. As it turned past the intersection, I felt someone's hand holding my body back to continue moving forward.
“Sister Gavin,” muttered when I saw the figure of the person holding me back. He did not answer, but instead pulled me and took me to the rooftop of the school. His hand held tightly to my wrist.
“Say, why are you crying?” ask when we get to the roof. His eyes were seriously staring at me.
“What makes you sad?” continued. She looked at me closer, her hands wiping away my tears that kept on sinking.
“Kakak.” I hugged Brother Gavin tightly, my crying voice could not hold me anymore. Brother Gavin patted the back slowly trying to give it some calm.
“Don't cry, I'm here. I'm there for you,”. After a while, Brother Gavin took off my embrace, he wiped my tears and invited me to sit on the edge.
“Say, what makes you sad? Why are you crying like this?” Gavin looks worried.
“What is Yelena?” continued.
“No, it's not because of Yelena. It's my own problem, it has nothing to do with anyone else.” My tears welled up, and I wiped them slowly.
“Then what? Someone hurt you?” ask again.
“Why ... does love hurt? I just kept feeling the pain when I remembered it, it hurt so much. I can't stop thinking about it for a second. He's gone too far in my heart, but I can't see him. And this .. This is all my fault. I was guilty from the beginning, if I had been honest, it wouldn't have been like this. I could see him again, and spend time with him. But in fact I'm selfish, I only think about myself, and not with his feelings.” I cried again, and I used both of my hands to cover my face. Gavin's brother's hand grabbed me, so far I've been leaning on him.
“No, you are not wrong. I understand your feelings, because I also once liked without daring to be frank. I've felt it, and all this because it's a fate line, not our will. As long as my heart beats, and my lungs are still functioning properly, I will continue to believe that one day I can meet him again. Likewise with you, our lives continue, and along with that life our love will continue to grow and get bigger. Until ... one day we find the owner of our love.” Brother Gavin said it in a serious tone.
