28. I Can Without You

This afternoon Awan intends to surprise Shofi by picking him up after work without informing Shofi first. But, in addition, actually Awan also wanted to talk about the problem of his meeting with Bayu at Keinan school earlier to Shofi. That's why he intends to pick up Shofi as he is today.

But unfortunately, from a distance Awan could see Bayu who had first confronted and met Shofi once Shofi out of the parking lot of the SR Group office.

The cloud then also props up his motorcycle, following Shofi and Bayu from behind silently. Instead of not believing in Shofi, Awan just want to just be on guard so that things do not happen that are not desirable to his future wife.

"Shofi," call Bayu while blocking the motorcycle driven by Shofi.

Shofi who had just come out of the parking lot of SR Group's office immediately stopped his motorcycle and was so surprised to see Bayu who was now in front of him.

"Hi, Shofi," said Bayu with a smile.

Shofi was still pecking on his motorcycle with a stiffened body and two rounded eyes in shock.

It never occurred to Shofi that she would be reunited with Bayu, her ex-husband.

"How are you, Shofi?" ask Bayu.

Shofi jerks. Awakening from his surprise. As powerful as his energy, Shofi tried to control himself. Taking a deep breath, Shofi tried to strengthen his heart.

"What did you come here for?" shofi asked with a flat tone of voice and a face that turned towards the side.

Bayu gasp. Shofi's attitude was this cold towards him. Even to just look at his face, Shofi seemed reluctant. Ah, but Bayu can't blame Shofi either. He was guilty of Shofi. So it's only natural that Shofi behaves like this to her.

"I want to talk to you, Shofi," Bayu replied with a smile.

"I'm sorry, but there's nothing we need to talk about" Shofi said.

"Please, Shofi. I just want to talk to you. Or do you want me to come to your house and we'll talk there?"

"Don't" Shofi refused quickly, staring intently at Bayu.

Bayu returned to smile. It turns out that Shofi's nature is still the same as it used to be, not wanting to involve the family in the problems he faced. It was Shofi's independence that first attracted Bayu's attention. So Bayu finally decided to approach Shofi at that time.

"So where are we going to talk? We're all looking for food, what do you think?" tawar Bayu's.

"no need. We're talking in a park near here. Follow me!"

Shofi then immediately runs his motorcycle back. Bayu also rushes to get into his car and follows Shofi's motorcycle from behind.

Shofi invites Bayu to the city park located not far from the SR Group. Shofi then chooses to sit in a fairly crowded garden chair to talk to Bayu. Avoiding the emergence of slander and unwanted things of course.

"Just say, what do you want to talk about?" shofi asked firmly by looking towards the front.

From where he stands now, Awan can still hear Shofi's voice even if it's a little slow.

"How are you doing now?" ask Bayu.

"Well," Shofi replied briefly.

"If Keinan?"

"He's good too."

"I heard from mom that you're getting married again."

"Yes." Yeah."

Bayu set out slowly. Shofi always answered his questions briefly. It seems that Shofi is reluctant to talk to him.

"I'm sorry for everything that happened, Shofi. I'm really sorry for involving you in my life. I'm sorry that I made you my escape from my lost love back then" Bayu said regretfully.

Shofi. There is a sense of tightness that Shofi felt when he heard Bayu back to remind himself of the dark events of the past. Shofi was silent, but in his heart he was trying to temper his feelings that were beginning to flare up again.

"I admit I was guilty of abandoning you and Keinan first. But I beg of you Shofi, please let Keinan know me as his real father" pinta Bayu.

Shofi gasped to hear the words of the Bayu. Yes, it is true that all this time Shofi never introduced Keinan to the figure of Bayu as his biological father. Shofi knows it's wrong, but Shofi just wants to keep his own heart. And also keep Keinan's heart from feeling disappointed.

"So I came to Keinan's school when he came home. But he doesn't recognize me as his real father. And honestly it makes my heart feel pain. Especially when your new husband-to-be comes and Keinan calls him 'Papa Awan'. My heart felt even more pain when I saw Keinan running and hugging the man. I was his real father. But why is it that someone else called Papa and embraced affectionately by my own son" Bayu lamented.

Shofi smiled wryly.

"What did you expect?"

"At least tell Keinan that I'm his real father. I miss my son too. But even hugging him I can't. He doesn't recognize me as his own real father" Bayu lamented again.

"Yes. I did not intentionally introduce Keinan to his own biological father. Because I want to forget all those bad memories of the past. I want to start my new life with Keinan, with no shadow of the past" Shofi said.

"But that's not fair to me, Shofi. I'm Keinan's real father" Bayu protested.

From where he stood now, the clouds clenched both of his hands. He also felt the emotion of hearing Bayu's demanding words, after all this time he left Shofi and Keinan.

"Then why? Wasn't it you yourself who decided to go and leave me as well as Keinan who was a baby? In fact, you also immediately married another woman and went abroad. Then why should I introduce Keinan to a 'father' that he can't even meet? Wh-wh-what for? What reason should I give Keinan if he wants to meet his father but can't because his father doesn't live in Indonesia anymore? What reason should I say?"

Now it was Bayu's turn to hear all the words of Shofi. Yes, everything Shofi said was true. Bayu also admitted that he was guilty.

"I can without you. Keinan and I can survive without you in our lives" Shofi said, staring intently at Bayu.
