HIM, MY BEST FRIEND

HIM, MY BEST FRIEND
Good bye

The clock has shown at 19:50 WIB. Kurnia, Nina, Dewi and Ahmad who have arrived since the magrib, are still accompanying me chatting.

I'll be leaving soon. Kak Hali, my brother is just a puppet that will accompany me to Malang. He asked for a few days off from his job so that all my business there was done.

I couldn't help but cry when I had to say goodbye to two old figures who had nurtured me since childhood.

"Grandfather, doain Riri yes, let Riri smoothly lecture. Let Riri be happy with Grandpa and Grandma later," I cried while kissing Grandpa's hand that I love so much. The hand that always rubs my hair gently and reminds me of the harshness of the world.

Grandfather did not say a word. Only tears are the answer.

"Miss, sorry Riri yes, if all this time Riri always ngerepotin Granny and Grandpa. Riri promised to make Grandma proud of Riri." I tightly embraced the old body that had replaced my Mama's role since I was seven.

Grandma just rubbed my hair.

"Be careful, Ri. Take good care of yourself. Watch your behavior. Keep your manners. You want to go to people's places. Where the earth is treaded, there the heavens are held in high esteem," Grandmother advised.

"Om," I turned to Kurnia, "nitip Grandpa and Grandma, yes. Play here often, Grandpa plays chess."

"Yes, Ri. Insha'allah. I'll stop by here often."

I trust him a lot. Even my Grandpa and Grandma had already considered Kurnia and Harry like their own grandchildren. Yeah, Kurnia and Harry...

"I really want to hug you, Om. But I don't think it's okay, tar Fitri is craving me" I said with a small laugh between the sobs. "Greet him to the other PMR kids, yeah." I thrust out my fist to snag as we used to.

I moved on to Nina. I tightly embraced the hijab girl. Longtime. Nina's been with me since the 10th grade. We're very close. To me, he's no longer just a friend, he's like my brother. It was hard to say goodbye to him.

"Tell me often yes, Ri," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Surely, Nin."

There is no need for words to express my love for her. He knows how much I love him.

As soon as I let go of my embrace from Nina, the Goddess immediately burst into my arms.

"Be careful there, Ri. Don't forget me, "The goddess shed her tears on my shoulder.

"Yes, Wi. Take care of yourself too, yes. You must be strong. Rest assured, later you will be proud of yourself," I said as I stroked his back. Finally the Goddess took off her embrace.

It was hard to step away from the house I grew up in even though it was to pursue ideals. Once again I kissed the hands of the parents who had raised me. I said my regards and immediately walked away without looking back. My tears fell unstoppably.

Kak Hali and Ahmad immediately followed my steps. Half-run, Ahmad chased me. He thrust out his blue handkerchief to wipe my tears. I put my shoulder to calm me down.

The back door of the car for Kak Hali. He opened the front door to the left for me. Immediately put my carrier in the trunk and then he sat behind the wheel.

The awkward atmosphere was felt in the car. No one said a word.

"Cum, Ri. Later if you have been on the train, tell me, yes. Whatever time it is. Although I might read it in the morning" finally Ahmad said.

"Yes" I replied briefly.

It only took us 30 minutes to get to the train station, because it was not too far from home. Our journey is also over. Ahmad opened the trunk and took out my luggage. He helped me bring my brother's travel bag.

The three of us sat in the waiting room seats for the prospective passengers and the introduction. Our train is coming in less than three hours. We were only able to get on the platform an hour before our train arrived. Kak Hali who was reading the situation, hurriedly opened her phone screen and pretended to be busy.

Ahmad suddenly clasped my finger.

"Ri, if only...."

"Don't use the suppositions, Mad. You know, if the word 'anda' is the entrance of the devil into our hearts," as I.

"I...."

"You want to say you love me, right?" i smile. "Thank you, Mad. If indeed we are a match, no matter how far I go, I will definitely return with you. But if it turns out we're not a match, no matter how hard we try, we'll never be together."

Ahmad took a long breath.

"Thank you, Mad. I really appreciate it" I stacked my hands on her hands that were holding mine. "You know, I'm proud to have liked you for over a year. You deserve to be liked. There's so much that's interesting about you, Mad."

"Then, am I still the same in your eyes?"

I can't answer it.

"You're a really good guy. Soon you must be a good girl and soon forget me" I said.

There was no sound between us for a while.

"Udah, go home. It's malem," I remember.

"I can't wait until the train arrives, can I?" tanyakanya.

"No!" my firmness. "You'll be worried parents, you know."

With a heavy heart, he moved out of his chair.

"Be careful, yeah. I love you" whispered Ahmad. "Sister, Rinjani's nitip, yes," said Ahmad while kissing Kak Hali's hand to say goodbye.

"I'll take care of dong, Madame. I'm her brother" Kak Hali laughed at Ahmad's pinta.

Ahmad waved his hand and started walking away. I saw his back that was getting smaller.

Sometimes what we want is not always what we get. When I loved her so much, she just considered me a star in the sky. There was never any intention in his heart to reach me. And when my love had run out for her, she offered me a lot of love.

"One more person" my brother quipped. "How many guys are you the same?"

"I wasn't all that time, brother. Not all guys can tease me like that. I have the same Ahmad as well because I have liked him for a long time. The others are the same as Kurnia."

"Harry?"

"Don't talk about it" I said sniffly.

"No need to boong. I know how you feel."

We spent two hours talking about a lot of things. Although often interspersed with yawning.

Finally the loudspeakers told us that the prospective passengers of the train we were going to ride could begin to enter the platform. We queued up while showing us the identification cards and tickets we had.

Not long after, the train arrived. We immediately entered the carriage corresponding to our ticket. Immediately I raise my carrier and Kak Hali's travel bag to the goods storage above our heads.

I sat by the window. I see people still passing by out there. It was past midnight, but the atmosphere at the station was still bustling. Prospective passengers rushed to board their respective cars because the train will leave soon.

Suddenly my eyes caught a body running among the people outside the platform. The man was detained by the officers on duty at the check-up. He was seen arguing with the officer.

The whistle of the sign of the train going along sounded loud. I'm still watching the people at the checkpoint. How surprised I was, when I saw the person who had intended to break through the checkpoint. He looks a lot like Harry.

"Geez, he stuck it in my brain until everyone looked so rich" I said in my heart. I smiled smirk.

Something impossible if Harry was here. What's he want? It's past midnight anyway.

I put my head on the chair and closed my eyes. I made up my mind to forget all my memories with Harry, because that was my main reason to go far away from here.

Good bye, Harry.

Goodbye to all memories.

I'll leave all my race for you here.

Goodby.
