Part 62 PLANS TO RETURN HOME
"It's never going to happen, Baras. Before you claim my divorce, I'll make sure you're in my hands!" mencam Galang's. The man's hand was clenched pointing at Laras' face.
"Try it if you can!" taunted. He instead challenged the man because his heart was already completely closed. Whatever the reason, Galang's marriage to Nadine was a great betrayal for Laras.
"Now you've dared to challenge me, huh? If you dare to continue your intentions, you will bear the consequences later, Laras!"
Galang stared intently at Laras, then left the place. Laras sighed and sat back down on a long bench, under the dim lighting of the garden lights.
"This is already at the limit of our relationship, already at the limit of my patience. This pain has eroded away the love that is still left," said Laras in his heart.
He leaned against the bench, spread out his hands and closed his eyes. The cold air is piercing. The night was getting late, but Laras was still there. The woman was engrossed in daydreams, until unconsciously when a pair of sturdy hands coiled around her neck.
Barrel jerked in surprise. The body that seemed to be warmed by the flow of electricity forced him to open his eyes.
"Ale" he said softly. Spontaneous Baras put away the sturdy hand that was coiled around his neck.
"Sorry." The man sat beside her. His eyes looked at Laras gently. "I heard all your talk with Galang just now."
"You always know anything about me without me telling you," said Laras.
"If you really want to take care of your divorce with Galang, I give permission no matter how many days you want," said Nalendra. He changed his seat with his legs crossed.
"really?" Laras looked at Nalendra's face with sparkling eyes.
"thank you. You always know what I need" Laras said as the man nodded his head.
"I thank you for being friends with me." Nalendra grabbed that smooth hand, then grasped it tightly.
"From now on, don't hide anything from me. Whatever it is, tell it. I'll help you!"
"I don't want to trouble you, Ale. I am your assistant. The job of the assistant is to help the boss, not the boss who helps the assistant" said Laras.
"If outside of working hours, we are friends" continued Nalendra.
"I never felt bothered. If you want, I can take you home. Or how about I tell my men to drive you home?" nalendra Tawal.
"May also." Baras responded with his sweet smile. That sweet smile that felt electrifying to the man sitting next to her.
Laras brought his leg back into the room after Nalendra left a while ago.
Carefully open the door, then rush inside. He put his body in bed.
Facing two different men of character made him feel tired.
As a woman, she understood the meaning of Nalendra's concern. Nadine's statement just now was true. Nalendra liked it. But he didn't want to think about it. The focus is only on the process of divorce with Galang.
He needs Nalendra's help at this time in order to return home safely, without interference from Galang or anyone who does not want this divorce.
"I must move quickly before Mas Galang orders his men to block me" murmured Laras.
The woman immediately grabbed her phone, then clicked on the instant messaging application.
"Hopefully Ale hasn't slept and read my chat, because I want to go home tomorrow morning" Laras said in his heart.
A few tens of seconds later the tick turns blue. Laras heaved a sigh of relief.
The woman got out of bed, she took a sling bag, filled it with some valuables. The barrel deliberately does not carry clothes. He did not want his departure to arouse suspicion especially for Galang. The whole house does not need to know where he is going, except of course Nalendra.
His phone vibrated again indicating that a message was coming in. Baras reopened his phone.
[Tomorrow morning we go to work as usual. Later in the middle of the road, you change cars and my people will take you home to the village. No need to bring stuff. Hide your little bag in your briefcase as usual. Understood?]
