HE'S MY HUSBAND TOO
Part 110 I MISSED YOU

Alex arrived at Galang's apartment half an hour after calling his boss. Galang welcomed the arrival of Alex who looked anxious.

"What's wrong?"

"I've found evidence of why investors are withdrawing their funds." Alex looked at Galang seriously.

"It turns out that in addition to the money embezzled by Martin and Mrs Ningsih, the investors deliberately withdrew their funds due to the interference of your wife's family."

"What's? You mean the Chandra family is behind all this?" Galang was very surprised because he did not think that the Chandra family was also involved in the destruction of his restaurant business.

"It is fitting that almost all investors withdraw. They must be afraid of the Chandra family."

Alex nodded in confirming.

"You know very well that your in-laws are very influential businessmen in this country, right?"

"You're right, Alex. I'm just shocked. They seem to be very angry with me. As of now, I can't even see Nadine anymore."

Alex patted Galang's shoulder while taking a deep breath.

"Patience."

Galang.

"Maybe this is a reply from God for me because I once wasted people as good as Laras," said Galang lirih, but can still be heard by Alex.

"I should have trusted him more instead of believing in my family who were just using me." Galang took a long breath.

"Do you know what, Alex?" Galang looked at his personal assistant with a sad face.

"I just found out, if the figure of the woman I always respected and loved turned out she was not my real mother."

"What's? Meanin?"

"Ningsih was not my mother. Turns out she was the woman who caused the death of the mother who gave birth to me."

Alex was surprised to hear Galang's words.

"It's appropriate that all this time he acted arbitrarily without thinking about the consequences that you will bear," said Alex slowly.

"You're right. Maybe that's also one of the reasons why he's so easy to embezzle the restaurant's money." Galang looked down while squeezing his hair rough.

After the departure of Laras, trials after trials continue to befall him.

"Today some of your restaurants are back inoperability."

"Why again?" Galang looked at his assistant with a face that looked stressed.

"Many unpaid employees. They're on strike."

"Yes, God ...." Galang pinched his head which felt pulsating.

"Is there hope even if it's small?"

"Looks not. We have to get some investors' money back and pay the employees' salaries."

"The only way, you have to sell all your assets to pay all your debts!"

"Everything?" He stared at Alex in disbelief.

Galang breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm totally devastated this time, Lex. I didn't expect that I would be ruined at the hands of my own family." He looked down with regret.

"Everything's happened. We can't do anything else but solve all these problems. You don't want to be in jail, do you?"

"I'd rather lose everything than be in jail. Anyway, I still have to take responsibility for Nadine."

"You're right. Even though she will no longer accept you as her husband, you will have to stick around. For your son's sake."

Galang nodded in understanding.

"Thank you, Alex."

"Hm ...."

Nadine rubbed her stomach which had started to bulge. The woman repeatedly stared at the gate from the balcony of her house.

Did he not come again today?

Nadine looks agitated. Usually every morning he saw Galang standing in front of the gate while looking at him. Both of his parents forbade Galang to meet him.

He also did not want to meet that man at all. However, her love and pregnancy hormones made her miss her husband.

"Your father didn't come again today, honey. It's okay Dad, maybe papa you're busy." Nadine rubbed her tummy again because the baby kicked in her stomach.

Nadine smiled faintly, her tears flowing, feeling the sadness in her heart.

She should be happy with her beloved husband while she awaits the birth of their child. But fate says something else.

Why do we have to be found when we end up hurting each other?

The woman was crying. His gaze shifted on his phone ringing. Seeing who was calling was someone she was waiting for, a faint smile on her sweet lips.

Despite the heartache, still, his immense love overcame his ego.

"Finally your dad called, honey," said Nadine, wiping her stomach.

Nadine's hauling her phone calls.

"Darling, sorry! I can't go to your house today. I have a lot of work to do." Galang's voice greeted Nadine's hearing.

"I missed you. Can I see you and our son through the cell phone screen? I really miss you."

"Darling ...."
