Part 60 CURIOUS

"Clearned!"

The barrel that was about to get up from his seat immediately stopped, as Nadine's voice was heard greeting her hearing.

While Galang looks surprised. The man let go of his embrace on Nadine. His gaze immediately led to Baras who looked nervous.

"Laras, are you here too?" Laras smiled awkwardly at Nadine's words.

"I'm here every night, Miss."

"really?"

"Yes, Miss. I like to relax for a while here, while relieving fatigue after working all day," explained Laras with a smile.

Galang watched Laras with an unreadable look.

'Did he be here since?'

"Do you like flowers?" Nadine looked at Laras with a sparkle.

"Yes, Miss. I like flowers. When I was in the village, my husband and I really like to take care of flowers and other ornamental plants," explained Laras without paying attention to Galang at all.

"His husband? So you're married?"

Laras smiled, the tail of his eyes glancing towards Galang who looked nervous.

"Well, you're not married. Though I have a plan to mate you with Ale." Nadine looked at Laras disappointedly, while Laras looked surprised.

"Make me betrothed to Mr Nalendra? Miss, did I not hear wrong?" Barrel smiled awkwardly.

"No, you didn't hear me wrong. You two are a good couple. Ale likes you a lot too. Isn't that right, honey?" Nadine looked towards Galang who looked surprised to hear his wife's words.

'What the fuck? Did Nadine mean to match Laras with Nalendra?' Galang clenched his hand. The tail of his eyes glanced towards Laras who looked smiling.

"Dear, right, right what I said? They are a very suitable couple. But baby, it turns out Laras is married." Nadine pursed her lips.

"Honey, it's night, we should go inside" said Galang to divert the conversation. The man stroked Nadine's hair.

"Awhile more. I still want to be here, want to talk to Laras." Nadine looked at her husband spoiledly.

"Darling"

"I'm curious to know who Laras' husband is. I'm sure her husband must be handsome, because Laras, isn't she very pretty?" cut off Nadine before Galang continued his words. While both hands grabbed the hand of Laras.

While the two people in front of him were looking at each other without Nadine noticing.

"Come, Baras! Tell me about your husband!" Nadine pulled Laras' hand back to sit down.

"I just want to hear Laras tell me about her husband. I'm curious."

"Keep that curiosity of yours for tomorrow. You can ask Laras about her husband tomorrow morning. Right, right, Laras?" Galang stared at Laras sharply.

"Yes, Sir." Laras also no less sharply staring at Galang.

"You heard it yourself, didn't you, honey? Tomorrow morning you can ask Laras as much. Now you rest first, yuk! It's already night time. You forget that you are pregnant?" Galang rubbed Nadine's stomach which still looks flat.

"I forgot that I'm pregnant now." Nadine rubbed her stomach while smiling towards Galang.

"I'm sorry." Nadine looks sorry.

Galang nodded his head, rubbing Nadine's head. The woman then hugged him.

"I'm sorry."

"Yes, Honey. Now we go inside the yuk!" Nadine nodded, according to hearing Galang's words.

Before leaving, Nadine first said goodbye to Laras who was still standing with a smile.

Barrel sat back down, exhaling a long breath. The woman patted her chest which felt tight. Cursed in the heart because after a long time, it turns out the pain is still felt.

'Egoistical grounds! You love her so much, but you won't let me go!'

Baras rubbed his face rough.

'If Miss Nadine knew that Mas Galang was my husband, would Miss still be nice to me?'

For Laras, Nadine is a very good woman. Although he was from a rich family, but Nadine never acted arrogant. Nadine is a very innocent and kind woman. Therefore he did not know the secret that was kept by Galang and his family.

Perhaps, because of his great love for Mas Galang, to make him forget to investigate who Galang really is. Though Nadine and her family have great power to investigate Galang before they get married. Just like Nalendra who so easily knows his past life with Galang.

'Did Mr Chandra and Mrs Aline never find out all about Mas Galang? Did they trust the man so much that they had no intention of investigating him first?'

The Reverie of Laras collapsed instantly when suddenly a large hand pulled him violently, then carried him to a dark place behind the mansion.

Laras did not have time to shout, the figure immediately attacked him by silencing Laras' mouth with his lips.
