He Is Not My Brother's

He Is Not My Brother's
Jimmi

The girl continued walking down the dark village road. Occasionally a bat flies over his head. His face reflects worry. He looked at the black watch in his hand. He repeatedly wiped his tears before falling off his cheek. The watch showed exactly at six in the afternoon. The drizzle began to wet the earth.

A blue light flashed in the sky. Then followed by a terrible roar. Winds gusting from the west. The trees on the side of the road swayed. A 19-year-old man was running in the rain. Although he looked tired and in pain but his legs continued to be forced to go faster and faster. Sometimes he grimaces in pain. His school uniform is so dirty and dirty. He continued to step, until the tip of his eye caught the shadow of someone far in front of him.

"Amy?" muttered.

He continued to accelerate his pace chasing someone ahead. When he managed to convince himself that the man was indeed the one he was looking for, he shouted, "Amy!"

The girl stopped her steps as someone vaguely called out to her. He looked to the left and right. There's no one. Just a bunch of swaying trees and a dancing cornfield.

The second scream sounded. This time he looked back. Eyes rounded. His hands were trembling holding that cracked watch. For a moment he nodded. But in a hurry he approached the figure. Unconcerned by the wind that brought thousands of water droplets down his face.

"M. .. Are you okay?" ask the girl named Amy.

He immediately hugged his brother. Her tears are spilling again. There's a feeling of pleasure because he didn't lose the guy. But he was also worried about his situation.

The guy called M was gently stroking his sister's hair. She knows Amy's worried. He went to the school roof to pick her up. But the one he met was two other people who said Amy had come out a while ago. Thank goodness she met her sister at this time.

"What's going on?" amy asked without letting go of her embrace. "You hurt?"

"I'll tell you at home later. Now we go home."

Along the way, M turned back what had happened this morning on his head. A large group of Burhan High School students guard the main door and side door of the school, then some of them enter and begin to damage the school garden. One of them hit one of the Eagle disciples and asked for the whereabouts of someone.

When M was about to be hit, the guy dodged. This made the person furious and attacked many times. Suddenly from the direction of the school gate, some people ran dodging the blows of Burhan's students.

Seeing that, M and his friend, Jimmi, immediately avoid the group of people. But they were caught in the middle of an unbalanced fight. The Burhan students equip themselves with blocks, chains, and folding knives. Seeing that, the Eagle students ran to the classroom and threw benches as well as tables to fight them.

M did not remain silent even with empty hands. Violence will not provide the best solution but if he does not fight now, he could die so easily.

When M faces someone holding a long chain, the chain strand hits his left hand until the watch is removed. He didn't know what was going on, but all of a sudden his assailants started to wane. The sound of a firearm eruption managed to stop the brawl.

"So, was that brother from the police station?" ask Amy who has that shoulder-length hair. He treated M's left hand with a drug containing iodine.

"Yes. Just asked for information. The police will fully investigate who and what caused this attack."

"By the way, how do the cops know, huh?"

"One of our teachers called the police station so saw a lot of foreign students outside the gate who wouldn't let anyone in."

Amy nodded. "It looks like brother should rest at home for a few days."

"It looks so." M looked at the mirror and found some bruises on the face. In addition, his hands and feet also hurt because of swelling.

"Well .. now we sleep. I can, can't I sleep here?"

M looked at his sister's face for a moment, but then smiled. Amy would always be if M was sick.

************

The sun was about to sink when Amy asked her sister for permission to watch an art show at the village hall. Actually M objected because he could not escort Amy as usual. He still has to rest a few days. However, seeing his sister who whined since then finally collapsed as well.

"Well .. but don't come home after ten."

"Ready, Sir!" Amy stands tall and respectful like a soldier who gets orders from his superiors. M just smiled a little at the behavior of his sister.

At six o'clock and fifty minutes Amy left with Sifa, Val and Lewis. They walked eastward, over a small bridge made of a coconut tree and followed the rice field before arriving at the fork in the road. The left direction leads to the next village and the right direction towards the village hall. They took the left.

"Hey ... Amy! I wonder if M really lets you see this music show?" Lewis asked after not how long they had turned. The curly-haired guy knew exactly all along that M had always been escorting Amy to events like this.

Amy giggled a little, "I said I'd watch an art show at the village office."

"You lied to M?" ask Val not to believe it.

"That's not very important. Kan, M won't know." Sifa.

It was not long before they were in the field. A large enough stage was built on the north side of the field. A band is playing a song on it. Along the way many merchants sell on the sidelines. There were a lot of people in front of the stage. They are jostling to try to be at the very front.

Lewis soon mingled with his boy friend. Sifa looked around. The girl wearing the black shirt and the knee-length tights squinted her eyes. A flap-haired man swung his arm towards Sifa.

"Guys .. I went there first, yeah!" sifa shouted towards the haircut.

Amy looked at Val. Hope that girl doesn't make a deal with anyone. However, from the signs indeed Val will not go away leaving him.

Val doesn't know what he's going to do but stay with Amy. He actually came because he thought M would come along. Val secretly likes Amy's handsome and popular sister.

"So .. What do we want?" ask Val. He crossed his arms on his chest.

"Actually I want to eat chicken noodles," Amy replied, staring at a woman who was busy eating a bowl of chicken noodles.

"Well ... let's go there!" Val pulls Amy's hand and they head to the chicken noodle dealer who parks his wagon on the east side of the field.

"Do you really want to see that show?" Amy asked Val who was stirring the noodles with her chopsticks.

"What do you mean?" Val feels cornered. Of course he's here to be with M, right? It's not because there are famous bands who want to perform here.

"Actually I came here just to taste snacks here. Besides, M said I should go home in under ten" explains Amy, who sips her noodles.

"Mmm .. I do too." Val smiles as sensually as possible. He did not want to look unconvincing and made Amy ask questions. He added sambal to the noodles in his bowl and then ate it until it ran out.

"I'm done. Uh... Don't you want a grilled sausage?" ask Val

Amy's eyes sparkled with her best friend's thoughts. After drinking the noodle soup, they both bought grilled sausage and sat on the sidewalk a bit away from the field. Several men crossed them and one in a white jacket approached.

"Hi ..." said the white guy.

Amy and Val can't believe who greeted them. That guy is Tata. He is a huge fan of Val. Several times Val refused the handsome guy. But Tata never gave up.

"Mmm... Can we talk four-eyes, Val?"

Val knows for sure Tata will express her feelings again. Val glanced at Amy who was putting a sausage in her mouth. Amy just raised her shoulders and eyebrows. Val doesn't want to talk to Tata, but he can't refuse either.

"I won't be long" he told Amy. Val followed Tata from behind.

"Nrt ...." Amy said softly.

"Well ... What are you doing?" a voice shocked Amy who was looking at the people on the field.

"Eh ... You?" Amy's face was a little pale.

"Who do you think you are?" the guy sat next to Amy. He watched Amy from top to bottom.

" Eh. .. What did you see, Jimm?"

"Look at you," replied the man flatly.

Amy put her hand in her jacket pocket. He started to worry. Not to worry about Val, but to worry about Jimmi, the guy sitting next to her. Jimmi is M's best friend. He must have told M this meeting. He will be caught lying. Amy doesn't want to let her sister down. M believed it.

"What is alone here?"

"I'm not alone, I'm with Val" Amy replied as calmly as possible.

"Didn't she have Tata brought home?"

"Times?!" Amy almost screamed. "Can't be. He said he'd come back here, by the way."

"He's gone home. I met them at the junction."

"Then ... Who am I going home with?"

"With me." Jimmi smiled at Amy.

Amy felt something strange about Jimmi's smile. Whahuh? Ah ... only her smile was sweeter than usual. Besides, today Jimmi wears sunglasses that add to his style so cool. Cooly? Amy wasn't sure that was the right word. Tonight Jimmi more ... handsome. It's hard to admit, but it's true.

"But .. I have to go home now, Jimm."

"What's? Dexter hasn't performed."

Amy knows Dexter is Jimmi's favorite band. There's no way he'll take her home now. It's impossible to wait for Dexter to perform. It's nine o'clock over nine minutes. M will be angry if he is late. Inevitably Amy had to dare to go home alone. Amy stood up and stepped away from Jimmi.

"Hey ..wait!" Jimmi pulls Amy's hand. "I'm taking it."

Amy raised her eyebrows next door. His ears are not wrong. Just now what did Jimmi say? The tall man stood up and convinced Amy that the girl had not misheard.

"Your desk ...?" ask Amy.

"I can watch it next time, but being alone at night with you isn't necessarily an opportunity like this anymore, right?" Jimmy smiled again at Amy.

"Ish .. What are you talking about? Just keep your words to the girls who are always yelling your name on the edge of the basketball court!"

Jimmi just laughed a little at Amy's insinuating tone. He does have a predicate playboy who likes to change girlfriends. He was a popular guy at school. The handsome, the basketball champion and the good guy melt the hearts of women. He doesn't mind that name. Not at all.

The curved crescent moon glowed in the sky. His earth-covered shadow was faintly visible. The stars scattered decorate the gloomy sky. Some group together and form a constellation that is already well known around the world.

"Jimm .. Can I ask you something?"

Jimmi frowned, "What?"

"Don't tell M we're from the band, okay?"

"Why should?"

Amy stepped in front of Jimmi then stopped and turned her body. "I told M to go to an art show at the village hall."

"You lied to him?" Jimmi can't believe it.

"Yes . I don't want him to be angry or disappointed. Please, Jimm."

Jimmi tapped his index finger on his chin. "Alright .. but, I have a request too."

"What's that?"

Jimmi slightly bent his body towards Amy then whispered. Amy glares. Her cheeks flushed.

"Gak .. will never, Jimm!" amy said. He turned his body and stepped.

"If you don't want to, I'll do it!" jimmi shouted after Amy.

"Don't fuck around, Jimm! Better M know it than I do it."

"I'm just kidding, Amy. I'm not gonna tell it to, M, I'm." Jimmi grin.

"Really?" ask Amy not to believe it. All I asked was nodding and smiling. Amy noticed that smile. I don't know since when he liked to watch Jimmi who was smiling.

"Hey, look! Falling star!" jimmi pointed at the sky.

Amy raised her head and looked around for what Jimmi meant.

The cup!

Jimmi looked down and peeked at Amy's left cheek. No stars fell that night.

Amy surprised. He felt his cheeks start to heat up. What did Jimmi do?

Grp!

He was about to vent his anger at Jimmi but the guy ran in front and yelled, "I told you, if you don't want to, I'll do it!"

Amy runs after Jimmi with explosive anger.

Seriate...
