Disappointed Again

Today, Edewina and Reo made a pact to go to dinner. Edewina agreed because it was Saturday tomorrow so he did not go to college and could go home late at night.

After changing clothes, Edewina went to the kitchen. He smiled at Adeline who had prepared breakfast on the table.

"Aunt Adeline, your cooking is always good. I feel like my weight has gone up. Usually I rarely eat dinner, but now if not dinner, it doesn't feel like I can sleep."

Along the way Edewina thought about what gift she would give Ken. Usually still a month Ken's birthday, Edewina has prepared her gift.

The store and other malls are not open yet. It's still 8 in the morning. I'd better finish college and buy it for Ken.

When Edewina parked her car in the usual place, she did not see Ken's car there.

"Brian, where's Ken?" edewina asked when she saw Brian who had just come with Sinta.

"Ken went back into the hospital" Brian said.

"What?" Edewina.

"Yes. Last night we were in her apartment, waiting for the 12th hour to surprise her birthday. But what happened, we actually got a surprise from Ken when he suddenly got dizzy and unconscious."

"Yes, Lord, how is he doing now? My mom is home, right?"

"Yes. Her mother just returned to Seoul 2 days ago."

"Who's keeping Ken?"

"There's Arbren's doctor. A Scottish doctor who lives one floor with Ken in his apartment. But the doctor was off duty at 3 p.m. I'm in college until 6."

"Kennar Lim's. You're lovers, right? I know that almost every week you will come to this park to rent a bike and tour the park until the afternoon. About 1 hour ago your lover came. Edewina just nodded. He pays for the bike rental fee and immediately finds Ken.

Their favorite place is on a hill that has a bridge. They used to sit there looking at the deer.

Justright. Ken's in there. He sat on the floor leaning against the bridge fence and looked far ahead. It seems he is daydreaming.

"Ken.....!" call Edewina.

Ken looked. He stared. Edewina couldn't believe it. "Vienna?" Ken's tears fell.

"Ken, why did you get out of the hospital? You're still pale."

Ken smiled. "It's my birthday, Win. I don't want to spend it in a quiet hospital room. I want to be here. At least my heart feels happy when it's here."

Edewina sat down next to Ken. "Happy birthday, Ken."

"I think you forgot about it. You are usually the first to congratulate. But starting this year, I'll have to get used to myself." Ken wiped his tears rough. "I'm sorry. It's still hard for me to accept the fact that we're brothers now."

"We're definitely gonna get through this, Ken. Come home! We're back at the hospital."

"I told you I wanted to be here. I feel good when I'm here."

"Ken, you're a doctor candidate. It should be best to understand what the consequences are for neglecting your health."

"My stomach will always be like this. It takes a long time to heal. But I'm definitely healed. You go!"

Edewina looked at Ken. I want him to hug Ken. He knew the guy was sad. And one of the things that made Ken sad was himself.

"Ken, let me drive you home."

Ken shakes. He just closed his eyes. Enjoy the afternoon breeze at the end of autumn.

For a long time they kept quiet. Until Edewina felt that Ken was asleep because he heard his smooth snoring. And slowly Ken's head fell on Edewina's shoulder.

Indira stood in front of Reo. The man seemed to be bowed lethargic with neat clothes.

"Re....!" call Indira.

Reo raised his face. He immediately smiled. "Thank you for coming."

Indira returned Reo's smile. Then pull up a chair and sit down in front of Reo. He took out a small box and opened the box. It was a mini birthday cake. Indira blames 1 candle that is there.

"Happy birthday to my best friend, Christensen Haireo Almond."

Reo closed his eyes. Feeling the pain in his heart. He planned a lovely dinner with Edewina. He will wait until 12 midnight because he wants his birthday to be passed with the woman he loves so much.

However, Edewina did not return home. He even canceled their dinner at half-seven last night. And Reo still hoped Edewina would come by sending him the address of the restaurant. Near the entrance was a girl standing in a maroon-red dress. In his right hand was a birthday cake and in his left hand was a paper bag containing gifts. He turned his body away from the restaurant.
