Not the Honeymoon

Back to the wedding night...

Edewina opened the door to her room. He was surprised to see Ken at the door of his room.

"Ken...?"

Ken smiled. Ken's face looked very pale. His eyes are not glowing either.

"What are you doing here, Ken?" edewina asked as she glanced towards the bed where Reo was lying.

"I miss you" said Ken, holding Edewina's cheek. "You're so pretty."

"Ken, are you sick?" edewina asked, touching Ken's face. He was shocked when he felt that Ken's face was very cold.

"May I hug you?" ask Ken.

"Can."

Ken hugged Edewina with a smile. He even kissed the top of the girl's head repeatedly.

"Vienna, come with me!" take Ken.

Edewina let go of her embrace. "Where are we going?"

"If life cannot unite us, then death will unite us."

"Ken, what do you mean?"

Ken stroked Edewina's face. He then took a bottle from his pocket. "It's poison. Let's have a drink together."

Ken immediately drank half the bottle without being prevented by Edewina.

"Ken....!"

"Drink the rest Edewina. I beg. Prove that you love me."

"Ken..I...!"

Ken's body fell to the floor with a mouth that spewed out foam.

"Ken.....! Please.....!"

"You don't drink it, Vienna? You don't love....a....ku?" ken's eyes opened but his breathing stopped. Edewina.

"No..no....! Ken.., open your eyes, Ken. I love you. I love you so much. Ken..don't leave me...!" Edewina hugged Ken's lifeless body again. He was crying so much. Her heart was broken to see the man she loved die before her.

"Vienna....Dear edewina....!"

Edewina opened her eyes. He was surprised to see Reo in front of him.

"Ken..., Ken.he committed suicide!"

"Darling, you're just a dream...!" Reo patted Edewina's cheek gently to resuscitate her.

"I don't want Ken to die."

"Dear girl....!"

Edewina immediately hugged Reo while crying. "I don't want Ken to die. I don't want to.....!"

"Vienna, you're just a dream." Reo rubbed Edewina's back making the woman finally start to find her consciousness. He immediately released his hand that hugged Reo then shifted his body to get away from Reo.

Reo quickly got out of bed. He poured water on the glass and then gave it to Edewina.

Edewina. "I don't need it." she said slowly. Then he got out of bed and immediately headed to the bathroom. The woman washed her face while trying to calm her troubled mood.

Did something happen to Ken? Was he desperate and eventually committed suicide?

Edewina quickly dried her face with a towel. He then came out of the bathroom and looked for his cell phone.

"What's up, Win?" ask Reo.

Edewina did not respond to Reo's question. He picked up his cell phone and immediately walked towards the balcony while calling Ken's number. Unfortunately Ken's number is off. Edewina calls Delon's number, her boyfriend Clara who is in class with Ken. Delon did not pick up his phone. Edewina finally called Clara.

"Hallo.." Clara's voice raspy typical of people just waking up.

"Clara....., where are you?"

"In my apartment. What's the dawn-body gini you woke me up?"

"Body?"

"It's half-four in the morning, Mrs Almond, are you out of work and disturbing my sleep?"

"sorry. I had a nightmare. Ken killed himself. I want to know how Ken is doing?"

"Oh my goodness, Win. You are married. Why do you still think about Ken? Enjoy my honeymoon with the handsome Reo."

"We're not on our honeymoon anymore, La. You know we're being set up."

"Because it must be stress...."

"Win, you can't think of Ken anymore. You are married. Let Ken live his life. It may be a bit difficult at first for both of you but believe me, it's the best."

"Gue see that Reo really loves you. On your wedding day, Reo's eyes sparkle with those in love. I don't know why, even though I'm Ken's best friend, I'm sure Reo's a good guy."

"Gue can't possibly love her, La."

"La, I'm stressed."

"I'm on my honeymoon."

"It's not a honeymoon, La. This is a black moon for me. If suicide wasn't a sin, I would've done it."

"Lu don't be crazy, Win. Your future is still long."

"It's not strong without Ken."

"Lu must be strong, Win. Now I'm closing first, huh? It's so sleepy!"

Edewina took a deep breath. He looked towards the beach that looked lonely. Her crying sounded slowly.

Without Edewina knowing, Reo who was standing behind her also looked sad to see the state of the girl. He knew that Edewina was tormented but Reo would not give up. This is the 2nd day. And Reo knew there were still many days to go by.

"Where are you going?" edewina asked when she saw Reo had taken out 2 suitcases.

"Go on the honeymoon." replied Reo with a sweet smile.

"Honeymoon?" Edewina smiled cynically. "Why honeymoon if we only get married on paper? Why go if....." Edewina felt that she was dizzy. The girl sat down on the sofa.

"You sick?" ask Reo. He approached but Edewina shook Reo's hand.

"Don't touch me...!" the girl shouted and leaned her back on the back of the sofa.

"Vienna, you can hate me but don't refuse me to help you."

Edewina closed her eyes. He doesn't know what happened to him. Why did he feel so dizzy this morning. At that point he just had breakfast half an hour ago.

Reo bowed in front of Edewina's feet. He grabbed the girl's leg and massaged it on the sole of the foot. Reo remembers his grandfather who was Javanese. His grandfather used to massage Reo and his two brothers every time they got sick. According to the grandfather, the legs are an important part to massage because all human nerves are connected to the legs.

Edewina initially refused as Reo held her leg. But no matter how hard he tried to pull his leg, Reo still held him back. And of course Edewina no longer had the strength to refuse because she felt very weak due to dizziness she felt.

Reo's massage at Edewina's feet made the woman feel a little good.

"Let's lay your head here first." Reo took a pillow and helped Edewina lay her body on the sofa. The woman complies.

Even though his eyes were closed, Edewina still kept thinking.

Am I really pregnant? What if I'm really pregnant? What am I supposed to do? God, I'm not ready to get pregnant yet but I can't possibly refuse this pregnancy. This kid is innocent.

Edewina subconsciously held onto her stomach and rubbed it slowly. Reo who was sitting before him of course saw Edewina rubbing her stomach. The man smiled. Something made him happy.

Edewina's phone rang. It was from Opa Edriges.

"Hallo baby, are you guys at the airport?"

"No, opa. Still in the hotel."

"You should have left already. It's late for honeymoon. Opa hopes that you always send pictures of honeymoon there huh? It's also opa and Oma's honeymoon place."

"Where is it?"

"Switzerland."

Edewina. Isn't that the place she wanted to visit with Ken?

"Send me the photos, son? That's all that's gonna make your oma miss get treated. He left opa for 11 years. Opah missed him a lot. Maybe by looking at your photos later opa's heart will be a little entertained."

"Okay, opa." Where could Edewina refuse his request for an opinion. He slowly woke up and saw Reo who was still faithful waiting for him.

"What time does the plane leave?" ask Edewina.

"An hour from now. We have to hurry so it's not too late."

Edewina grabbed her backpack. "Let's go. But first I want to stop by the pharmacy."

Reo nodded. He knew what Edewina was going to buy.
