Ardian Prasetya nodded, accepting the invitation. He opened the door in the front passenger seat and got into the car, and saw a man sitting in the back as he did so. That man was Angkara Adam.
"Uncle Adam?" Ardian Prasetya greeted politely. "Are you okay, son Ardian?" Angkara Adam greeted back, a friendly smile visible on his lips.
Angkara Adam's smile reminded Ardian Prasetya of the unsettling attitude the chairman had towards him. The man treated her too well, what does that really mean to her behavior?
Ardian Prasetya decided to leave it a little longer, as Angkara Adam himself did not seem too keen to explain the details. "It's nothing, just some thugs breaking into the schoolyard. I punished them a little. The police officer let me go after understanding that."
"Good, as long as you're okay." Angkara Adam said with a nod of his head. "I've heard from Arnold Ken what you've done for Elvira regarding the matter at the Bank. I'm grateful for that."
"That's included in my work, don't worry." Ardian Prasetya did not think much of the incident, he was paid to protect Angkara Elvira. So, he's just doing his job. No need to overstate it.
"Yes, right. Then...how is your relationship with my daughter? He's no longer trying to get you fired, is he?" Angkara Adam's head began to ache a little at the thought of his troublesome daughter.
"Not at all, even if it looks like that. Angkara Elvira is good to me and we actually get along well." Ardian Prasetya said with a smile. He would not do something as classless and stupid as telling about the girl could be so annoying beyond reason, but Angkara Adam would never stop showering her with his love, she said, he will always be on his side.
One wrong move from Ardian Prasetya and he will be fired. With that in mind, he decided to give a little praise to Angkara Elvira.
Arnold Ken opened his mouth in response to the words of Ardian Prasetya, but decided not to say anything. "really? Haha, good to hear it!" Angkara Adam smiled happily at the news. "You're right, my daughter is actually a good boy, she just... Well, you know yourself, hahaha!"
"Don't worry. I'll take care of him." Ardian Prasetya promised. He then recalled the words of the Bald Marauder yesterday, and he decided to tell Angkara Adam about it, after hesitating. "Uncle Adam, there's something I need to talk to you about."
"Hm?" Angkara Adam smiled. "Do you want something? What do you want? I can give it to you, please tell me."
"No, it's not about gifts or anything like that. It's about the bank robbery yesterday" Ardian Prasetya said.
"Eh? I see..Let's talk about this in detail elsewhere. Arnold Ken isn't an outsider, but he's driving, I don't want him distracted. I'm sure you also know that this is not a trivial discussion, right?" Angkara Adam said with a nod.
"Yes, I get it." It looks like he won't be returning to school anytime soon because of this. Ardian Prasetya decided to skip classes all day.
The villa in the wetland area is the private villa of Angkara Adam, but it remains mostly empty due to frequent and extended business trips by the chairman. Elvira, by contrast, lives in a villa near the school for comfort.
Adam's Angkara Villa District, by nature, was under Adam's Angkara Industry, although Elvira chose to live there largely because of Tinia Atmaja, who also lived there. The two have been inseparable since elementary school.
The villa that Angkara Adam lived in was on the outskirts of the city, and covered a large piece of land, surrounded by flower fields and plains. There is only one road to the main building.
Needless to say that they had entered private property, outsiders were not allowed to enter here without permission. Arnold Ken had scanned his cards at the main gate before it opened for them.
Ardian Prasetya glanced at the brand name of the system, perhaps it was the most up-to-date scrolling code lock system: No copy could be made, he said, because the door system has a unique code that matches the card code, it is made to match the card code.
The system, however, is not easy. Naturally, Ardian Prasetya kept his mouth shut about it, the area was as safe as ever. Yesterday's events are still a mystery, and Ardian Prasetya intends to step up security measures in Elvira's villa because of it. After all, he could not guarantee the safety of Angkara Elvira every hour and let alone every minute.
Arnold Ken parked in front of the villa, and got out of the car to open the doors of Ardian Prasetya and Angkara Adam. He stepped back into the car shortly after the two got out.
"Did Uncle Ken not come with us?" Ardian Prasetya remembers what Angkara Adam said, about Arnold Ken not being an outsider and so on. "He'll park the car in the garage, he'll be joining us soon." Angkara Adam understood Ardian Prasetya's intentions, smiling as he patted the boy's shoulder. "Arnold Ken's been with me for over ten years. You can always meet him if I'm not around, he'll help you no matter what!"
Ardian Prasetya nodded in response. The words of Angkara Adam put Arnold Ken in a very trustworthy position. The interior of the villa is not at all luxurious or extravagant, not in the sense of a golden ceiling and marble pillars. It leaned more towards the ancient times and elegant class. Angkara Adam is a man who has a classic taste.
"Sit wherever you want. Think of it as your own home" said Angkara Adam as he got a pair of sandals in front of Ardian Prasetya.
The move overwhelmed Ardian Prasetya, Angkara Adam clearly treated him more than just an employee or subordinate, almost as if he was family.
"Thank you Uncle Adam...." Ardian Prasetya kept that thought inside as he wore sandals.
The calm that Ardian Prasetya gathered, in turn, impressed Angkara Adam. He was not familiar with Ardian Prasetya's past, but it seemed that the boy had a lot of experience under his belt. Someone who has seen the world from a much different side.
The two had just finished talking about Angkara Elvira when Arnold Ken's voice sounded from outside the study. Ardian Prasetya did not know if he had waited for their conversation to end before making his presence known, or if he just happened to arrive.
