Chapter 8: The first day of work

The day has changed. In the morning, Hansen woke up from his sleep and went straight out of the house. He left without saying goodbye and to everyone because he did not want to ruin his mood in the morning. 

On a public transport, Hansen went to work. He arrived at his destination just before 8 a.m. He went to the security guard's place and put on the uniform that had been prepared for him there.

Shortly after, he passed by an elegant-looking woman. His voice sounded friendly and gentle enough to calm the soul. His face that looked very beautiful like a jewel, made Hansen amazed until he was silent for a moment.  

Seeing Hansen keep looking at his face, the woman returned Hansen's gaze and said, “Are you the new security guard?”

“Ah, I-Yes.” Hansen was awakened from his daydream.

The woman introduced herself as Zaskia Arista. He mentioned that he was the Supervisor there. Hansen immediately changed his attitude after knowing who the woman before him was.

Suddenly, there was a voice of contention from a room. His voice sounded so loud that Zaskia was curious about what was happening. 

That voice sounded familiar to Zaskia. It was obvious that an annoyed face was drawn on his face. Sighing, he decided to take Hansen away together towards the source of the sound. 

At first Hansen thought Zaskia would ask him to break up the fight of the guests in the VIP room. But what happened was the opposite. When he got to the front of the room, Hansen who intended to enter with a wooden stick in his hand was prevented by Sazkia's gentle claps. 

Zaskia explained that the guest who made a fuss was an important guest. It would be best if Hansen waited outdoors until he calmed things down. For a moment Hansen's mind drifted with a gentle touch from Zaskia, until he did not realize that she had actually entered the VIP room and left him outside. 

Inside the room, there was a large man named Boss Cahyadi. He sat on the sofa, looking charismatic and very domineering. Both of his eyes were round, but the look on his eyes was cold and sharp.

On the right and left, there are business colleagues who entrust some of their business to be taken care of by Boss Cahyadi. Behind him were dozens of people standing tall in black clothes. They are the men of the boss Cahyadi who works as a bodyguard. 

"Do you know what your mistake was?" asked Boss Cahyadi while looking at the worker who was being held by two of his bodyguards. The worker's face was battered by being beaten. 

"S-I beg your pardon, sir. I really did it unintentionally. Please forgive me" said the worker with his head bowed. 

"This is my favorite suit and you dare to dirty it with the juice spills you brought. Do you know how much money I've spent to take care of my suit?"

The waiter did not answer.

"Even your salary in ten years will not be able to replace it. You really ruined my mood today. Be thankful that I was kind enough to just beat you up. I will compensate you by telling Miss Zaskia that I will withdraw all investments in my control due to your carelessness.”

Boss Cahyadi brought his face closer to the servant. He looked at her with a vile smile, “Imagine what will happen to you then. Not only will he be fired from this hotel, maybe the hotel will also ask for compensation with a nominal that is out of your reach."

"To-please don't do that, sir! Whatever it is just don't pull your investment from this hotel because of my carelessness. My life would be greatly ruined if that were to happen," the worker asked with his entire body trembling full of despair. 

Zaskia who heard that also panicked. 

Boss Cahyadi stressed his power because he knew that the hotel was working with him. Therefore, Zaskia must be able to solve this problem well. He can't leave a bad impression on Boss Cahyadi against the Permata hotel. 

“Finally you came too! Come quickly and accompany me for a drink! If you accompany me, I will forget about your careless work problem.”

Zaskia who does not like to drink is of course trying to reject the invitation, while smiling thinly.

"Can I just sit with you? I'm not very good at drinking, I'm afraid it'll make you disappointed." 

"I don't want you to just sit and be with me. I asked you to have a drink with me. Is that still unclear, Miss Zaskia? Or do I need to explain it another way?" asked Boss Cahyadi with a sharp look. 

"You-you mean?" asked Zaskia while holding back her fear. 

Boss Cahyadi patted both hands once, then the bodyguards in charge of accompanying him immediately stepped up from where they stood. 

“To-please don't punish miss Zaskia! I'm the guilty one here. Please don't engage in— 

Ohhhhh!!!  

The servant man was beaten to the point of fainting unconscious. 

“Please stop beating him, he is already unconscious! Don't you have any humanity!?” shout Zaskia. 

Meanwhile, Hansen who was standing in front of the entrance directly after hearing the sound of Zaskia's cry. 

He could immediately see a group of people surrounding Zaskia and forcing her to drink, tearing off her clothes so that many parts were exposed. 

He also saw the worker who had fainted unconscious in a terrible state. 

Hansen immediately came forward to protect Zaskia. Hansen who had heard the conversation and shouted Boss Cahyadi of course understood that he should not be so distressed.

Hansen reflexively stepped forward, turning his back to Zaskia, at a time when people were still not paying attention. 

Tapps 

"If you need a friend to drink with, please allow me to represent Miss Zaskia. I'm better at drinking than he is." Hansen smiled as he grabbed the wine glass that was held by the bodyguard of Boss Cahyadi. 

Suddenly it succeeded in causing a number of people in the room were upset. Everyone who was on Boss Cahyadi's side stared intently at Hansen. 

"Curtain! Who is this security guard?” said Boss Cahyadi, looking down on Hansen, “How dare he interfere in my affairs.”
