Greatest Son-in-law

Greatest Son-in-law
Chapter 25: Facing the Great General

In the military there are ranks that become a reference to distinguish the status and influence of a soldier. It starts with an ordinary soldier, Bintara, and an officer. At each level, there are several other levels. General Fahar and the two generals who welcomed Hansen's own arrival, were three-star generals who belonged to the officer group. Generally, three-star generals are called Letjen, or simply by the name of lieutenant.

Eliza is the only woman to survive in the position of Lieutenant General. Has a very perfect body, but too stiff for all men. Her eyes are blue, and her hair is blonde. He is a mixed descendant between Indonesia and Italy. A perfectionist who only attaches importance to mission above all else.

Balin, a quiet man who has long held on to his position as a Lieutenant General.

The skin is quite dark, brown-eyed, and only speaks when necessary.

Fahar, a four-star general who had dropped to three-star rank to level with the Lieutenant General. His rank has never risen since four years ago, and the reason behind his demotion is to be negligent in the mission. His negligence was fatal, to the astonishment of the life of someone he had to protect. And that person is, Adelia Batari, Hansen Pratama's real mother.

....

General Fahar, Lieutenant General Eliza, and Lieutenant General Balin walked up to Hansen who stepped ahead of them. The atmosphere of Eliza and Balin was still flat as usual, while Fahar was different. He looked quite depressed in his heart, as he felt uneasy about the events in the past.

Tok to tok.

Hansen knocked on the door of the great General's room.

Then slowly enter after hearing the voice, "Come in!"

Check it!

Hansen entered alone, leaving the three Lieutenant-General in charge of guarding that no one could hear the conversation in the room.

....

Once inside, Hansen was greeted by a middle-aged man who was ready in a respectful position. "Welcome back sir!" The old man appeared to be wearing military clothing complete with the symbol of a five-star general on his shoulders.

"You've become a great general now, why still salute me?" Hansen sighed.

"My current position is just a falsity. If you don't let me take the number eradication feat, where might I be in my position right now?" the old man lowered his head.

"I'm just a former four-star general, it would be bad for your reputation if someone saw you like this!" Hansen.

"Five four-star generals are gone while still in my control, tens of Lieutenant and hundreds of thousands of Bintara have been crushed by the enemy while on a mission from me. This honorific title, it's not appropriate for a non-copetene person like me," the old man clutched a five-star symbol over his shoulder while painting an annoyed expression all over his face.

" .... " Hansen fell silent after hearing bad news from the man. An annoyed expression began to appear on his face, "Are they all finished off by Number?"

"No!"

"Are they very strong?" Hansen asked with a annoyed expression.

"Strong enough to destroy our elites" the great General Hanan reluctantly raised his face.

"Have you asked Oliver and the others for help?" Hansen.

"They disappeared without a trace, just like you. Neither the government nor the data manager, nobody keeps the original data of your identity. Everything is neatly hidden, and only leaves your fake identity as a Red Eagle special forces team."

"If it wasn't for you calling first, maybe we wouldn't have found you" Great General Hanan didn't know that General Fahar was once in charge of protecting Hansen's family. All because, the mission is classified, and only known by a few people. And the one who knows the mission, is none other than the president, Hansen Pratama and general Fahar himself. Because of the secret of the mission, even the Hansen family did not know it.

'It seems that the president and general Fahar kept his promise to me, ' Hansen smiled faintly for a moment, then said, "Please elevate Lieutenant General Fahar to a four-star general. If anyone asks the reason for his ascension, just say to fill the place of the four-star generals who died while on a mission,"

"Okay sir" the great general Hanan was Hansen's comrade-in-arms as a four-star general in the past. Despite his distant age, he always respected his professional friend, because he never failed in the most difficult mission. His respect for Hansen became even higher after reading a short message from Hansen via his old mobile number.

'I'm tired of this job, please take care of everything for me and don't try to find my identity. If you still respect me please obey my request, and just take charge of the Extermination Number achievement for me. Signed, Mr. X'

.....

"You look handsome without a mask, Mr. X," the great General Hanan smiled.

'Hearing the old man seemed to call me handsome, for some reason it felt disgusting, ' Hansen simply smiled while hiding his disgust.

....

"Mom messed up our party last night, Brother Herry must be really upset!"

"Why the hell did mom have to come messing up like that useless guy!"

"When the man is not here, why is there still someone who interferes with my brother's chance to be close to Brother Herry anyway!?" Amelia Vishnu tidied up the liquor bottle with a look of annoyance. He was still under the influence of drinks, until babbling was not clear even though Andini did not respond.

'Stop managing my life, and remember well that you're just the man I paid for my contract marriage!' Andini remembered her ugliness at the previous party. Given how messed up Hansen was at the time, and how badly he treated him.

'Even before the party was held, I had thought of apologizing to him.'

'Why should I say such a stupid thing anyway!?' Andini seemed to regret the incident last time, but his high prestige did not allow him to take the initiative to contact or visit where Hansen might go. Plus the incitement of Amelia Vishnu who kept pumping her so as not to seek or try to contact Hansen.

"Ughh, shitty!" Amelia Vishnu shouted in annoyance.
