Part 4; The Selfishness of Elena

Elena now is the time.

What Elena had in mind right now was the message that her father had sent her. Just one sentence but managed to make Elena suddenly frustrated and tense at the same time.

Elena had forgotten the Rave fans who were still following her. He was confused, very confused at the moment. Not to mention the thought of quitting working at the company he so desperately wanted. Elena didn't know what she should do first, because the problems that came were as endless as today.

"Oh you're coming?" ask an employee who is Elena's co-worker. The girl immediately welcomed Elena's arrival.

"What pain do you have, Elena? It seems you have not fully healed. Your body is so thin like this, and you look limp. You better go back home and rest." suggested co-worker Elena.

Elena shook her head, trying to smile even though it was very difficult for her to do so.

"Is Joe in his room?" ask Elena gently.

Elena's co-workers were shocked when Elena asked about the whereabouts of the boss in their office. The girl's thoughts were high.

"Are you suffering from a serious illness?" he asked as he clasped Elena's arm, trying to force her to answer her question a little.

Elena once again smiled gently, "I'm fine and I'm cured now of course."

"Then? Why go see Joe? You're planning to stop working here?"

Elena laughed at her colleague's words, "How do you know I want to stop working, Teresa?"

The look on Teresa's face, Elena's co-worker instantly changed and looked sad. The girl had known Elena for two years. And while working at the same company as her, Elena never once went to see Joe. Therefore Teresa immediately thought about Elena who wanted to stop working.

"So that's right?"

Elena nodded softly, her hand immediately grabbed onto Teresa's shoulder and calmed the co-worker who was already very close to her. Elena felt heavy to stop working when she saw Teresa's facial features, but she could what. He has been preparing for this for a long time. He must decide immediately if it is time for him to be called.

"Let me go see Joe first."

Elena gave a calming smile before turning away from Teresa. Elena went straight to Joe's room, his boss at the company where he worked. He must finish everything immediately. If he had to stop, he would stop. Everything is decided and everything is destined.

Elena let out a heavy sigh before knocking on the door of the room, "Excuse me" Elena said after hearing the reply from inside the room.

"Elena! Where have you been for a week? What kind of pain are you suffering from?!"

Elena did not have time to answer, the boss in her company immediately pointed at her with another question, "Are you cheating the company and reasoned sick?!"

Elena took a moment and immediately replied to the question given by the boss, "Sorry, but what do you mean?"

Elena quickly replied, "No. It's not like that."

Elena felt a tightness in her chest. He felt guilty for lying to the boss by saying 'no' when in fact he was not sick. Where maybe he told me all the things that happened, especially the problem of this lie started because he had a secret relationship with a top celebrity. And also her superiors might not believe Elena's words.

"What pain do you really have?! You know, when you're not in for a week, all the work you're working on is transferred to Teresa. And of course Teresa's work was nothing she could do to the maximum. It's all because of you!"

Hearing the words from her superior, Elena felt extremely guilty. If only she entered work, Teresa did not have to bother replacing her job. If only Rave's fanatical fans hadn't terrorized him, he could have had the day as usual. If only he hadn't posted a photo of the flower in the garden, there was no way Rave would have been careless about posting it on Instagram. And if he hadn't been dating Rave, all these problems would probably never have happened. This problem all started with himself. She is selfish for dating Rave Josha.

"I don't even know how to punish you, Elena. I would love to give you a warning letter, but you follow the rules well. You are not allowed to enter because you attach a certificate from the Doctor. I was even confused myself wanting to punish you." the voice of the superior slowly weakened and managed to make Elena feel even more guilty.

"I'm sorry. You can punish me and punish me if you feel I am guilty. If you think that's true, I deserve it."

The superior shook his head, "As I said before, I myself am even at a loss as to what punishment I should give. Should I cut your pay, Elena? Or should I fire you? Haha I think I've gone crazy."

Elena simply fell silent and listened to the superior's complaints over her. Feelings of guilt when he thought he would stop working from the company. It was as if he was running away from his punishment and work, although this was actually part of his real work.

"I see you're late today. You better get back to work so Teresa can get back to her own job."

Elena looked up at the boss, she looked a little hesitant but she had to tell him the truth immediately. Things he must finish soon.

"There's something important I want to tell you."

The boss looked confused, "What is that?"

"I'm sorry if I was impressed like running away from the punishment you've given me, but there are more important things I have to do. Honestly, I feel so guilty that I haven't been to work for a week, and.." Elena looked doubtful, but she continued, "I want to resign."

"What's? Whatchu mean?! Want to resign? I didn't hear wrong?"

Elena nodded steadily, "Yes. For the reason I came today is to want to resign."

"But what is the reason you want to resign? Didn't you ever say working for this company was one of your goals?"

Elena smiled gently, "Yes, working in this company is my biggest dream. Everything I have done in this company makes me very happy. I'm sorry that there are far more important things that I have to work on until I have to stop working for this company. I hope you can understand me."

"But, Elena. If you resign like this you will have to pay a fine. And it's all written on your contract."

"Yes, I will pay all the fines written on the contract." Elena took her breath for a moment, "Let me work as usual today. I want to finish all my work before I officially stop working."
