Part 21; Introduction of Ministers

The long week after one week of moving to the palace was over. Slowly all the news about Elena and Rave's relationship disappeared perfectly. No one on social media talks about their relationship. Everything was clean as if nothing had happened before.

Likewise with the relationship of the two, everything seems to run normally as before. After the phone call that night, relief came to both of them. Although their relationship will be increasingly difficult, especially Elena's position in the palace with super tight supervision, they both try to understand each other. Rave promises not to demand news from Elena, while Elena promises to try to take care of her health and see Rave as soon as possible, if she has the chance.

As early as the morning before, Elena should be ready to move in the morning. Farel, the personal assistant is ready at Elena's doorstep. I don't know since what time the young man was there, whether he had breakfast or not Elena will never know. Because if asked, Farel always says he is ready there means he is ready with himself.

Monday was the perfect day for the King to take Elena along in attending all sorts of his work. Every Monday morning there will always be a briefing led by the King directly. And the King asked Elena to take his place to give a briefing every Monday morning when the King was not in the palace.

And on Monday it was time for Elena to get to know the Ministers responsible for their respective work. All the ministers gathered in the meeting room. According to Elena, memorizing 30 Ministers at once is not difficult. The difficult thing is to know the character of each Minister. Whether the Ministers who have been helping the King are working in their fields or not. And Elena had to find out something else more important, whether they were indeed serving the King or were they on the opposite side of the King. The first thing Elena has to do is find out alone.

"He is the Minister of Agriculture and Plantation, Viktor Recago."

Elena immediately gave a helping hand to the Minister when the King introduced her. The Minister of Agriculture and Plantation quickly returned Elena's hand. Later Elena will help in agriculture and plantations, therefore Elena tried to attract the attention of the Minister before her first.

"Please help me, I have absolutely no control over this field of work" Elena said with an earnest look.

"No, Princess Elena. I am the one who will need your help. You don't have to be awkward on me. If there's something you want to ask me, you can ask me directly."

"Thank you,"

The King re-introduced Elena to the other Ministers. Elena, with her face and smile that never faded, tried hard to remember everything. The Ministers looked fine, but there were some Ministers who blatantly disliked Elena. Elena will understand and try not to care about it.

After briefing and brief introduction with the Ministers, the King and Elena left the meeting room. The King invited Elena to come to a meeting with the Governor in the city where Elena used to live. The governor had been waiting for the arrival of Elena and the King. He immediately welcomed the arrival of Elena and the King in the city's Governor's office.

"Greetings to His Majesty the King and Princess Elena" the Governor said saluting Elena and the King, "Thank you for accepting my invitation."

Elena and the King were led to surround the Governor's office. The employees who were working there immediately stopped their work, saluted King and Elena, then returned to work again.

After touring for a while, the King and Elena were taken to the Governor's office. The King's personal assistants and Farel were also seen coming into the Governor's office. They stood somewhat keeping their distance from the sofa where King and Elena were sitting.

"Your Majesty the King, this is the result of the recap of the data you requested. I have tidied it all up." the Governor gave the King some maps, and the King read aloud the report given by the Governor.

Elena received a map from the King. The opening of the map and it turns out to be related to agricultural products and plantations from the city. Elena had only first jumped into this line of work, and to understand what was in the report in such a short time was not easy. Luckily the King allowed himself to bring the report to his residence to study alone.

"Is there a serious enough problem going on?" ask the King to the Governor.

"none. It's just that the general hospital in this city asked me for special help, "The King listened carefully to the Governor, "The hospital requested the assistance of the General Surgeon with the Minister of Health to replace Doctor Daniel Rosamun, but they refused to provide a replacement."

Hearing her foster father's name being mentioned, Elena turned to look towards the Governor. There was a sudden feeling of longing coming towards Elena, as well as a heightened sense of worry. What was the news of his adoptive father, whether he was okay, and where exactly he was at this time. Whether his adoptive father was still in a remote village at the northern end of the country or had moved elsewhere.

"Give me the data on the general hospital and send it to my assistant before the end of today. I'll evaluate it immediately and continue with the Minister of Health if a replacement doctor is needed."

Hearing the King's words, the Governor immediately agreed to the King's request, "I'll immediately convey to the hospital as soon as possible."

"Then we have our meeting here. There are still many places that I have to go immediately" said the King who then stood up from his seat.

Seeing the King suddenly move, Elena got up but the city's Governor kept Elena from catching up with the King. The position of the King and his personal assistant had already left the room, while in the Governor's room left Elena, Farel and the Governor alone.

"Daughter Elena there's something I want to tell you," the Governor seemed to be trying to get Elena to listen to him.

"Yes?"

"I'm on your side. Your father—I mean Doctor Daniel is a good friend of mine. He could leave you to me if one day you need something. At first I was confused as to what he meant, but after the news of your appearance and the disappearance of Doctor Daniel, I understood the situation."

Elena looked confused but she kept trying to respond to the Governor, "Thank you for your help. I really appreciate that."
