Part 3; The Promise of the Lies

After feeling a little calmer, Elena gave Rave time to explain what the sudden arrival meant and made him very scared. And it made Rave repeatedly apologize for his very careless actions.

Rave's manager, who was driving a black van, parked his car in a small, narrow alley. The manager also opted out to give privacy to the artist.

“If you are done talking, can directly contact me.” said the manager who then moved away from the van.

In the car now only left Elena alone with Rave. Rave was seen continuously clasping onto Elena's palm gently. Elena then turned to look at Rave and gave her sweet smile, hinting that she was much better now.

“You okay, Elena? I heard a lot of fans coming and terrorizing you. I'm sorry, I can't do anything for you.”

Seeing Rave who felt very guilty, Elena hugged Rave's body. He calmed Rave as if the terror of Elena all did not affect Elena. Though behind it all, Elena felt very crowded constantly getting terror threats from Rave's followers who were a bit crazy—according to Elena.

“I'm fine. Dad always takes care of me, you don't have to worry about me, Rave.”

Rave knows all about Elena. The girl often harbored something from the first time they met in the First High School. But looking at Elena who looked tough and trying not to make Rave worry, Rave nodded as if he believed everything Elena said.

“Sorry because I can't protect you, Elena. All I can do is hide your identity from the media. But the crazy paparazzi that—“ Rave looks sighed heavily half frustrated, “I don't know what to do to them.”

“As long as you are fine, I will always feel good too, Rave.”

Rave pulled Elena's body into his embrace. He hugged the girl he had been secretly dating for four years. Slowly Elena released Rave's embrace from her body, leaving Rave perplexed by Elena's sudden actions.

“Is there anything that bothers you, Rave?”

Rave was made even more confused by Elena's question, “Nothing bothered my mind. I just thought about how you were because of the distraction from my fans, Elena.”

Elena shook her head, “That's not what I mean, Rave.”

“Then?”

“You've been looking sloppy lately. Often I see you unknowingly dropping the mic while it's live. And of course, the most careless action you last made was to post the photo I sent you.” Elena looked to take a deep breath, making Rave suddenly nervous to see her, “You are not the typical careless man Rave. I know that very well. Something's bothering you, isn't it?”

If it was related to each other's habits, neither Rave nor Elena could deny it. Both of them know each other very well. Elena the bystander around and Rave who always paid attention to Elena.

“Nothing matters, Elena. Really.”

Elena knew something was being hidden by Rave, but seeing Rave as if covering up, Elena felt she was not obligated to know. And Rave will usually tell his own story if the time is right. Rave will tell her, later.

Elena felt her phone vibrate, she took the phone she had stored in her bag. Lots of messages entered into his phone, and almost all messages that entered were terror messages from Rave fans. Elena then sees her father sending her a message, she immediately reads a message from the father.

Elena's face suddenly became a bit tense after reading the message from her father. He looked pensive after putting his phone back in his bag. Rave who saw the change in the look on Elena's face became worried.

“Elena what happened?”

Didn't get a response from Elena, Rave touched Elena's shoulder, “Elena?”

Elena regained her senses and quickly turned her head towards Rave who was looking at her worriedly. Elena immediately gave her sweet smile to Rave, hoping that Rave would not be too worried about the change in look on his face.

“Something happened, Elena?”

Rave was further confused by Elena, “Why?”

“Not something big. I just got a message to accompany Dad out of town.”

“Dinas out of town? I don't usually ask you to come with him, Elena. What about your job?”

“I'll resign.”

“Actually what happened Elena? Is your father's service that important until you have to leave and even resign to work in your office? The company you have been dreaming about?”

Elena felt the pain of hearing Rave's words. Rave was right, Elena tried her best to graduate and work at the company she works at. And Elena had to leave everything behind. Everything he had built all this time, even it seemed like he should be ready to leave the Rave as well.

“Yes, that's very important, Rave. For me and everything. There's something I want to tell you later, but now's not the time. I'm sorry, Rave.”

Although Rave was confused by Elena, Rave still tried to believe everything. Trust Elena who already believes in her.

“Good. But Elena, you have to promise to keep sending me messages wherever you are. Promise?”

“Yes, Rave. I promise you.”

Rave then recalled another reason he wanted to meet Elena at a time like this. If nothing important happens, Rave will meet Elena at night after Elena works, not in the morning when Elena has to work and disturb her like now.

“Elena there's something I forgot.”

Elena looked at Rave with a confused and quite curious look, “What, Rave?”

“Me and my group are going to a worldwide concert and the concert will start next week. Maybe I'll find it hard to meet you, too. But, just like you I will promise to as much as possible send you a message.”

Elena smiled at him, “Hopefully your concert goes well and you have to promise me one more thing, Rave. You should stay healthy until we meet. Never put off eating and always eat vitamins. Promise?”

Rave replied to Elena's words with a smile that was no less sweet, “I promise.”

“Then can you take me to the nearest bus stop? I have to go to the office now.”

Rave saw the clock on his wrist showing almost ten o'clock. It took Elena a long time. He immediately called the manager to return to the car and immediately deliver Elena.

“No need to arrive at bus station. Lower me a little far away.”

“No, I'll drop you right in front of the office.”

Elena stared towards Rave quickly, “Don't. Some of your fans are following me. If they saw me get off the van, they'd be right if we were dating. So I beg Rave, just drop me by the roadside.”

With a heavy heart Rave also asked the manager to drop Elena on the side of the road near the bus stop. Before parting ways, Rave gives Elena a hug. And Elena also gave a goodbye hug—, because Elena did not know when she could be reunited with Rave.
