Part 10; Rules Without Rules

“Hey, do you know the latest news? Said Rave liked a girl he was in class with!”

“Rave? Which rave?”

“Rave Josha! How many people are there named Rave in our school? Of course there is only one Rave and yaa Rave I mean is our idol!”

“Hah really? Who's the lucky girl that Rave Josha likes?”

“You know this is the hottest gossip in all corners of the school! Rave likes Dilla.”

“Dilla?”

"What's this about? What are you guys talking about?" I heard someone who had just come in to the conversation.

"Hey Jenni, you're Rave's class, aren't you? I heard he likes your classmates?"

"My classmates? Wh who? I don't know."

"Came on!"

"Dilla?"

“Dilla is the quiet and loner girl?” ask the other girl.

"You mean Elena?"

"Maybe? We know her by the call of Dilla. Maybe his full name?"

"Elena Dilla Leithova's. Well," replied the girl named Jenni, the student who was in class with Elena, "Wait a minute. You guys said Rave liked Elena? It can't be!"

"That's how we heard it!"

“That can't happen! How could Rave like a girl like that? It seems that the gossip spreader misunderstood, if Elena who likes Rave is much more reasonable, there are still many other girls who are much more beautiful and popular than Elena.”

“You're right, Jen. I was very surprised to hear this news. Or maybe Dilla who teased Rave first and spread gossip as if Rave was the one who liked it?”

The atmosphere inside the female toilet that morning became the place where gossip spread quickly. The toilet that was usually very quiet this morning became noisy because of the gossip that was talked about by a group of girls.

Elena—or children from other classes often call her by the name of Dilla was only able to stay still and trapped in one of the toilet cubicles. At first he just wanted to pee, but soon the group of gossiping girls came and made himself trapped in the school toilet cubicle.

“Hey you who are in the toilet quickly come out. I also have to use the toilet!”

The screams of one of the gossip spreader girls were heard. Elena was panicking. Should he get out of the room or pretend not finished using the toilet. But if he does not come out, until when he has to wait in the toilet cubicle. Those gossiping girls would definitely not be in the toilet for a while.

The loud knock on the toilet door made Elena make a quick decision. He decided to get out of the toilet. He just has to pass through the group of girls and be detached from them all.

Elena turned the toilet door knob. All the eyes of the group of girls there were all fixed on Elena who had just opened the door. Elena bowed her body, apologizing for using the toilet for so long.

“Sorry.”

Elena also stepped her feet slowly, trying to pass the girls who were in the toilet.

“Wait,” someone Elena knew as her classmate, Jenni stopped her steps, “What is it true that they say if you are the person Rave likes, Elena? Not wrong?” jenni's question sounded intimidating.

"No, me and Rave are just regular friends."

“Hei Jenni, I heard she is also a school with Rave in the first middle level,” whispered a girl on Jenni who was intercepting Elena's arm.

“I've never teased Rave,” Elena replied quietly and tried to stay calm.

“So you mean Rave likes you for no reason? Hahahaha very unlikely.”

“You're all wrong, me and Rave are just regular friends. And Rave didn't put his feelings on me either.”

The girls in the toilet were all laughing at once, “Of course Rave couldn't possibly like you. If you like the new Rave, we all believe. After all, a quiet and loner girl like you could be liked by Rave.”

“Yes, you are right. Then allow me to go back to class,” said Elena trying to leave the toilet immediately.

“Back to class? Oh come on Elena, they don't even know each other. Why do you look so rushed? How about you guys get acquainted first?”

Elena, who had just wanted to get out of the toilet, was restrained. Jenni who was in front and blocked her path quickly pushed Elena's body towards the other girl.

"Oh sorry Elena my hands are slippery and accidentally nudged you" Jenni said with a look of guilt.

The girls who were hit by Elena's push immediately pushed Elena's body, so Elena's back hit the toilet wall.

"You don't get along well with us, Dilla" replied the girls who purposely pushed Elena's body against the toilet wall.

Jenni stepped forward and stood right in front of Elena, "Listen to Elena. I don't know what you're doing so Rave can like you, but remember one thing. I was the first person who would oppose your relationship with Rave. The rumors just made me very upset. Prepare yourself after this!"

Elena just silently heard Jenni's words which then passed followed by the girls from other classes. Elena then crouched down and held onto her left shoulder which was hit by the wall. His shoulder was so painful that he felt like he was not strong enough to get up again.

"Elena? Elena? Elena did you hear Dad say?"

"Elena, I don't know what's going on there but you have to act fast. Don't just daydream and get up!"

Elena woke up from her daydream. The right hand holds the phone in its right ear. Her ears are hot right now.

"Oh yeahampun!"

Realizing that she was on the phone, Elena put the phone back in her ear, "Dad sorry, Elena will tell Dad again soon."

"Yes, move fast, Elena."

After hearing the phone call from her father turned off, Elena ran and knocked back on the door of the Doctor's room she had been to. The doctor inside invited him in.

"Can you give me proof of payment?"

Elena shook her head, "Can you please take care of the referral letter for Mr. Edward to the public hospital in the city first?"

The doctor in front of him pressed his lips, "I told you you have to pay first and get a referral."

"But I can't pay for having to return two bags of blood first."

"You know that why you're still quiet? Follow the new rules I can process!" the voice of the Doctor before him raised his voice.

Elena's voice sounded very slow, "Rules?"

"Yes, rules. I told you you have to give back how much blood you used before you can pay. And after that you can get a referral letter from me."

"I've never heard of such a rule. Besides how can the hospital complicate matters for patients like this?"

"That's a rule made directly from the Kingdom. Please protest to the King directly if you object to his policies!"

Elena is increasingly irritated by the Doctor before her, plus having to meet with her classmates first makes her more emotional. Elena sighed and took a slow breath, then removed a black card from her bag.

"Doctor, I need a referral to a patient named Edward right now. Give a referral to the city's general hospital brought under the control of Doctor Daniel Rosamun. After that I will finish all the business in this hospital."
