Elena; Queen of Ardorarias

Elena; Queen of Ardorarias
Part 11; Elena, the Hidden Princess

After being made dizzy all day, Elena was able to return home quietly to her house. The atmosphere in the housing seemed calm again, like the days before the fanatical fanatics who made a scene in the neighborhood around Elena's house. One by one the problems that come to him are slowly resolved.

“Elena.”

Elena who just came out of her room immediately approached the father who was sitting in the dining room. Her wrinkled face because it was old enough was still able to give her best smile to Elena.

“Dad wants to talk to you about something,” his father—Daniel Rosamun lets Elena sit on an empty bench in front of him, “Something important about Ardorarias.”

Elena who heard Ardorarias' words immediately sat down on the chair her father had prepared. He looked at his father with a serious face. Nervousness always approached Elena every time she heard the word Ardorarias, and lately after she heard the news that the King was sick, she was increasingly afraid of facing her future, the future that was waiting for her to come home.

“You already know if the King is currently suffering from a serious disease? And he asked Dad to send you back to the palace soon.” said Daniel with his face that looks very serious.

“So serious disease.” murmured Elena slowly.

“Yes. And I'm sorry, Elena. Father is still forbidden to tell you about the King's illness. The king only wants you to stay focused on the Kingdom not on his illness,” Daniel looked down unable to look at the face of the princess he has raised for 26 years, “And the King asks you to return to the Kingdom in the near future. Tomorrow is the right time.”

“Tomorrow?! That's too soon, Dad. I... I.. honestly Elena is not ready.”

Silence approached the two. Elena's eyes were closed and her mind floated far away thinking of herself—thinking about the life and country she was going to lead. Although Elena knew about her life and future from childhood, she was not ready to face it all. He was very doubtful about what he had prepared. And also she had been too comfortable living as Elena, the daughter of the famous Doctor Daniel Rosamun, not as Elena who was the daughter of King Ardorarias who had been hidden all along.

“Indeed it's too soon, but didn't Daddy remind you that these two days you have to finish all your business?”

Elena looked at the father with her eyes that had started to glaze over, “But Father.”

“We should have spent two days together. But.. forgive Dad, Elena.”

Elena's tears just fell when she heard Daniel's words. Hearing her father apologize for not being able to use the time to spend it together, made Elena even more sad. He realized that all this time he and his father rarely spent time together. Aside from her and her father being both busy, Elena knew her father was keeping a little distance from her.

“And Elena, you are the future successor of King Ardorarias. Your journey will begin soon. I can't promise to always take care of you in close quarters, especially when you return to the Kingdom later. You must be firm, tough and of course always humble,” Daniel took a deep breath before continuing his words, “And in the palace full of bad people. You must be firm in your own stand. Don't trust anyone else, not even me or the king. You just have to believe in yourself until anytime.”

Elena nodded in understanding, “Elena understood. Thanks for everything, Dad. Until whenever Elena will never be able to repay all your kindness. Elena hope Dad always supports until the end.”

“Definitely. I will always support your policy. Do your best for this country, Elena. I know you can do it and one day you will be a wise leader. Father's Prayer is always with you.”

Daniel got up from his seat and approached Elena. Hugged Elena with a very warm embrace as if her embrace now was the last hug she could give to Elena. So did Elena, she returned the arms of the father very tightly. He will always be grateful to Daniel who has taken care of and guided him until he is able to stand alone.

“Ya, Father.”

Elena got up from her seat and stepped towards the room. He saw the father who was still sitting pensively in front of the dining table, making Elena turn her body again. Hugged the father who was still sitting on the bench as before.

“One more time thank you for everything, Dad. If in the next life Elena could be reborn, Elena wanted to be Dad's daughter. Daughter of Daniel Rosamun.”

“Ya.”

Elena immediately left her father without looking at him. Elena did not know and did not realize that her father who was bowing his head was holding back tears. It was not only Elena who felt sad and lost, her father was much more devastated. Elena's presence in Daniel's life has brought her own happiness. If Daniel can be selfish, he also wants and hopes that Elena will continue and will always be his daughter, his biological daughter and not the only daughter entrusted to him.

“Sorry, Elena. Forgive Dad.

“The world is too selfish for you. No one really loves you in this world. Everyone just uses you.

“Im sorry Dad. I promise I will always look after you from far away. I will always protect you, even if I have to deal directly with the King. Dad will stay and always be there for you.”

And without Daniel knowing it, Elena who was in the room heard all of Daniel's words. The words he only addressed to himself were heard by Elena. Elena who initially wanted to take her phone back on the table he paused. He went back in and sat right behind the door.

“Thank you, Dad. Thank you.”

Elena cried in silence and the darkness of the night. Her tears continued to flow nonstop, “Everything is just using me? What does that mean, Dad? Do you know something I don't? About me?”

Elena drowned her face on both of her knees which she folded in front of her chest. Keep crying and thinking about something he himself doesn't know what he's really thinking.

“You're sincere to me, Dad. I know that you really loved me all this time. Thanks again. Thank you for giving me so much happiness and a little freedom. If it wasn't for you, I would never have known that the world was pretty beautiful.

“I will always remember the message as well as all the life lessons you gave me. I swear to you that I will be a just and wise leader as you have taught me all along.”

“One more time, thank you.”
