Earl of Billington and Miss Lyndon

Earl of Billington and Miss Lyndon
Chapter 14

Charles raised his eyebrows. "It seems like there's something important you're trying to say."

Ellie frowning. Is it that transparent?

"Yes," he said. "About the kiss..."

"I'd be more than happy to talk about the kiss" Charles said, and Ellie wasn't sure if the man was laughing or smiling, or...

Ellie did it again. He lost his concentration again, it's dangerous. "It can't happen again" Ellie said.

"Is that so?" charles asked slowly.

"If I will marry you..."

"You've agreed to do it" Charles said. His tone sounds dangerous

"I know it, and I won't deny it."

Ellie gulped, knowing that was exactly what she was threatened with Charles. "But I don't marry you unless you agree that we..."

"Are we not going to have a husband and wife?" Charles finished Ellie's sentence in a flat tone.

"Yes!" ellie said with great relief. "Yes, that's right."

"That's impossible."

"It won't be forever" Ellie hurriedly added. "Just until I get used to marriage."

"With marriage? or with me?"

"both."

Charles stayed silent for a few minutes.

"I didn't ask for much" Ellie said at last, unable to bear to hear the silence. "I don't want a lot of money. I don't need jewelry, or a dress..."

"You need a dress" Charles said.

"Well," Ellie agreed, thinking that wearing a shirt that was not brown would be nice. "I really need it. But that's it, nothing else."

Charles looked at Ellie's eyes sharply, "I need more."

Ellie gulps. "You'll get it. It just can't be anytime soon."

Charles tapped his fingers. That behavior was already a peculiarity of this man in Ellie's eyes.

"All right," said Charles. "I agree. But I want you to also agree to my request."

"I think you're telling me when you're ready to make our marriage a real marriage."

"Er. yes," said Ellie. He didn't really think about it. It was hard to think of anything as Charles sat before him, looking at him intently.

"First, I have to say that your attitude in our wedding plans seems to get in the way."

Ellie's eyes narrowed. "Have you never studied law? Because I think it's all legitimate."

"Someone in my position should have offspring, Miss Lyndon. It's stupid of me to agree to a deal like this without your assurances that your abstinence won't last forever."

"Of course," Ellie said softly, trying to ignore the feeling of sadness suddenly engulfing her heart. He thought it would make Charles want him more. Ellie should know more than that. This guy kissed her for something else. "I'm not gonna keep you waiting forever."

"good. And my second wish."

Ellie didn't like the way this guy looked at her.

Charles leaned his body. "I have every right to make you sure you're doing the opposite."

"I don't understand."

"Oh, huh? come here." come here."

Ellie shakes. "It doesn't seem like a good idea."

"Come, Deliana."

Charles called out his little name, and Ellie was completely shocked. Ellie hasn't given her permission to do that--but, Ellie must also agree to marry him, so she shouldn't argue over such a small matter.

"Deliana," repeated Charles, clearly almost lost his temper. When Ellie does not react at all, Charles sticks out his hand, grabs Ellie's hand, and pulls her through the mahogany table, and Ellie ends up in Charles's lap.

"Lord Billing..."

Charles's hand covered Ellie's mouth, then he drew closer to Ellie's ear and whispered, "When I say that I have the right to make you sure to do otherwise, I mean this."

Charles kisses her again, and Ellie's brain immediately refuses to think. Then the kiss ended abruptly, leaving a tremor all over Ellie's body. Charles smiled. "Fair enough?"

"I. ah..."

Charles enjoys Ellie's confusion. "That's the only way I can agree to your request."

Ellie nodded many times. Actually, how many times is this guy gonna kiss her? Ellie stood staggered. "I'd better go home."

"certain." Charles looked out the window. The weather was already bright, but the sun had already set. "And the other important things included in the deal, I think we can do it along the way."
