Chapter 36 - The Perfect Alibi

The steward gave Zulfikar a code to ask the suspects questions.

"Who has left the villa?" ask Zulfikar who helped with the investigation.

"Before dinner, my assistant went out to look for the things I asked for. He went to the villa guard house," Viola said.

"Anita also went out before dinner" one of the actresses accused.

"I'm not the only one out, but Wijaya also goes out before dinner." Anita accused Wijaya.

"I went out to smoke. The crew can certainly prove my alibi." Wijaya said with certainty.

"I can also prove the alibi of these two women. They had indeed gone to my house to look for items," said the villa guard.

"Actually I also saw the two women passing by, because I was sitting on the porch." The steward justifies Anita's alibi and Viola's assistant.

"If you may know, what items are they looking for?" asked Zukfikar to the villa guard.

Viola confirmed that.

"If the other woman, she's looking for a terrace and a bottle of oyster sauce to cook," said the villa's guard, pointing at Anita.

"True, Anita did bring those things to us who were cooking in the kitchen. But we don't really need those things" one actress said.

"Hey, didn't you say you wanted to saute kale? Shouldn't you add oyster sauce to make it more delicious? And terasi it will certainly be very delicious mixed into the sauce." Anita defended herself.

"Don't you know I'm allergic to shrimp? Isn't the shrimp made from shrimp? I can't eat terasi either" said the actress again.

"Not anywhere. I went straight home to the house I occupied. The crew can prove my alibi. If I walk into the house that the director is in, won't Detective Mas be looking at me?" Vijaya tried to convince his alibi.

"I did see him enter the house he occupied." The steward confirmed Wijaya's alibi.

"So who's the killer? Wouldn't Detective Mas be seeing clearly if anyone broke into the house that the director occupied? If Detective doesn't see anything, it means the killer is a ghost." One of the crew members concluded while shuddering in horror.

"That's right. Everyone who exited the villa could be proved alibi. Detective is also a key witness. But this Mas said he didn't see anyone coming out or going into the director's house. Isn't it just ghosts who can go in and out without being seen?" Wijaya agreed with the crew's opinion.

"I'm sure the killer wasn't a ghost, but one of us." The servant said while thinking.

"Absolutely who can kill a director without knowing when to get in and out of the scene?" Wijaya doubted the opinion of the king.

"Let him think!" zulfikar.

"One more question. After we arrive at this villa, who will enter the director's house?" ask Pramuja.

"Some of the crew members, Anita, Wijaya, me and my assistant, were at the director's house this afternoon for a chat" Viola said.

"Is anything suspicious?" ask Pramuja.

"none. It's just that, Wijaya, Anita and my Assistant had time to borrow a toilet to urinate," Viola replied.

The steward just nodded his head hearing Viola's words.

"I'll be out for a minute, Zul. Please take care of them here. Don't let anyone out of here!"

The steward came out of the house and started walking in front of the villa area. He looked at the houses one by one. Looks like the villa guard house is located a little far from the row of houses lined up but still clearly visible.

The steward tries to break into the house that the director occupied. Although from the front of all the villa houses look the same, but there is a difference in the location of the window and the position of the toilet. The house occupied by the director turned out to have a window without a trellis in the back area. It was the most reasonable access for the Killer to come in and out without being seen by the Steward.

Sure enough, the window was unlocked. Position right next to the toilet. It could have been Wijaya, Anita, or her assistant Viola unlocking her by pretending to borrow the director's toilet.

The rear position of the house is left 1 meter before there is a long wall that limits the rear area of the villa. That's enough for someone to get through and out of that window.

The villa guard house was behind the perimeter wall, but there was a door at the end of the wall. Just behind the house occupied by the flight attendant. Maybe it was because Anita and her assistant Viola were passing through there to go to the villa guard house.

"That person is the most suspicious. But how do I break that perfect alibi?" muttered the servant, while going into the toilet.

The steward immediately exited the director's house and ran towards one of the houses. He looked for the toilet and checked the door inside.

"Perfect!" the thrill of having found an important clue to solve his case.
